What a mess! 2 hours waiting for our bags. I used to praise this airport at how well it was handled. Now, I will NEVER say that again. You all better straighten up what you have going on! If I could give less of a rate I would. You don’t even deserve a star at all!
Much better than the last time I was here. Reminds me somewhat of CLT. Would be so much better charging stations were in Terminal B, I didn’t see a single one. Lots of good food and nice shops.
Please arrive 3hours earlier to ensure you catch your flight in time! Most of the service folks are really rude and yell at you alot along with giving out wrong information causing one to lose valuable time however the process despite all …
Overall, a nice airport. Lots of amenities and well staffed. For Southwest, the check process worked well with a large pint of agents available to assist. TSA pre-check went smoothly and so did the regular security screening with a longer wait. Good amount of stores and restaurants in Terminal B.
Airport gets extremely busy. You never know when they have the dogs out, which can delay you getting through the gate in a timely manner, so I would suggest getting to the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Never understood why some of …
Always a great experience at BWI. All the food courts are open, both domestic and international flights are on schedule and airlines need the traffic so look for lower prices and plan a trip.
I’ll try to review the airport and amenities itself as opposed to items controlled by the airlines. The space provided in the ticketing areas are consistently not sufficient to handle the volume of travelers. Security is typically quick, …
Nice airport not much hustling and bustling maybe because if airline. I am on Sun Country I normally fly Southwest. However my experience is great today.
Decent airport with ok shops. Needs an update to the new style airport with basically a mall built into it. Those are amazing. Lots of gates, good parking nearby and really no complaints at all.
This was the 1st time that I have not enjoyed or been excited about travel. The shuttles at airport parking were almost non-existent. Once you parked there was no shuttle to the airport & the ones that showed up were overcrowded.Once at the …
One of the top 3 airports in the US IMO, easy to get around and has good restaurants and bars for your downtime when connecting or simply waiting. The one and only downside is that the TSA here is staffed with some of the worst in the …
Love this airport! Well laid out. It has plenty of dining options that are not completely outrageous. They have signs saying “mall pricing not airport pricing”. Its still more expensive though (Mcd large coke $2.43 with tax, while everywhere else its $1 plus tax.) TSA moves fairly quickly here
I often have layovers here and always enjoy it. Especially walking around c terminal (which is currently VERY quiet… And has hilarious signage). Good food options that are spread out. Solid variety of seating. Plenty of outlets. Major Southwest hub. 👍👍 …
I just adore airports this one being no exception at all. If this airport was a bowl of cereal I’d drink it all day. And the staff is superb. Getting through security was one of the nicest experiences of my life. But in all seriousness, you …
The bathroom facilities are quite dirty, some flooding, and the TSA personnel are rather surly. Not enough decent places to eat. And Delta always gets the absolute last gate.
Mid size airport easy to get around. I’ve only flow delta so I only know D terminal. It take about 45 minutes to get from rental car return, checked in, through security, and two the gate. It has a couple art installations. I enjoy it.
I love the large selection of food places they had at Baltimore’s airport! So much to choose from. May not seem important to some but when you travel from one side of the country to another it’s something you look for. …
This was the first time I had been here. I had to wait for quite a while to get a wheelchair each time for escort through the airport. One time I had to walk to the plane and carry my bag on. When I bought the tickets I requested a chair for the round trip. Other than that it’s a pretty good experience! The workers were friendly.
Other than the long wait to get from Southwest gate with a wheelchair to customs it was all good. I give the wheel chair attendance a 5star because it was just two of them working. Eric and the supervisor did their best. Nice big clean airport.
The Airport was ok….but being a first time flyer…..the Pilot landed that plane as if he does it in his sleep. Thank you for a GrEat first time experience.
Always a quick in and out compared to other airports. The drive is smooth with less traffic by rental car. Allow an hour for the rental car return with the shuttle. I’ve made many day trips in and out for in person meetings in DC. While …
The airport is great until you go through security. The employees screening your bags are so rude and each time I travel the rules change but they expect you to read their minds. Next time I will put it on video and send to the news station to broadcast so maybe they will hire some nicer people that actually like people.
Worst costumer service ever. Will avoid BWI at all cost in the future. Will book layovers verse direct flights… anything not to travel from this location. Bad experience flying out and flying in.
Clean, professional, efficient airport depending on the airline you are flying of course. Southwest has been good to me thus far, United is okay, Spirit not so much but you know… to each his own
So,so clean. I’ve been in many airports but BWI is very clean. Employees are extremely nice. Parking is a breeze and Ticket Counter Assistants are very helpful.
