Our goal is and always has been to help our members do better financially. As a not for profit, full service financial institution, APCO Employees Credit Union offers the products and features you would find at a typical bank and combines them with the personal attention and advantages of a Credit Union. For example, we offer low rates and have lower fees than those you would find at a common bank. We have been around since 1953 and have grown to become the second largest credit union in Alabama. We serve members through 20 Credit Union branches in Alabama, our Digital Banking platform, and through CU Service Centers strategically located throughout the nation.

Best banking experience… Great customer service
Easy to use and when you do have a problem the employees help with ease.
Personnel are always very helpful and share a smile.
Have a blessed day.
The people are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to go the extra mile to give you the service you need.
Great customer service! Also, the best rates for deposits and loans you will find anywhere.
Great employees and helped me with everything I needed.
I don’t have many many eggs , but what precious few I have are in good hands here at APCO Credit Union .
Good to work with. I like that they are insured by the government. Some credit unions hove a non government insurance.
Been a member since 2008. Great bank, little behind on the Mobile side slightly but hard to beat customer service and Bank itself.
I have been a member of APCO Employees Credit Union for almost 20 years. The service you receive is always top-notch. Great people with the desire to help their members!
Thank you!
Better than any big bank you will find. I’ve done a lot of business with APCO and they have always treated me great. Best APR of any lender I’ve seen. I just wish they had a business account so I could use them for everything.
My wife talked me in trying her credit union and I did only to find out you can’t use a password manager with there website or iPhone app. Where the password manager keeps your very hard to remember passwords it copies the pass word to the …
The biggest thing is that APCO credit union is truly ran to benefit its members. The people at the main office in Birmingham are always very friendly. I have been a member since 2006. This has been my primary bank ever since, even though I have not lived in Alabama since 2007.
Got a mortgage through APCU a year ago, the loan officer I worked with wasn’t helpful and actually lost my paperwork which delayed the closing by 3 months. I don’t have other accounts there but since then I have gone in for a couple of …
So far I am not very impressed with this credit union. I am not sure if it is just the person that we dealt with or the entire credit union. We made an appointment to do an auto loan and it felt like the initial person that helped us at …
Not a good place for a long term savings account. A savings account is a place where your money can be kept safely, if they see no money added or withdrawn over a couple of months, they start charging a “fee” until the account is drained …
They have good products and decent rates for savings. Customer service is BAD. God help you if you ever have questions or need help. The person you need to talk to is never there and they DO NOT return calls.
We recently refinanced our mortgage due to the excellent interest rate and no closing costs offer. The experience with the MLO was fair at best. He was slow to respond, whited out information on the LE, got huffy with me when I was upset …
