Wayne Westland Federal Credit Union began in 1954 based on the credit union “people helping people” philosophy. As a community-chartered credit union, we put our members first in all we do. We’re not like a typical bank. WWFCU is not-for-profit, which means all of our earnings go back to you, our members, in the form of lower loan rates and fewer fees. And since you’re a member – not just a customer – you have a say in what we do.

  1. My insurance was dropped because my debit card cant be used with progressive. When asked why, i was told for my safty… my insurance was cancelled and your worried about my safty?? What a joke.

  2. I applied over the phone for a loan for $xx,700 and was approved. When I went to close on the loan, they had it in the system as $700. Don’t apply over the phone at this place. Complete waste of my time!

  8. This credit union is the best. Friendly tellers and associates. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Joleen is extremely helpful and kind. I highly recommend my friends and anyone else to join this credit union.

  9. Website is continually having problems, online banking is broken, multiple breaches this year already, short hours, and outsourced technical support. Been with the credit union over 20 years, and each year has been progressively worse. Got a second account with another institution and experienced none of these issues.

  13. Twice their debit network has been down when I really needed it to be up. Being closed every Wednesday is super inconvenient. Honestly, any business being closed on a week day is just lazy business. I do not recommend this CU. They are not an improvement on doing business with a regular bank.

  20. Online experience is terrible. Mobile app is ages behind. But they charge you $35 the second your account goes under. I work for a living. And have several accounts with them. So if my account goes under $0.95, they charge $35 instead of email/calling/text. No grace. And they won’t pull from another account the <$1 you go over.

  24. I love this credit union. The only downside about it is when you locked your online account and got to wait until the next morning to edit your bill payment. And thy have i believe 4 ATM on in Wayne and 2 at the branch and one in the Westland police department

  26. They canceled my debit card without telling me and haven’t replaced it no matter how many times I call or hoops I jump through. It’s been over a month and I haven’t had access to my money. Go to a different bank. Literally anywhere else. Your money is safer in your mattress than at this establishment.

  27. Nadia Ulicne was very sweet considering my situation. Everyone was 6 feet apart in masks. Staff was excellent even thru all the tech issues and rehiring, that has happened in the last year. Thankful for the full heart feel the staff gives and looking forward to their new updated app and banking methods at your finger tips.

I got charged a ‘lifestyle checking fee’…whatever that is, it was $5 which wasn’t too great to see when I already only have $10 in my account since I only send a portion of my direct deposit here. I think I’ll end up closing my account before I get slammed with one of their lovely $35 overdraft fees.

  43. Multiple fees for not changing my address with them in what they consider a timely manner. I did a lot of work on my new home and did not change a lot of mail to go there as I was still living at my previous home.
