Truity Credit Union

Truity Credit Union

Truity Credit Union was founded in 1939 by the Jane Phillips Sorority in Bartlesville, OK. Mildred Hunt was the first treasurer and during her lunch break and after hours she conducted credit union business at her desk in the pipeline department at Phillips Petroleum Company. At that time a single quarter opened a savings account and allowed members to obtain unsecured loans up to $50. From these beginnings we have developed into a full service financial institution. Truity Credit Union is a “not for profit, but for service” cooperative financial institution. We offer a full range of financial services to our members including basic savings and checking accounts, mortgage loans, complex investment planning, and much more. Our members are our owners, there are no “shareholders” controlling the Credit Union. Each member has one vote and equal ownership. This allows us the freedom to concentrate on our most important asset, our members.

  1. They have the worst security/fraud prevention, they lock my card on false alarms all the time but the TWO times I’ve had my account stolen they missed it

  2. Madison was awesome in trying to help me locate a message that shows up occasionally when I am looking for something in online banking. We did not locate the mysterious message but she was very polite, helpful and offered many suggestions to help me. Thank you Madison!

  3. Been using this credit union for a few years now and been pretty happy with there service until recently when trying to pay off a loan and nobody seems to be on the same page in there!! Every time i call or go in they either can’t do it or …

  4. I have always been pleased with the customer service of this credit union. Their early fraud detection discovered that someone was charging against my account before I was even aware of it. Also, I don’t get charged for every little thing like banks tend to do.

  5. This location offers a very large variety of services and support, and is conveniently located downtown for those who work in the offices nearby. The ATM is in a convenient spot for off-hour visits, and wait times inside are generally …

  6. Had an issue today. Wasn’t happy. After leaving a review, I received a phone call in an effort from Truity to make sure my issue is avoided in the future. We are all human. Thank you the call.

  7. Downtown is the normal Truity I tend to use weekly, and service is great. Normally it seems like they have new trainees learning every time I visit. Last time they printed my cashiers check wrong, it was fixed but it’s once every other …

  8. BEWARE!!!! Declined our card the same day we headed to San Antonio, TX With over $2,000 in our account they blocked our card. My fiancé went into the branch where they said they “activated” it only to block it again. Customer service is a …

  9. Paid over 5 years no missed payments. When I closed the account for my Jeep. They had a chance to say hey, this guy paid all of his payments on time in the details on my credit report. They did not!!!!

  10. Applied for a joint credit card account with my husband. #1 their disclosures they advertised the card with (which I based my reasoning for even applying on) were incorrect and due to their failure to post accurate disclosures I was given a …

  11. I moved from OKC to Bartlesville. I did mystery shopping in okc and updated when I moved here. I took a mystery shopping job in Bartlesville. I deposited the check in Truity Credit Union and left to walmart. I did the job. When I left …

  12. Put a block on my card for no reason. Called 4 times….3 Friday night and 1 Saturday and their telling me that it’s blocked from the bank and I can’t get it taken care of til Monday. Will be withdrawing all my money out of this bank. DONOT USE TRUITY.

  13. Jessica at Bartlesville’s downtown location is wonderful! Our PTO came in with a large deposit and she did a great job taking care of us. She was patient as we got everything in order, counted accurately, and gave us tips on counting and preparing our large deposits. We really appreciate her help!

  14. When my mother passed away, Truity took it upon themselves to reject my mothers SS deposit. I called and asked why. They told me that they can do that based on an obituary notice. As a CU if you know anything about SS, you know that a …

  15. Classic Chev helped me finance my car thru there. The interest rate was kind of high but I was in a bind. I live in Tulsa so Bartlesville was little inconvenient so I refinanced with my credit union in Tulsa. Truity made it easy to close …

  16. AVOID THIS CREDIT UNION BY ALL COST. They do not care about the customer. From time to time life tends to get the best of a person. No matter who you are. Especially after covid. In my circumstances it was time. This is the worst year I …

  17. Excellent customer service, helpful staff, and great rates. Provides good security for online banking, mobile app, and card transactions. Would recommend Truity CU to others who qualify to join. Tyson Foods employees qualify. To set up a savings account snd join cost $25 (refundable at account close).

  18. Stay away from Truity. They’re not good. Horrible people. They charged me $7000 because State Farm made a mistake. Then proceeded to refuse to take off the $7000 until they finally cut it down. Now they’re trying to charge me $1500 a month. I’ve always heard bad things about Truity but didn’t think it would be that bad. They are.

  19. The only thing which would make Truity a better place would be to offer better rates on mortgage loans. They are so risk adverse they don’t offer any first time home buyers programs, or even loans for this area of the market. Other than this Truity has good rates, and offers all of the services major U.S. banks offer.