Barley any outlets. The men’s bathrooms have body fluids all over the floor, absolutely disgusting. They do have good selection of restaurants and food. The staff are very helpful and nice.
The check in process was a little slow because there were so many people there. The agents were pretty quick and friendly though. Getting through security was quicker than I’d expected. One of the security officials told everyone to just …
Returning back to H-Town. Great weekend, a bit of the white stuff. Very productive weekend trip.
Loved the airport, TSA was on point and got us right through.
Very convenient for Southwest…especially commuting via PVD. Good amount of food options once past security in B terminal. Self serve kiosks in SWA speeds up bag drops. Always have TSA Pre Check available. Lots of glass windows for good views of the planes. Pretty big though so schedule some time to maneuver.
This airport is very convenient to the local DC area and is a great place to go in and out of. Weekly parking is a little bit off site but every time that I’m flying I have no problem catching the bus. People don’t know is there is a hidden …
Very welcoming, pleasant experience flying into or through BWI. The Southwest Airlines terminal and employees are especially friendly and professional.
This is one of the nicest airports in my opinion. Everything is labeled so well and makes it so easy to maneuver in a timely manner. There is lots of coffee options, restaurant options, gift shop options and much more once inside. Security …
Waited for 40 min for wheelchair assistance to the gate, which never arrived. To add insult to injury, I checked in at Terminal C, had to walk clear to B amd then back to C to get to my gate, because they closed the security line at C just as I got there!!! Furious!!
Pretty nice international airport conveniently located near Baltimore. Traffic can build up pretty easily on 295 and 195 and create a longer trip to the airport than estimated so leave early if traveling during rush hour or holidays. Southwest’s hub so that’s a big plus in my book 👍🏼 …
Nice staff, but the lines at the TSA for concourses D and E are a little ridiculous for an airport that serves mainly domestic routes. Delta also feels a little understaffed. There are a lot of food and duty free options in Concourse D, which is pretty convenient.
Only airport out of 29 that I have been to, that no matter the airline, the day or time, bags take FOREVER and if you ask anything to any employee they have an attitude!!!! I have waited over 40mins for bags to start coming out, RIDICULOUS this airport!!
Not a bad airport. Made it here at 5:30 traffic coming into the airport was not bad. Weather was. Going through the TSA checkpoint was quick and effortless. Bathrooms were clean and it has many food shops. Concourses are also conveniently located close by.
The worst bathrooms imaginable are in concourse D & E. The rest of the airport is very clean and we were catching the red eye so it was empty no people to interact with to give feedback on the staff. Overall quite.
Great airport: open architecture with lots of sun and natural light! Very clean environment, polite and friendly staffs, great access to spot your gate, comfortable seating area with charger! Cute cozy little restaurant on every corner! What else do we want from an airport?!
ALMOST ALL CHARGING PORTS ARE LOOSE. Food places are under staffed and close earlier than indicated on the BWI map. Baggage lost here on 3 different occasions.
Shout out to BWI and TSA!!!! Getting thru TSA was a breeze this holiday weekend!!! 5!minutes flat which is a record for me!!!! Great planning was executed
Good service with Spirit Airline counter rep. While walking thru airport I noticed a “Pod” available for breast feeding moms. Very spacious inside with outlet to charge phones or devices. In ladies (very clean) restroom were fresh …
Nice airport with plenty of food options. Some bathrooms could use better service and can be crowded in busy areas. Some bathrooms are brand new and beautiful. …
Southwest blamed a two hour delay while already boarded on the plane on the airport not being equipped to transfer luggage adequately. I’ve never had this experience with Southwest, but is my first and last time flying into this airport.
Flying out of BWI today! It’s usually good experiences but Thomas out of Southwest caused an issue where my significant other couldn’t get a pre boarding pass based on his assumption that my girlfriend didn’t need one. We get one every time …
I like flying out of BWI. It is a great airport and everyone seems friendly. There are many restaurants and store to keep you busy while you wait. I also love they have a CLEAR lane.
Air travel is nothing lol ike it used to be. Got to long term parking B at 6am and it was closed… Went across to long term B and it was packed and drove around for 10-15 minutes looking for a spot when we noticed cars and busses going …
I would give this 0 stars if I could. It took over an hour to get my luggage back for a 2 hour flight. Every other airport that I’ve went to, the luggage was ready to be picked up by the time you walked off the plane and to the baggage claim area.
