Peidmont Athens Regional Reviews ( 250 )

  1. This facility is awful. We were here for over 3 hours waiting for my friend to get in a ROOM!!! She was left in the HALLWAY for hours!!! We were given very little information and weren’t even able to see her.

  2. Have a seizure…. Not a baby….. These people are non caring non empathetic slugs and the so called labor delivery doctor/executioner is the coldest….. No names ……. Repercussions to come!!!!!

  3. Ty peidmont Athens Regional center to all the Dr.and staff for the outstanding service you gave when my boyfriend had to get his leg cut off do to dibectic complications thank you for saveing his life

  4. I tried to get a refural to go see a neurologist from AR but they threw me around the hospital to talk to EVERYONE except the people I need to talk to and when I finally got somewhere SOMEONE PICKED UP THE PHONE AND SLAMED IT BACK DOWN AND HUNG UP ON ME!! I WAS ON THE PHONE FOR AN HOUR AND GOT HUNG UP ON!! FORGET THAT!

  5. My sister-in-law and brother had their baby there on Sunday they have treated them so badly they have been given him nothing but problems their food is awful it always comes in Burned and cold they have no respect for anyone only one nurse …

  6. Worst hospital I’ve ever been to for any reason. In Athens, use St. Mary’s, or visit Atlanta, Braselton, Winder, Gainesville or Gwinnett for better care.

  7. Nurses and staff were nice my wife and I had our son here but there was construction next door and it was really loud hammering and drilling kept waking the baby up not relaxing at all

  8. I love Athens Regional Medical Center that’s the best hospital they’re 100% better than St. Mary’s Healthcare System and Athens Regional Medical Center have some very nice nurses they are very kind and sweet they will take good care of you …

  9. Useless hospital. Had my son here a few months ago and was told to call if I had questions. I got transfered several times before being told they couldn’t help me. Don’t waste your time with this hospital.

  10. Dr Newman and nurse Dana o’neal Are amazing the best experience we ever had !!! Thank you so much for everything you did for my daughter and making her comfortable and not anxious ❤️

  11. I took my daughter to the emergency Room she was DE hydrated and very lethargic and they took everyone that come in after me back 1st and put my child on the back burner for people who was just in there for pills I would never recommend any one going here

  12. They will have u sit sleep in ER all nite give u very littlw attention OR medicine..should just gone urgent care.. N my my lady doc had major ego attitude.. U not listening.. To what lady u telling me u aint gonna do nothang for me.. Ya hrard that.. NEXT

  13. Hands down i trust them delivering babies i totally trust surgery weather its gall bladder removal w dr webb or lung removal with dr Lu or baby with dr goggins hands down to the best

  14. X-ray Mark(Mac) was amazing! He did everything to ensure that my grandmother and I were very comfortable. He was beyond extraordinary a long with the rest of The staff. Thanks for all you do!

  15. My dad says “Been going to this facility all my life, but have heard lots of complaints concerning the cleanliness of it, I understand now about the complaints. The ER waiting room and Medical Rooms were atrocious, can not atrocious I was in a actually medical facility, won’t be going back soon hopefull!”

  16. My elderly Parents were left outside by themselves (my mom, and dad in a wheelchair and vomiting out in the emergency room parking lot while me and my sister were getting the car to pick them up). This was 4:00 am, my Mom is 83 and Dad is 85. This happened on 9/6/15.

  17. Worst hospital experience EVER. This is by far the most unorganized facility I have come upon. I do not understand how this hospital is still open, now maybe the other sectors are better but I most definitely do not recommend coming here for labor and delivery. Northside was by far a more pleasant experience.

  18. Waited four hours for blood work! Please don’t bring your sick animals here much less humans! Please take your loved ones to Northeast Ga hospital if you care for them at all!

  19. I had the most comfortable experience and the nurses there so awesome this one I had and was her name was Laura she took care of everything without question if I had to do it again I wouldn’t change a thing.

  20. The only reason they get a 2 is because the nurses are awesome. They do the best they can working short staffed. Whoever made the decision to cut staff needs to reevaluate.

  21. Admitted after bad fall with 2 broke feet. Left ft double compound fracture rt ft broke in several places. Were able to save left ft ans took excellent care of me and accommodations for my wife.

  22. WORST HOSPITAL EVER. I WENT IN TO GET TREATED AND HAD INSURANCE BUT I STILL LEFT IN PAIN. DOCTORS PUT ME ON THE BACK BURNER AND IVE BEEN HERE FOR 6 HRS.
WORST HOSPITAL EVER. TRUST ME . IM A SICKLE CELL PATIENT . THE NURSE DONT CARE AS MUCH AT ALL TILL WHERE I THOUGHT I WAS A RACIAL THING. BUT IM NOT GOING THAT FAR ..

