Augusta Pain Center Reviews ( 50 )

  1. Effective pain relief for me, but billing department is the worst I have ever encountered. Even though I pay co-pay in advance, they send more bills weeks later with no explanation of what they are for and accuse you of nonpayment. I’m not going back.

  2. Falsly accused me of doing meth.. then admitted making a mistake.. i was mad.. took me back a month then let me go AGAIN!.. what can i do after being on meds for 17 yrs.. never failed drug screen in my life!

  3. This place is setup to take your money and not offer you help. Everybody in this place isn’t on the same sheet of music. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody

  4. All this place wants to talk about is ejections….I’ve been on my med for over 15 years now…and they say you don’t need meds….please save your time and money..go..somewhere else..you will be glad you did ..trust me on this.

  5. Trying to get admitted as a patient here is like trying to get into an ivy league college. If you think injections are your salvation, this might be the place for you.

  6. Dr Eptor and his staff are wonderful.i was pain free from 2005 until now . i am a patient then and will continue .they really care and make me feel important . my pain matters to them . thank you augusta pain center . mike

  7. I saw a doctor by the name of Bedder. His name is definitely an oxymoron because he didn’t make anything better. He made me feel ignorant and only listened to what he wanted to hear. There has to be other options… DO NOT GO HERE

  8. I’ve been visiting this facility for 2 years now. The PTs are great to work with. The Dr.’s and nurses are knowledgeable.
My favorite therapy has been the aquatic therapy. It’s been a blessing.

  9. They were amazing with me. They listen to everything I had to say, asked me questions, did an exam and explained everything to me. They’re trying to keep me on meds that work and not trying other stuff. I loved his staff and pa as well! I will continue to go back to them! Thank you so much!

  10. Dr. Epter and his staff have been wonderful. The staff are so friendly and they actually take the time to listen and help me the best way they can. They have gone way above and beyond to help me the best way they can. I can’t wait for this …

  11. Waited 4 hrs…still no doctor..finally someone comes in and says that the doctor will be a little longer..there were two patients ahead if me…i got up and left..after 4 hrs I had enough. Don’t recomend this clinic to anyone..never again…lousy

  12. I guess they don’t need new patients because it appears they have one lady who does new patient intake and is either never there or doesn’t know how to answer a phone. Called periodically leaving messages for over two weeks. But after reading all the other negative reviews I’m glad I didn’t waste my time.

  13. Dr. Epter is a great doctor, I see a lot of people complaining on here about how this place is mainly injections, and it is. GA is highly against medications. I would suggest some research before hand, I came here at the age of 22 and I am …

  14. I would give them no stars if I could but obviously I can’t. I’ve been going here for 2 years for help with my fibromyalgia pain. If u have this kind of pain u know how I feel. I also have chronic migraines. This is what they wanted to …

  15. I agree with the other two comments regarding this practice. My first visit I was there for over 3 hours! The doc was more concerned with using his technical skills to have his computer type his words than telling me what he thought I …

  16. Hardly ever see Dr Epter, usually his practitioner. I’ve been going there for just over a year with no relief of my nerve pain. I have an incomplete spinal cord injury (I’m paralyzed) For about 6 months, no adjustments were made to any of …

  17. I was seen by a (I don’t think doctor is the appropriate term) woman who refused to treat me AFTER I paid $398 cash. I’ve never been treated so harshly by a professional in my life. I was told that since I don’t have insurance, I couldn’t …

  18. If you are even able to see Dr. Epter instead of his nurse practitioner, you will see that he is extremely arrogant and lacks compassion. I suffer from a chronic illness, degenerative disc disease and bulging discs. I live in constant pain. …

  19. I’ve moved many times in the last few years, and have had pain management services in many places, but this center was the worst experience I’ve had. They treated me as a drug-seeker from the beginning, even though I’ve never even been on …

  20. I normally do not post negative reviews but in this case I think it is required. I have been to my fair share of doctors appointment in my life. I have NEVER been asked to undress for a doctor unless you are at a OBGYN appointment, and stay …

  21. I am currently sitting in the waiting room at APC. I had come to pick up paperwork for FMLA that I needed that had been dropped off two weeks prior. 2 and a half hours later and I am still waiting for my paperwork and still going to be …

  22. It’s an ok place but in search of relief after 4 years is hard in Augusta Georgia no matter where you go. These doctors are afraid to prescribe medication for fear you’ll be satisfied and they’ll lose out on surgery or procedure money . I’ll just suffer at this point

  23. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Bedder and his staff. Everyone is extremely friendly and professional here. Dr. Bedder is truly concerned about your care. He listens to all that ails you to make an INFORMED decision about your treatment. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him for your pain management needs.

  24. I came in to see if there was anything that could be done to relieve the continuous pain in my foot. After check in I was given a urinalysis, which was understandable considering the nature of their work. I complied, and after was …

  25. Very little if any compassion for patients in chronic pain. They want you to see a psychologist before prescribing ANY medicine whatsoever. Zero empathy whatsoever for people hurting. I went with a friend who’s physician did not get his …

  26. They’re a procedure mill…they book 3 deep appointments so the average wait is 1.5-2+ hours to get back to a procedure room and then another long wait for the doctor to come in. I’m here now and I will be getting my procedure but I won’t …

  27. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. So the first visit you have they tell you on the phone that’s it’s going to be a 2 hour visit because the doctors really ask questions and listen and it would be extensive. WRONG. My visit was 3 1/2 hours long and it …

  28. The most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had just happened with Dr. Epter at Augusta Pain Center. DO NOT EVER go to Augusta Pain Center. Also, turns out that he, Dr. Epter, owns the practice so there is no point to meet with the …

  29. My experience is mixed. The doctor was fine, the front office was horrible. If you want to be sent to collections by the office for $75 after paying them over $4k, this is the place for you!! Dr. Epter was great with me when I was actually …

  30. I’ve had a diagnosis and chronic pain for over a decade, and most of that time I was given pain meds and no options other than surgery. So when I went here, I expected the same, more meds maybe, or to be told surgery was the only option. But …

  31. Honestly have no idea where the negative reviews are coming from. Even in the buildup of the pandemic, I never waited much longer than my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Epter was robotic but meticulous and very thorough and answered my …

  32. Dr. Eptor was a very unprofessional careless individual who has no compassion for his patients feelings. I had to have the nerves burned in my back due to a work injury and I have really bad anxiety and panic attacks, at the time of this …

  33. I have been seeing Doctor Epter for a while. He and his staff have always been totally professional and caring. I went to him barely walking. I had serious difficulty getting in and out of cars and my bed. He help me to get around on my …

  34. I have suffered lower back and sciatic nerve pain in the past. I could no longer do the things I love to do. With Dr. Epter’s expertise and his incredible staff, I am now back to doing all the things I once thought were over for me. Dr. …

  35. I made 7 or 8 trips over 3 years time to Augusta Pain center for server lower back injury and pain. Initially the shots worked that Dr. Epter gave me but over time they had no affect. The biggest negatives were the long wait times between …

  36. I have recieved treatment from APC since 2008. There service, knowledge and available treatments have only gotten better over the years. They now offer state of the art procedures including surgical options such as minimaly invasive fusions …

  37. I went for a consultation on recommendation from a couple of my husband’s clients about 8 weeks ago. I have had back pain and left leg pain for almost 15 yrs. 2 appts for injections and I have not had this much relief since I injured my …