Not helpful at all to anyone with disabilities. Very rude. My stepfather is 99% blind & would not listen to us telling them REPEATEDLY he cannot see. Almost got him hurt going through security not allowing him or offering him ANY assistance.
If you’re ever there, you MUST go to the observatory lounge right above the Thurgood Marshall exhibit— it’s beautiful, peaceful, and a very nice place to wait for your flight ♡ 10/10
The airport is okay by itself but the security/TSA there is trash. How you going to have a problem with a pregnant woman and her 1 year old son bringing 16 ounces of water on a 8hr flight. They’re disgusting and careless about the everyday people that goes through this airport
Southwest canceled our flight after we checked. Waited 2 days without bags. When we got to BWI, they put one if of 4 bags on another flight and we had to wait 6 hours to get that bag.
Wow. Waited 45 minutes in LOT A to have four buses trailing one another arrive on the pickup to the terminal. Took an hour from Lot A! Hope every day isn’t this bad.
most disorganized security i have ever seen. clear general boarding and tsa pre check all overlapping people yelling contradictory instructions. line merge unmerge and merge again. just terribly disorganized
If they make at least first half hour parking free, at the hourly garage, that would make a lot less traffic and rush at the drop off and pick up area. But looks like they enjoy people suffering and issuing traffic tickets over there. …
Every time I come through here the bathrooms are disgusting! I realize some of the passengers that come through are also disgusting to leave the restroom the way they do, but its terrible! Literally the dirtiest of any airport I have seen! This is in the Southwest terminal!
My knuckles was cut by the door piece to close within the stalls near A-9 and no one besides the workers at Potbellys restaurant could help me get coverage on the bleeding wound. Not even security. I had my finger wrapped in toilet paper …
HORRIBLE service from TSA at this airport. Agent took every single item out of my carefully packed bag without telling me what he was looking for (I could have told him exactly where it was). Then he dropped my toothbrush on the ground and it fell out of its case. He didn’t even apologize. Fuming
Nice the renovations are coming along. The ppl were friendly enough. Just passing through. The American airlines gate agents at C-5, BWI to CLT at or around 3:20 rocked! Very sweet ladys!!!!!! They represented American airlines and BWI well!!!!
Best airport in DC area. Easiest walk from front door to gate. Best Lost and Found service in the industry! Lingina helped us out big time, her customer service and professionalism is world class!
Awful. Missed my flight. Ok got off 1st plane, didn’t hear the gate change announced overhead because I was in the bathroom. No text to my phone at all from Southwest. Had to rebook and take later flight ✈️. More a Southwest Airlines issue …
First time flying out of BWI…will choose this airport over Reagan in the future. Utilized The Parking Spot app for great long term parking rates. Highly recommend them as well.
I had return flight to Baltimore. It arrived at 12:15 am. Been waiting at baggage claim , it’s is now 1:30am. Partial bags were released but it’s over 40 people with no bags . We’ve been told the workers just walked out mid way thru the …
Clean and organized. Note: it’s always busy, so leave early and give yourself time. At least 40 minutes to get bags checked, and another 25 through regular security.
I visited yesterday and last week and had no trouble getting in and out of there to drop off and pick up my family. I was very pleased and amazed that they were organized getting traffic in and out!
Southwest messed up and left our stroller in another state. Offered a loner, but wanted us to drive an hour to return it. Not willing to get our stroller to us. It was a struggle trying to get four children, youngest 14 months old and …
This airport is very convenient. Easy to get to, fast security lines, clean facilities. Better than Dulles in terms of getting there, and faster security lines than DCA
I’m in utter shock. I’m a breastfeeding mama who needs to pumps for my trip without my little one. First I was told there was a mothers room at B3. I walk to that gate. Nothing was there. So I was directed to C8. I walk there and nothing is …
Nice airport have been here a few times usually to connect but this time to actually visit the area. Easy to get to parking and rental cars via shuttle. Not such a huge airport that it’s hard to find your gate.
Frontier Airlines is the worst airline to fly. They do a bait & switch with bags. Very strict on size limits so they can basically charge for another ticket at the gate. …
Nice airport facilities, nice restaurants and shopping, very easy to get around… Why is just about every electrical outlet almost unable to hold a charger plug? They’re all overused and needs replaced.
If you allow flights to land later in the day, please staff to provide quicker services. Waiting for an hour after landing for bags to arrive at baggage claim is ridiculous.
Only spent a little time here, but an impressive regional American airport. Love the rocking chairs in some of the waiting areas. The pet relief area was clean and large and welcoming.
