I have had a few too many visits here, and the nurses have always been nothing short of incredible!
Most of the staff is good but the billing department is horrible. Blows up my voicemail to remind me all the time I owe my $80 a month. They misdiagnosed me three times and charged me like crazy for it

My mom was sent home with stroke symptoms and a few days later she had a major stroke in the middle of the night. Ambulance was directed to go to Mosaic Hospital in St.Joe. They were appalled to hear what happened. She lost the use of her left leg and arm. There is very little staff there at night.
There was only one doctor on call! Two patients, and it’s a Friday night! In any hospital, atleast where I come from, there are usually atleast 3 doctors on call even in the smaller towns of 500. We are going on hour number 3 of being here …
This is most poorly run hospital I have ever been to. when I ha a stroke, the ER doctor told me it was a virus and to go to urgent care. I sat there for two hours and was never seen. Now they send me a bill for $1,400 with three days notice. What a shame and a disgrace to our community.
I started working here February 2014. The staff here has been so friendly and has helped me to learn so much, they are committed to providing the best patient care possible and always improving. I will always be thankful for my experience at Atchison Hospital.
I don’t know how anyone could give anything less than 5 stars! Every time I have ever been there for me or my children I am VERY satisfied!!
