I moved to Pittsburgh for a while and I missed the Altoona Water Authority terribly both in terms of service and water quality. We really have a great water service here!

What a scam always a lost bill so they can charge you a late fee .super unprofessional to talk to and to lazy to check on the problem. Its your post office box not mine. What a ripoff.
Twice we have had water backup in our basement and twice they came out and resolved the issue within an hour of calling. They have always been helpful and polite when we’ve needed to call about anything as well.
If there was a no star but an I would have pressed that. I pray every night that another water source comes available to the ppl of altoona. And as you keep reading they love to hang up on you repeatedly.
Keeps shutting off my water with no shut off notices and say my due date is on the 16th the shut it off the 7th.. no communication and lack of respect and obviously don’t know how to do there jobs. I would give 0 stars
UPDATE, 7/27: FINALLY got the water back on. Water Authority finally admitted after multiple calls and in-person office visits that they shut off the water TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. Suggestion: Hire some folks who can read. $75 bill credit …
The workers keep parking across the street from my house for hours with no construction in the area. Its smells like pot and they just toss their garbage on the ground in the lot where they park hidden behind a tractor trailer. Classy.
