Pentex is a joke. They have monopolized the electricity industry in my area and have sent prices sky high. My electricity bill is now double what it was under Cooke County CoOp for winter time usage. Disgusting for them to run prices up knowing that they are the only option for power in the area.
I am aware ERCOT has mandated rolling outages. BUT PLEASE LEAVE THE PUMPS IN CALLISBURG RUNNING. Animals are dying and we are in dire need of water. PENTEX controls who loses power, why are 95% of your customers without power!?!? ESPECIALLY NEEDED UTILITIES LIKE WATER.
Their service is great. They went above and beyond to help me get power. Cheaper than other electric companies I’ve used in the past, once you factor in all the included fees and other charges of other companies. Cooperatives care and it showed.
Never thought I’d leave a positive review for a utility company…. but honestly I have to call out a particular employee here, Cindy Wolf. She was way beyond helpful and even reached out to make sure everything was correct. It’s employees like this that make a great company.

Came home today to no electricity. (I’m in far east Cooke County) I called and had 2 repairmen here in less than an hour. They determined that the transformer was out and had to get a new one and a boom truck sent from Muenster. Total time from initial call to power fully restored was 2 hours and 20 minutes. Awesome service!
Easy online bill payments. Never had any problems with this company and I’ve been with them since 2006. Very pleasant if you need to talk to them. Overall I think it’s a FANTASTIC company!
For pickups and delivery: Pull in, turn right for right gate, after you go through gate turn left immediately, the warehouse will be on your right side with the canopies overhead. Exit the same way you came in. Nice people.