  23. Tried to call to see if I needed an appointment for a chest X-Ray because of this pandemic. First time they hung up on me without bothering to speak. The second time they put me on hold for a few moments, only to hang up on me again. Real professional. Thanks for the assistance.

  24. My family being from Monroe, Ga., we have used ARHSMC many times for several members over many years. We have always been impressed with outstanding staff and services. We highly recommend them to others for medical service needs…

  25. The service is great but they will get the every penny you have. My insurance paid the correct amount but they want me to pay even the write-off amount since my deductible was already met. Think twice before you go there.

  26. Hospital owes me refund I had to call and ask for the refund. I was told it was process that would take a couple weeks for me to get a refund. I’m sure if I owed the hospital the paperwork would not take as long. Hoping I actually get a refund.

  27. This hospital is horrible and very unprofessional i was sent home after telling them i could not breathe due to Dvt & Pe i was turned away with no scans of chest done 2 weeks later i end back in from collapsing in my living room turns out …

  28. Thanks to everyone who went above and beyond treating me tonight. I was first seen by Regional First Care in Jefferson who sent me straight to Athens Regional. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Keep it up guys and girls. Your compassion and caring was greatly appreciated.

  29. Hospital denies my financial aid bc I didn’t submit something they never asked for… I would do $1 a month for the next 2,000 months but the min to pay by phone is $10. I guess I can reapply and let them give my family the run around again… I’m sure those f**ks have a full fridge of groceries, must be nice.

  30. If you dont have money or insurance they treat you the same but its almost like some staff hate you. My wife was there for a 6 week stay. Tbe nurses was nice. The theropy people were rude.

  31. Fantastic staff, but the dietary department is awful, I needed a special diet and what they served I wouldn’t feed to my. dogs. I complained, the nurses intervened, the Dr. spoke with them, I decided the only way to eat was to have my sister bring in food.

  32. It was okay I just had a lot going on and I lost my my nerves and had to refind them again. They real good people and good to talk to you when they have time to talk to you. Walton county is a good place I lived there all my life until some months back but I am even happier where I am at now. Keep up the good work.

  33. Best staff, nurses and doctors. No matter how busy they are you never felt left alone. Check on my husband continously from beginning to end. Comparing to other er this is the best one so far.

  34. This hospital goes above and beyond for their patients. They are the ONLY hospital that didn’t kick my mentally ill brother-in-law out for being un-insured. They actually sent him to Peachford. They saved his life, literally. Many thanks to them.

  35. I would give no stars if i could. But the staff was nice. Food was ok but the facility was nasty. House keeping left the shower filthy. Boogers on the draws. Drains filmed over with gray slime. The staff is the only saving grace. Doctors …

  36. This place is so unbelievable. Children in the waiting room Crying from being Sick. Ya think they would See them First. They’re kids that are not able to fend or care for themselves. Adults are. At 1x, this use to be a Good Hospital. I don’t know what happened, but it sucks now!!

  37. My toddler had to have surgery here and I could not ask for a better experience. The nurses, doctors, and everyone in between were fabulous. I am so thankful & I highly recommend them!!

  38. Terrible experience as my 80yr old great grandmother had hip surgery here & obviously requires post acute rehab… finally got grandmother on board to go to nursing home as that’d be the safest/quickest way to get her back up to before fall …

  39. Got into an atv accident and when I arrived they rushed me into a room and provided services quickly I got an x-ray and cat scan within 20 minutes of arriving the doctor came in quickly upon arrival and I got a prognosis and was prepared …

  40. Save your self a headache and go to St. Marys. Customer service is horrible at the Occupational Health Facility. They tried to tell me they don’t file insurance and we would have to be self pay even after BCBS spoke to them asking them to file a claim because it was covered 100% with them.

  41. Piedmont has a very bad reputation when it comes to billing. Either it is incorrect or they send one bill and if not paid send it straight to collections. Not only has this happened to me but two co-workers. You are going through enough …

  42. I thought the care was exceptional. I arrived at the er with a back injury and was escorted inside for a quick triage assessment and was taken to a room rather quickly. …

  43. It is a big difference in the area your being seen on the mother and baby floor every single nurse and doctor was amazing 👏I do mean amazing from morning to night shift they were quick to check us in and get us back they communicated …

  44. I will never return to this hospital. Both of my children, my husband, my sister, and I were all born here and it has really gone down hill. If you need care, so to St. Mary’s!! I could go on for days about my experiences but I already did that with the patient relations coordinator and that did nothing. Just don’t do it!

