You know that a hospital is completely heartless and lacks any empathy when they can not say the most basic words that we are taught as kids – I’m sorry. I am not asking anyone to accept fault or blame for the awful treatment I received, I …
Incredibly unhelpful, rude and unresponsive when trying to solve an incorrect billing issue. Even Blue Cross are pulling their hair out at their intransigence and arrogance.
The pacu and pre- op are.great.
M. M**ani. is a great nurse, and she takes pride in her job.
You can literally see how much she cares about her patiens.
Scheduling is difficult.
Excellent Hospital
Was born there
Wonderful staff 👏☝👍 …
Horrible . I will NEVER! come back here for anything.
Love Beth Isreal
The receptionist in the ER are so rude
I have always had great care and positive experiences
if you have to go there — it’s a good place to get diagnostics and repairs.
skillful doctors great communication straight forward and great options for payment.
Customer Service is horrendous! Went to the usual place – reluctant to do it! Went to the other center rude clerk!
They have the worst sleel lab….not informative to the patients needs and concerns……will never go back!
A nearly perfect high tech, small city hospital with immense kindness and truly personal care
Thanks for there great job. So friendly and respectful.
Overall very good experience at this hospital over many years!
The worst experience I ever had! August, 2019…besides the Faulkner hospital in 2012
Horrible experience never had such bad experience. Don’t go there even if you feel like you will dieZ they don’t care anyway
there are awesome. Nurses and doctors. I recommend people to go there.
spend an hour on hold to make an appointment only to be told to call a different number and then call back.
Bed service all staff no like work I pay my Tex all doctors sleeping
very professional, and unlike many ER’s in the area, The staff at the ER are knowledgeable and actually know what they’re doing.
Really great experience! Even though it was a bad day. 22 stitches but I was in and out within 3 hours
Great hospital with great ER staff! I live closer to another hospital but if I am able to, I will drive the extra 15 minutes to BI.
Awful service, awful staff, all they do is bill the people left and right. We called multiple times for follow up appointment, it always goes to voicemail and nobody calls back!
The ER is an ABSOLUTE nightmare. They are understaffed and do not take patient care into consideration. Avoid at all cost
Don’t allow Dr. Marcie Rubin to treat you in the ER. She doesn’t listen and prescribes medications that can result in deadly interactions. I’m only alive because I read the prescription pamphlet.
If administration fell off the planet today, Tomorrow will be a better planet…
No one doing triage with patients waiting for at least half an hour. One elderly man with blood on his shirt, pants, and on a towel. Stomach getting bigger as he sits patiently.
I have to go here because Shapiro building departments are all
Booked up,
I live in Readville so it’s a little awkward to get to but I like it …
Everyone was nice enough however what should of been an easy check ended up taking hours. No information from the nurses on staff. Left waiting for hours.
Terrible experience ever. I went for a terrible back pain and was treated like I was looking to obtain pain medication. After 4 hours I left the ER with the same back pain. Friendly staff but they showed no interest in find the source of my symptom.
Great Hospital especially during the Pandemic for things like Sleep Studies etc where you can be in a seperate location and not have to worry about everyone being in the same place plus the nurses, doctors and staff are amazing! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 …
I seem to visit the ER more often than I’d like, each and every time the staff has always been tremendous. Regardless of the time of day, the day of the week or the time of year they are always extremely friendly and courteous.
If you have to be at a hospital, whether for diagnostics, general maintenance or something major, this is a darned good place to be. The facility is slick and pleasant, everything is utterly up-to-the-minute technologically and, aside from …
The ER is one of the best in the area even though they can be a bit on the slow side.
I’ve been to this hospital twice. Once for my self with massive headaches for about a month. All they did was dope me up with morphine nd an eye test a week later I went to children’s hospital and said it was extremley high levels of …
If i could give zero stars, I would. My main complain is with the care I received at the hospital, and I strongly believe it’s all due to the poor leadership of the inpatient services supervisor Mr. Santos. …
Don’t listen to the whiners. I go here when necessary for tests, etc.and have always had a positive experience. Today, I went for a procedure and the entire staff could not have been more positive as usual. The medical world in general probably has the worst customer service bar none, but this hospital is an exception.
It is very difficult to reach registration department. No one answers my call. I called so many times. I even went to Needham location to give them my updated insurance, but people there refuse to take it. They ask me to go home and call.