Easy relax airport.. quite far away from city center but acessible by train or bus.. If you fly early morning .. you do not need to be at the airport early like 2 hours there is no staff
It was raining when we arrived. Our luggage was only transfered to another plane. Every piece was wet and the clothes inside. They didn’t have enough wheel chairs for the elderly people. And family restrooms were not clean.
I flew into BWI airport tonight at 12:15am from Phoenix and had to wait an unacceptable amount of time for our luggage. 4hrs on the plane and now going on 2hrs to get my luggage. I fly regularly and never had this problem. Baltimore, get act together.
very very nice airport very professional a rental bus came pretty quickly and there was an information desk at the exit that we could ask questions to first time in Baltimore I think I might have been there years ago though
9/22/22 @ 5AM – The WORST TSA employees in any airport. Not all, but more than 50% of the BWI TSA staff are rude, disrespectful and treat everyone like they are stupid. Never in any public place have i seen employees so abrasive. Worse than …
Whelp. it’s an airport so it meets its basic functions. as far as airports goes it works. But does anyone really enjoy the airport? over priced food options on the concourse. 8 dollar a day parking for the cheap stuff and a frustrating bus ride. I’ll visit again but only because I have too. yep just returned. still an airport.
Any time after 5pm, your baggage claim is more like “baggage pain”. Nice wine in the southwest terminal though.
D gate sucks. It ALSO needs a chik fila. …
Airport is good but what really hurts the quality of this airport is the baggage service. I travel routinely and BWI has the slowest baggage service. I have traveled out of here for years and I have had to wait over an hour to get my luggage after landing. It’s ridiculous. All other major airports have it down except BWI
BWI is one of the busier airports we travel through. We usually get through with minimal consternation. Today, we didn’t arrive 2 hours ahead of the expected departure time. We arrived at the terminal about 45 minutes before the plane …
Because the airline only employs 4 people for check-in and the airport only employs 4 for bag loading we incurred a 4 hour delay which led to a flight cancelation for pilot availability (poor aircrew planning). Passengers sat on the …
My mother is disabled and needs a wheelchair. The staff was at our vehicle immediately and stayed by my mother’s side the whole time. Very easy and simple to check in as well. Beautiful for the holiday’s 🎄🤶🎅☃️ …
The lines move quick enough when we went through security. The gate information screens were not working and showing what flight was leaving, causing several travelers to sit and wait at the wrong gate. The bathrooms could have used a deeper cleaning.
The conveyer belt at the baggage claim broke and we had to wait about 45 minutes longer for them to send up any luggage. Also, both mens and womens bathrooms were horrendous! Our flight was to Tampa airport which was MUCH NICER AND CLEANER! …
I live in Germantown MD, I picked up a friend on a Friday night, it took me 3 hrs, but was waiting for my friend for almost 35 minutes, so I made EXCELLENT TIME! It is pretty far away.. I just prefer Reagan airport cause it’s closer..
It is a decent size airport pretty easy to navigate but most of the food places close at nine so if you come in after nine it’s hard to find something to eat
I passed through on a connection flight. The whole place was a mess. No signs directing where to be. Therefore the security guards were all on edge, because people didn’t know where to be. Every staff member my significant other and I came …
Early am flight. Place was clean. Bathroom not as much for it being 6 am. TSA line NOT BAD about 20 minutes wait. Spirit line was pure chaos. Bus from daily parking came within 10 minutes.
This is the first time I’ve been at this airport. I had to make a connection to go to Boston and, unfortunately, I didn’t have the best impression. The bathrooms are horribly dirty, the common areas are also dirty. …
Nice airport. Like the name of it. Don’t remember a whole lot from my 2016 trip(s) here. A lot of interesting restaurants and stores that I do remember. TSA is alright and the customer service agents were really nice. Would love to return soon someday, if I ever get the chance…
The experience was horrible. There were delays re: luggage and its whereabouts. We waited over an hour for luggage. The Airport shuttle arrived 45 minutes late at the car rental site. We requested an Uber. The lines were extremely long. You …
Liked this airport. It is so easy to pick up your family when they come and visit. The parking is very accessible. You can park and walk to drop or pick someone up and it is quick and also free for 30 minuts.
Arrivals area was pretty chaotic. Cars triple parked leaving only 1 thru lane. Lot of folks dont appear to care that they are blocking others from pulling: in to pick up passengers; and, away after loading. They know they are gumming up the works but pretend not to notice, heads down looking a their phones. No sense of shame I guess.
