Be a lot cooler if the power didnt go out when there isnt even inclement weather. Guess I’ll need to wait 5 hours or so.
Called to clarify information and was treated like I was stupid. Staff should take customer service skills training.
$600 deposit? $170 a month bill with solar panels. Crazy.
If you have a choice don’t go with Osage Valley lucky if you got power half the time
The infrastructure is really poor, with the power knocking out around West Clark when it pours. Pretty ironic how Butler’s nickname is the “Electric City” when it can’t even keep the power on.
The deposit is ridiculous so we went with prepaid. The bill is just high and if you owe 10 cents they cut you off and it will be below freezing outside and I have children.
If i could give 0 stars, i would. $600 deposit or prepaid, we went with prepaid… we are paying roughly $300 a month. I have never had an electric bill so high and we don’t leave lights running . KCPL needs to take over my community, i never had a bill over $100 with them.

Excellent and reliable service for almost 30 years. When there were problems they were remidied promply. Nine times out of ten they are already on their way before we call. We are a bit off the beaten path so that is impressive.