This place is a mess. There is NO EXCUSE for the degree of ineptitude i encountered. — the radiology department and registration reminded me of the Three Stooges episode wherein either Curly or Larry stepped on a rake and it hit him in the …
No Dr available only PA who was going from room to room . Went for a wound in my leg . They checked for clot and found none. Did not remove the dressing on my leg , put me on Antibiotics and told me to make appointment with wound clinic, …
Took them 24 hours to diagnose that my wife doesn’t have appendicitis… took another 3.5 hours to process discharge paperwork to get us out the door. Friendly staff but they showed a complete lack of a sense of urgency.
For me, BIL Needham and Boston has no equal. The best Dr.s.
10 hours to check up and all thecstuff was talking together and said oho we very bisu
I went in for a basic physical. They had blood work taken right in their office. I didn’t request it. Eight months later I received a bill for $273.90 of lab work. I actually get more up front billing from my Honda dealer, who always tells …
This hospital is extreme disorganized when it comes to communication and it seems to be across all departments. When trying to get an appointment, I was on hold for over 50 mins one day and 45 mins the second before giving up and leaving a …
I have had two sleep studies one regular in patient, one extended study in patient separated by 3 months and after 2 failed at home studies. I suggest bringing your own stuff to make you comfortable and feel like you’re at home as much as …
The worst experience of my life. Never saw a doctor in the ER, medical assistant chomping gum like she was at a bar and had the worst attitude imaginable. This place use to be a great hospital but has gone down hill over the past couple of years.
The worst emergency room experience I’ve ever had. Hours of waiting, no information provided, people wandering aimlessly. No apparent system in place to triage and address patients
My husband is being treated at the cancer center. His doctor and nurse are great, but the people at the desk in the cancer center and especially the lab are impolite and clueless. Every time we go for an appointment there is some kind of …
Since last 15 years I’ve been in this hospital’s ER room 9 times, was hospitalized twice and had 1 outpatient and 2 inpatient surgeries. Probably I was very lucky, but there was only once when I saw another patient in ER. The personnel in …
Inefficiency at its finest. They’ll order all the tests in the book and leave you sitting in pain without addressing the primary complaint. Was also amazed to see this beautiful brand new facility doesn’t have adequate supply storage, and …
Amazing facility with an overall friendly, knowledgeable and talented staff. The Hospital also provides a great valet service strictly for the ease of the patient and their families. As of 2019, BID Hospital seems to be expanding in size …
Frankly, I’m at a loss to explain bad reviews of the people who work at the hospital. I have gone to the Cardiac Care Center for years, and they have been nothing but wonderful, friendly, concerned about my health and wellbeing. One …
Horrible experience. Probably the worst emergency room experience that I’ve had. I followed the ambulance that brought one of my parents.
Certain members of the staff were semi pleasant and made a minor effort while …
The first time I came here my appointment was 9.00 am but I got to see the doctor at 10.15 am. The second time I came here my appointment was 11.15 am. I got to see the doctor at 12.30 pm. I don’t know how they aches the appointment for the …
Visited the Cancer Unit at BID Needham this morning for my Prolia Injection and found Nurse Kerry and all the nurses there to be extremely anxious to see I was comfortable while waiting and pleasant as well as courteous. Means so much …
All the drs are kind and there’s always someone right at entrance lobby ready to help answer any questions u have weather its what floor to go to for appointment or just getting checked in right away for an appointment. They are very …
I have been going to Beth Israel in Boston for years receiving quality care. I am a Needham resident now and had an ER visit on 8/7/21, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham for blood and test samples that were taken and …
The ICU Supervisor of nurses obviously has no clue about family, The need for family to be with there loved ones. If the suits that the nurses wear are safe for them to go near the patients, Then they should be good enough for visitors to …
I totally understand why this hospital got so bad reviews. They are unfriendly and so slow. They have the patients wait for over 6 hours. I got they were busy but at least, they shouldn’t’ve left so sick person with putting the blood pressure thing on them for an hour. They shouldn’t’ve treated the patients like this.
The staff needs to be trained on how to deal with patients and their families that are in crisis. The defensive attitude and taking someone’s symptoms personally are unhelpful. I hope this place is able to get the training they need from qualified mental health professionals. Someone’s well being may be at stake.