Air travel is always challenging and a bit of a roll of the dice these days. Nonetheless, departure from BWI is about as painless as it gets. Curbside checkin for Southwest Airlines was smooth and quick. The TSA Pre line was short and …
Not bad other than the even worse than typical TSA. Every agent we encountered was rude, lazy, or both.
After my backpack got pulled for inspection I watched the bag inspector wander …
Easy to get around. Could use more signage where to go for rental cars.
If you get lost head outside and walk until you see a stop for rental car facility. Otherwise an efficient airport!
We arrived from Boston at 0730. Haven’t seen the airport this busy since pre-pandemic! Good to see people getting back to normal travel, but it sure was easier to move around when it wasn’t so busy 😂 …
BWI is a great airport. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. People are friendly, staff is wonderful. I’m not actually sure who is reading a review on an airport, but if you’re reading mine.. I have been to many many in the United States, and BWI hands down is one of the best!!!
I don’t want to review this airport because I don’t want it to get busier. I travel for work, multiple flights a month. Top status on two airlines. I have lived in SF, Seattle, Denver, Vegas, and Boston. I know the airports well, better …
Midsized airport, a little confusing with the lines at first you were not sure which side you should be on in order to check in. Delta Staff were amenable and friendly. Some staff did not understand English and directions or questions were lost in translation. Otherwise it was a good experience.
Today was my First time forgetting my ID and realizing it while in the TSA line . The lady who assisted me was very nice she asked me to step out of line to be assisted. Another TSA staff assisted me through the verification process. …
Beautiful Airport, my first time traveling through it. I Didn’t get to explore, but saw sone great options to eat. I didn’t get to eat due to flight delays, and I had to rush to my connecting flight. The restrooms were clean also.
I love this airport. This was my first time using it. When I landed, I had no idea where the baggage claim was. I asked a gentleman, and he was very helpful, giving me directions as to where I wanted to go. I use a scooter, and I’m used to …
The airport is nice. Parking is confusing. Wrote where we were parked and still couldn’t find the car. Someone at same location as us two spots down couldnt find their spot either. Its no fun wandering for 20 min. while dragging a bag …
Clean bathrooms & at least some bottle filling stations are a plus. The food options are not my cup of tea (raw bar, sit down diners are not what I want at an airport), but there are some bright spaces & it’s not bad to connect through.
Handicap people face a real struggle. Wheelchair service is poor. Can take up to an hour. I understand it’s hard to get employees. Maybe let us drive a motorized wheelchair. I won’t get to an airport 3 hours early just to get a wheelchair. Or wait an hour after the plane arrives.
Southwest terminal C can be a real pain. If you’re taking off from the far end of the terminal, such as gates 13 or 14, then you’ll need to plan your use of the restroom as it’s not all that conveniently located and always crowded. Another …
We had delayed/lost luggage for 2 weeks and BWI was helpful all the way. We finally received the luggage and I just want to thank everyone who helped us. Latisha and everyone, thank you for your hard work and I’m sorry we were so persistent …
It has been a while since I flew through BWI. it was a very small airport then with very few services. I am impressed by the expansion of shopping and food service areas. Good stop on a long trip!
I was only there for a layover, but this was a beautiful facility. The bathrooms are large, clean, and well-appointed. The ubiquitous windows are lined with rocking chairs for people to relax in. Every staff member with whom I interacted …
Great Airport. Friendly staff, everything was easy to find..helpful staff. Wide parking spaces at the long term parking. The baggage claim area was socially distanced. Enjoyed my flight and my trip in and out of this airport
It takes me 50 minutes to BWI and 20 minutes to Dulles but I still pick BWI because it is so much better than Dulles. Getting in and out of BWI is a breeze. Dulles is an absolute nightmare. It’s much cleaner than Dulles as well.
Easy to get around in. TSA Precheck makes security easy. There could be a better selection of fast food but what is here is adequate. The airport was not too busy for travelling on Friday evening. Nice airport!
One terminal, one road into the terminal. Easy drop off and pickup. Southwest is the first airline, sometimes there is some congestion at the beginning of the terminal, be patient, it will shake out. If you rent or return a car, the facility is offsite, allow an extra 15-20 min for drop and transport from rental cars to terminal.
Huge Kudos to all staff at BWI. The staff takes extra caution to make sure customers are safe. Smooth process. Big shout out to United Airlines crew for a safe and comfortable flight.
