Incorporated in 1938, OVEC now provides over 15,000 members with service to homes and businesses through 3,670 miles of distribution line.   1. The infrastructure is really poor, with the power knocking out around West Clark when it pours. Pretty ironic how Butler’s nickname is the “Electric City” when it can’t even keep the power on.

  2. The deposit is ridiculous so we went with prepaid. The bill is just high and if you owe 10 cents they cut you off and it will be below freezing outside and I have children.

  5. Excellent and reliable service for almost 30 years. When there were problems they were remidied promply. Nine times out of ten they are already on their way before we call. We are a bit off the beaten path so that is impressive.