The ER department was great to my wife, the triage nurse Savina P was very caring and reassuring, also Madison the nurse and Michelle the unit coordinator went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Definitely 5 stars
The nurse and providers are nice and I understand that they have a lot of patients and things going on. With that said they seem VERY slow to give information, they take forever in the emergency room. Be prepared to wait hours or days for any kind of answer.
I went in thoroughly expecting a long and crummy ER visit and while I did have to be there for about 4 hours I had nurses checking on me the whole time. Every staff member I interacted with was so kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. I walked out feeling so much better!
I went for minor surgery and everyone was amazing. I had a bad experience somewhere else so I decided to get a second opinion and couldn’t be happier. I truly felt cared for and everyone was so great during my experience. I’d highly recommend.
Just had surgery on my colon 4 days ago. I cannot say enough how comforting the anesthesia team was. I was treated with care and compassion an anxious person deserves. From there I was brought to the Derenzo unit, where I had the best …
Horrible treatment here! They left me in a Johnny for weeks at a time, the thing chokes you and comes unsnapped every time you move. I am glad I don’t have dentures yet because the food would be impossible to eat. Most the staff were very …
I never write reviews. Never. One persons pain is def not the same as someone else.People make trips to the ER for different reasons, hard to get a clear review of the operation. I broke three ribs on Saturday, July 2, and by July 4 I …
Recently spent just under two weeks here for a variety of ailments. I was (and still am to a lesser degree) in some serious pain and certainly was not the best patient, the Dr’s nurses and general staff were very patient and understanding, …
Very poor quality care. My father was admitted on the second floor and I was only able to speak to his actual nurse in person regarding his care once. All other times the nurses that were assigned to him could not be bothered enough to …
I went to the lab in Needham for a routine blood test. While the tech was fine and professional, I was dismayed to see many people in the halls without masks. This includes the receptionist at the lab! Seriously?
Dr carasquillo, Kayleigh, Michelle and everyone else involved with my visit today were very professional, helpful and definitely go that extra mile to make sure that their patients are comfortable. I highly recommend DR Carasquillo if you’re looking for a urologist he will stop at nothing to try and get results.
I’m not one for reviews but lately customer service has gone down the drains! I recently had to have my appendix out (an emergency) went to the hospital wasn’t even there 12 hours from start to finish. Started receiving my bills (have Bcbs) …
I have to say the nurses/techs/doctors in the emergency room are exceptionally caring and attentive. For how busy they are I don’t think I could have asked for more.
Wonderful care. The receptionist was kind and attentive, the medical team was skilled and efficient and the nurses were unbelievably responsive. Thank you
Listening to staff badmouth coworkers while waiting, billing insurance I haven’t had for 5 years after I’ve repeatedly called about it, calling me about an account balance that isn’t due for weeks. Other BIDMC facilities have been great – won’t be going back to this one!
Had a procedure that took 20mins and had to pay thousands of dollars. They were NOT upfront about the payments and at the end of the procedure, they basically handed me a piece of paper and sent me out the door with no explanation. They …
BEWARE!! There is a small island at the entrance of the parking lot that is not visible in the dark or rain! We, and according to AAA, many people crashed into this island on the way in and ruined our tire. They know it’s a problem, but …
BI Needham has the worst parking space option available. They built a new building without proper parking spaces to accommodate the number of patients visiting the medical offices. They expect you to be on time for your appointment, but how …
Phones don’t work. Took 6 hours to find out the time of surgery. Worse, couldn’t reach Urology, phones out. Then, put in shared room with 96yo woman dying imminent and 4 adults to sit up all night. The worst hospital in my experience.
Went to see a specialist here, I liked her she seemed thorough and competent. The problem for me with this facility is with their administration. They proceeded to improperly bill my insurance and even try to double bill for services and …
So mismanaged- I’m not in health care but I feel like I could run the ER better than anyone there. We have had many bad experiences there. My son was most recently there with a broken wrist, they never even offered him an ice pack- and …
I went to this emergency room for psychiatric help. At times, the care felt substandard. I’m pretty sure the RN didn’t disinfect my arm prior to drawing a blood sample. They did a sloppy job catering to my food allergies/intolerances. A …
Beth Israel Emergency Room. The wait is long because Covid -19 recently reared it’s unholy head. The last three weeks the virus has spread like wildfire. The ER is tapped. Two doctors are out and three nurses since the beginning of this week. What’s the ER to do? Let’s pray that things get better.