I had the BEST experience with an employee named Jose at the check in counter. So much so, that I’m still thinking about our encounter almost two weeks after my trip! He was so kind, friendly, courteous and patient! I encountered a small …
The four staff members my children and I encountered leaving out of southwest airline and one female named Sabrina whom were directing people for the check in line were thoroughly extremely rude not just to my children and I but to others …
If I could give this place no stars I would. This is one of the disgusting places I’ve ever stayed. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. The service is HORRIBLE. We had to constantly call downstairs for towels and the staff promised to bring the …
Security staff is completely rude and treats humans as if they are cattle. I wonder if they treat thier own mothers and fathers in the same manner as they do those that have to travel through this airport. If so I think the team …
Not the best or the worst. Some areas definitely seem newer and have better restaurants and nicer bathrooms. Although not a lot of food options, there is definitely enough to satisfy most people. All around a decent airport if you find yourself traveling through.
Had a few hours to kill between flights. Easily found places to sit with plugs or USB charging areas. Easy access for coffee and snacks. Overall satisfactory!
Dunno if I’d ever get excited over an airport terminal but the section I was in did not have phone charging stations. Electric outlets were very sparse and hard to find. The 2 I did find find not work. An otherwise serviceable airport – the 3 stars are merely a reflection of my sour mood because I needed the juice
It’s a decent airport. Definitely not the worst, but not the best either. It’s somewhere in the middle. Easy navigation if that helps. Good assortment of restaurants. TSA is ok here, not too bad like the Philadelphia airport. Overall, very worth using for your travels.
I’ve had mostly good experiences here, except for a few recent experiences that have me scratching my head. On the past two occasions I have flown out and parked at Long Term Lot A, the bus for that lot has been almost non-existent upon my …
Arrived in the Southwest terminal on 8-16-22 and had a 4 hour layover. The Womens restroom in this area (B gates) was one of the dirtiest restrooms I Have ever been in! I do not think it had been attended to at all. When we went into the …
No more seat assignments. Weird! You want front row you have to pay for it. Cabin air press wasn’t great. My ears kept popping. Never had that problem before. Heading to Tampa on Southwest airlines again. We’ll see if it was just me.
Nice airport!! Very clean and got through quickly. Bigger than I thought but lots of powered walkways to speed it up. Security when I came was incredibly short, and it took no more than five minutes from the time I arrived to the time I was …
It’s my home airport so it’s really nothing spectacular to it that I’ve not already experienced. They’re redoing the restrooms which is a plus. The food that’s there is good. Yet tsa…they get you in and out! My fave part is being able to …
I come from a smaller city so I was nervous about living in a bigger city with a bigger airport, but can safely say I love this airport! I don’t have to worry about getting here 3 hours early, in my experience I’ve never waited more than 45 …
Whole airport is super clean and actually looks pretty nice, but there’s practically nothing to do in it — it’s a very empty building. Few restaurants, average food. Most interesting thing I saw was a high-end vending machine lol
This is what I consider to be my “home airport” and I’ve been traveling through here for many, many years. In my experience, service has only gotten better over time. Security is usually faily fast and the food options are as good if not …
This airport was not friendly at all you almost made me miss my flight back to Kansas on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 8:30 PM we are flying Southwest and your signs are ridiculous in the airport I walked into a wall at your airport and the …
The amount of care taken by the staff or TSA in this airport is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. Pretty interesting to see though. Legitimately I sensed more attitude from total strangers in one place than I ever have in my personal life. Wild.
I like BWI. Small airport that is easy to navigate. Everything is close. There are 3 concourses but they all enter through one main area. Lots of places to eat and shop or just wander around if you are early for your flight or have a long layover. So much better than a big airport for me!
I was there on a Friday evening at 8 to catch a flight out. The lines were short at the ticket counters and going through security. It’s a great time to go if you want to avoid the crowds, but remember that the food vendors are closed.
My first time here and when I landed you could tell the airport was well used. Definitely could use updating. When we asked for help on navigating the MARC system to DC, the attendant was very straight forward with her thoughts on flying into BWI vs DC itself.
I have flown in and out of this airport many times. It is just a big busy airport. With that being said it is easy to access, they do shut it down to outside personnel entering around 11PM I think, so if you are stuck there it is pretty …
I end up always having a layover here and I really don’t mind it. It’s definitely on the better side of airports I’ve been stuck at. Plenty of charging areas at gates, numerous food options, surprisingly clean bathrooms for an airport, and clean in general.
