This place is a joke.. i’ve tried to pay automatically via the text feature and the automated system several times.. never works. then i talk to a customer service person and i get lectured to use the text system.. but it NEVER works! just now i’ve called twice and got disconnected twice.. :p
The employee who came and changed our security light was a very professional and considerate employee. He went above and beyond

This company is way too EXPENSIVE. Won’t work with you when your on the phone and honestly it’s system of payment is ridiculous as well. I will never move to another area were this company is the only option. I regret it fully.

My grandmother received a $700 electric bill for her trailer from this company.. just what an elderly woman with cancer needs! It should be illegal what this company is doing. Stay far away if you have a choice!
The employees have always been very nice and service is wonderful! When electric is out, they keep you updated. They work with you on payment options too.
Had Bluegrass Energy for 3 years I believe since moving into apartments that required it. No problem paying bill because its fast and easy online. We done the levelized billing because they are a little higher than KU and it’ll equal out in the winter months. Plus, electric never ever goes out unlike some companies.

I’ve been a customer for 22 years and I definitely prefer BGE to larger companies. Customer service is outstanding & the cost is in line with KU’s. (I owned rental property, so I was able to compare.) I’ve had no trouble making payments. Best of all, during ice storms, outages are significantly shorter than with larger companies.
This company really just cut my service off because I had an 85cent yes cent balance!!! I pay my bills every month and I’m just sick to death that they are that petty!!! I feel even sorrier for those who can’t afford it or are a little late. The owner of this company needs to search for his soul if they still have one😩 …
I keep my heat on setting, my bill has doubled this month! I was told it is bc the rates have increased which is bs! I expected somewhat of an increase bc of the inclement weather, but these people are crooks! However I have no choice but to let them f&$k me over bc there are the only one who services my area!
I pay in advance and was receiving text alerts. For some reason they stopped on 1/4/2022. I have called the office 8 times since then. Today 1/17/22, I finally talked with a lady named Shirley, she truly went out of her way to help me out. Shout out to Shirley. I’ll just keep my mouth closed about the rest of the staff.