  45. I went to the ER with severe facial and sinus pain, to the point where I was screaming and could barely see out of my left eye. I waited 30 minutes for the doctor to come poke my face a few times, ask if it hurt, then proceed to write me a …

  46. First off I want to say my experience here is typical rasism from start to finish M.D PRICE IS A incompetent Doctor… Who do not take the time to diagnose a patient or have time for just one patient unless there’s someone over him …

  47. Wait time to get my girl back was very short. Her back was hurting. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of free parking with validation. Had to take x ray. It was reviewed quickly. Not a bad emergency department.

  48. My wife and I went here for the birth of my son. They sold us a couple weeks prior on being “family friendly” over St. Mary’s. Then came the birth. …

  49. I go past a hospital and drive 20 extra minutes to go to Athens Regional when I can. They have saved my life twice and their patient services have always been good for me. Hospitals seem to all be under staffed but this is the least under staffed place within 75 miles. PARMC is my preferred medical facility.

  50. I would rather die than come back to this facility. Nurses are rude, and doctors are scarce. They’re doing blood work in the waiting room, I was seen in triage, and they gave me my diagnosis in the hallway. Completely inconsiderate staff. If I could give negative stars, I would.

  51. Very bad experience.. My emergency department physician was Sewell, Eric F, MD. He sent me out the way I came in I was in beyond record of pain. I went to another hospital which I was very satisfied I will never go to Piedmont again.

  52. From the ER doctors to the heart failure unit and all the doctors and nurses and care techs I appreciate all the good service you guys provided me while I was in the Hospital and to the doctors that came from other places in Athens to see …

  55. I’m posting in regards to the billing department. Before they changed over, you could pay in full with a discount for doing so. Now, not only do they not offer the discount, but the number for the bill pay doesn’t work and the billing …

  56. I want to thank the Doctors and Nurses for taking care of my husband within 5 minutes of him getting to the ER.What a WONDERFUL HOSPITAL. My husband waited over 1 hour at Northridge hospital in commerce for treatment after he fell on a tree …

  57. The billing department was far less than helpful when the mountains of bills started to roll in after my wife’s miscarriage!! Due to a change in sub-contracted billing departments, which I certainly would have never known about, I missed …

  58. When you walk in the Emergency Room there is a lingering and disturbing smell. The nurses are nice, but the doctors, specifically Kimberly Tomlinson, will leave you unattended for hours on end without an update on what’s going on.

  59. If there were less stars than a 1 I would rate them lower. It is definitely a business. My experience was like a scam that I couldn’t get out of. I certainly feel that way now that the parade of doctors that I didn’t need to see have …

  60. i unexpectedly had to spend a week at Piedmont. i’m astonished at how wonderful these people are .everyone i met were encouraging and compassionate . from the Drs to the janitorial staff ,all of these folks were the best .i actually miss the crew in the ortho wing . thank you so much .Daniel Hogan

  62. After vomiting for 14 hours straight, Piedmont’s form of “treatment” was a glass of water and anti nausea meds. Come to find out later, I was experiencing an episode of acute pancreatitis. Whatever you’re dealing with, you’re better off rubbing dirt in it than coming here.

  63. I went to the emergency room after an ATV accident. I waited a couple hours. They took me for some x-rays and a couple other test. I was discharged with a diagnosis of a acute sprain of wrist and foot. I took the pain for the next 5-6 …

  70. A man vomited in floor and no one cleaned it up. Before Piedmont took over, I took my husband to ER with kidney stones and had great experience. Today was very dis-appointing. Sad. We did not receive good care but I will be sure to receive a bill for several hundred ….even thousands. 🙁

  71. I am a sufferer of Chronic Lyme Disease, I was seen last week for a very serious acute pain attack. The nurses and Dr were great, didn’t make me feel like I was losing my mind, treated me with compassion and respect. Would definitely recommend this hospital.

  76. All they care about is money. The thousands of dollars they charge patients isn’t enough. They only offer paid parking on site and quit offering any parking validation to patients.

  77. Why do they make patients drive to the hospital for a 3-hr pre-op process, when they repeatedly asked the very same 50 questions the morning of surgery and in CICU? Why are your computer systems not all connected? Do your nurses have …

  119. DO NOT fall for the billing scam Piedmont perpetuates of pre-payment of services. You will likely overpay and their incompetent staff will drag their feet as long as possible on refund. FIVE requests with the same clear instructions and two months later they still managed to botch the refund by applying it to a closed HSA.

  120. My mom was in PCU, while there she was left for hours uncomfortable unable to get out the bed and the nurses treating her like the plague. They take their time not caring if patient is comfortable, giving her an over the counter tylenol for a 13 mm kidney stone that had to surgical remove.