It was quick and easy to get through security to get to my gate. Silver dinner was good, slow, but good. The bathrooms weren’t great and this is the 3rd time I’ve flown out of BWI in the last month and my flight has never been on time… thanks Southwest… can’t wait to the law passes to start taking care of consumers for flights…
Check-in was really fast, the security check also went pretty seamlessly. All in all, a nice airport with a variety of restaurant and fast food option inside the terminal.
The airport is clean, however, the customer service is poor. The agent at the check point did not allow a bag a half a pound over the limit. After reaching our destination, the bags were delayed from BWI for 2 days. A friendlier, organized, client centered atmosphere is needed from this airport.
They have the worst! Instructions to direct you out airport to shuttle pick up! Damn shuttles leave with hardly no one on board take forever to come back. Parking Lot A drivers particularly. All the other shuttles come more frequently, …
There bathrooms were disgusting. Rental car shuttle has no labels inside to tell you which airline stops they are making. You just have to ask ppl around you. …
Probably the best customs experience in a long time. Was super fast and besides the scary face customs agent (to be expected) was smooth. They even had free carts for military personnel. Then while waiting for the elevator next to the USO …
We’ve had lots of layovers here but not much experience with TSA or outside security. There are a lot of food options and seating. It was easy to find a place to charge a phone. Large windows to watch airplanes or construction if you have a …
Beautiful airport.. Need more moving sidewalks for older folks. Need more arrival & departure marquees & directional signs. We walked from the end of B Concourse to C55 only to find SW had moved our flight to A16. Otherwise, beautiful design & pleasant experience.
Baggage claim a nightmare. Finding it was no issue but baggage delays are inconvenient at least with Southwest. Yes, I understand this can happen but not notifying passengers that bags are delayed ridiculous. Waited an hour for my bag was …
Every single time we come to BWI there are massive lines to get into the bus to the rental car off site lot. But routinely a dozen empty buses will pass us heading to “long term parking” or “rail service”. Need more shuttles to rental cars
Parked my vehicle, went to the baggage claim area to meet my wife, retrieved her luggage then headed back to our vehicle, exited with only a $4 parking fee.
For me, this is how I prefer to handle picking up someone from the airport. …
Very nice dining options. We loved that they have a minutes suites option so you can lay down in a private room and nap or watch tv, that made our delayed flight and being stranded at the airport bearable. I noticed fresh flowers in multiple restrooms which was a nice touch.
Generally very clean. Signs are easy to follow. They have working escalators. Some interesting artwork including a picture of the Lincoln monument. Lots of food places in the terminal. …
I’ve been in this airport only during midnight hours and it works fine as expected. One time I arrived at 3:30 and the security checkpoint was closed, but they opened again at 4am. The terminal is big enough to spend some time while …
Good airport, great options for eating, shopping and even suites next to the gates so you don’t have to pay a expensive taxi for it. Overall this airport was cool and short for domestic. I flew with American in Main Cabin Extra with it’s extra legroom seats and extra snacks after the crew finishes giving out snacks.
I fly in and out of BWI every month, and it’s very easy to navigate. TSA can take 15 minutes or more to get through, but TSA pre-check and Clear are other available options. The doors to ground transportation are clearly labeled for …
In my opinion better than Dulles. It is nice, clean, and has less crowds. It has a decent selection of stores and is almost as close to the city as Dulles. …
It’s like most any other airport with a lot of restaurants and gift shops on site. I stopped at one small shop to grab water and a candy bar. It was very crowded. I’m flying Avelo for the first time and hoping it will be a good flight.
Best airport in North America?!! It is soooo cold in this airport. I almost felt homeless sleeping on a bench with 2 layers top and bottom plus full winter coat zipped up to top over my mouth, boots, hood, gloves. I don’t know if they don’t …
The TSA pre check was pretty smooth to go to , once through security there were lots of food places to go to and the lines weren’t long for the early flights
We were from out of town and saw the good reviews for this restaurant. We loved it! We had calamari and a deluxe pizza and loved them both. Pizza was more like a NY pizza and it was definitely made from scratch. Great layout of an old …
If you are flying from a Concourse E, don’t come to the airport hungry because there is no food here. The hall is large, a lot of space, you can charge your phone, clean, but no food and coffee
I love this airport. Staff are friendly and it’s very clean. I usually fly Southwest from here and it is spacious. I love the rocking chairs they added so you can watch planes land and take off. Great food choices as well. Parking in long term is affordable ($8/day) and the shuttles are always on time.
Solid airport. Floors are not comfy to sleep on when your flight gets canceled. Restaurants close around 10pm at the D terminal, but it could be different at the others. Staff was nice. Free shuttle bus to the train station as well. …
What an excellent airport!
