We are fortunate to have Athol and Heywood hospitals in our area. My wife and I have received numerous health care services there, and have nothing but positive to say about the staff and services.
Went in for some chest pain.. They took me in right away.. All the staff was great.. Had a small episode and one of the nurses took handle of it right away and helped me with my breathing. Everything came back good they said, which was …
One of the worst hospitals I’ve been to in terms of their ER. Unless you are in critical condition and can’t take the time to drive out, go to ANY other ER. A 30 minute drive could save you literally hours of your time or perhaps even your life.
Worst ER in the state by far. They pick and choose who goes in with no order whatsoever. When I questioned it an employee stated that other patients have been waiting upwards of 3 hours and they havent complained. Please do not rely on the service here and if possible go elsewhere.
My favorite ER! Every time I walk in here I feel like I’m acknowledged immediately. Sometimes by the dr. Themselves! They register us quickly and get us right to a room. I feel like they are thorough, and don’t waste a lot of time
Please inform your new staff the cyclists have the right of way in town, they cannot idle on the sidewalk and bike lane and refuse to back up. Hopefully more of your staff don’t end up with traffic violations. This is the face you will make.
So nicely updated, the hospital is gorgeous now and state of the art especially for our little area. They’ve always cared for all of my family’s needs no matter the issue. I’m so happy and grateful to have a great facility available so close to home
If I could give zero stars I would had a horrendous experience got brought in by ambulance with syncope. Dr comes in and looks at me doesn’t even check me out and stops the nurse from doing blood work and discharged me and says see your primary mind you I just moved out here and can’t see them until July and it’s March.

After reading the previous comments its clear this hospital would rather apologize for the inconvenience rather than fix the issues, especially in the mental health department. My last visit I had I waited 2 hours for someone to clear me.

Worst hospital to go to. Especially when you have absolutely no idea what is causing your pain and all they do is take a cat scan blood work and urine test. Finds nothing but sends you off without even knowing what Is causing the pain. Will never trust them ever again. Guess it’s all who you know.