The lines were extremely short, and the place was squeaky clean. I strongly recommend flying through BWI if you have options.
Showing it’s wear, men’s restrooms need to be cleaned on D concourse. Fortunately, the airport is not as busy or crowded as Hartsfield Atlanta, curbside check in is offered and convenient. Plenty of meal options.
BWI-Baltimore is a nice airport, I definitely think it needs to expand. The only issue is not enough places for picking up a quick breakfast and snack. The lines were long 20plus in many eateries in terminal A. Security was quick and efficient.
Love coming to BWI for all my travel. Live in Central PA area and it’s easy to drive in, pick up, park, and it’s consumer friendly.. Has alot of food drink and accessories for traveling… Even now with covid…
The international terminal is very nice, but the only thing I am complaining about is the domestic terminal. It is old and hard to navigate. The rest of the airport is decent though. I’d rather fly out of IAD or DCA instead of this.
The staff here were very friendly. We were here a few hours earlier for our flight at dawn and one of the AA staff provided us with blankets to keep us warm. Highly appreciated. There were also some good food options available for us vegetarians.
BWI is my preferred DC Area airport to go through. Staff are friendly, Checking in is easy with Southwest and American. Bag claim could be a little less of a mess with Southwest over here but its not bad. …
smooth check-in /check-out process. neat and clean lobbies and rest-rooms. there’r many utility shops and cafes. also, there are many mobile/laptop charging ports near different gates.
Light and open .. clean airport. Lots of restaurants.. a little shopping. Many places to charge your phone. I had a great breakfast mid day at the Silver Diner!! I had a small booth and was able to eat and read and sit for part of my long …
I always find BWI airport to be clean, efficient and easy to park for. In my opinion it’s one of the better airports in the United states. The Southwest terminal is fantastic and the rest of the airport seems to be catching up. While there …
This airport is HUGE! It’s the second largest base for Southwest (following Chicago Midway). The personnel were VERY friendly. It’s relatively easy to maneuver through, considering the fact that as soon as I deplaned, I had to walk from …
6-9-22 Came to Maryland for a graduation and I enjoyed my stay. Airport has a small cafeteria before checking in and has restaurants near the gates where you board. There is places where you can get a drink and a nice meal. There are little …
Returning the car was a smoother process than picking up the rental. However, there was no signage at the Return entrance of Thrifty. The entrance is closed, so I entered at Budget and was informed to go out and enter through Hertz. Upon entering though Hertz, there was a Thrifty sign.
Really nice airport. Extremely clean and organized for as busy as it is. Plenty of places to eat, shop and charge your electronics. I don’t fly very often but this airport made it easy. The staff where friendly and happy to answer any questions i had. Thank you!
A very easy to navigate airport. Great signage, lots of places to charge devices, wide variety of sitting areas from private work cubes to comfy rocking chairs overlooking the airplanes. I really like the light rail system enabling a nice way to continue the travel adventure on my way downtown.
I have always adored going to air ports. This magnificent building tops them all. The bright colorful architectural design with the mix of culture and music makes this place seem as a cloud nine on the ground. The beautiful planes keep the …
Family bathrooms, charging stations, quick security. Decent airport. The international area is pretty small with only one restaurant in the E- section, but its easy enough to walk to D if you’re ahead of schedule. Didn’t have to park, but was able to access my airline from the front door.
This is a good quality airport. Going throughout this airport was very smooth for me. The tsa lines can be pretty long but they do their best. The layout is very good. There are a ton of restaurants and shops to visit while waiting for your flight.
What a mess! 2 hours waiting for our bags. I used to praise this airport at how well it was handled. Now, I will NEVER say that again. You all better straighten up what you have going on! If I could give less of a rate I would. You don’t even deserve a star at all!
Nice airport. Easy to navigate. Lots of good food options.
I take no issue with BWI at all. Clean, friendly, and Easy to understand.
Definitely appreciate the fact that you don’t have to take out electronics at the security checkpoint. …
Much better than the last time I was here. Reminds me somewhat of CLT. Would be so much better charging stations were in Terminal B, I didn’t see a single one. Lots of good food and nice shops.
Very good airport as far as they go. Pretty clean and haven’t seen very long lines anywhere but Starbucks. …
If you don’t buy food buy 9pm you’re SOL. Terrible airport. Staff at all restaurants hate their lives
Very large airport. Well coordinated, organised and neat. The staffs were very helpful and friendly, they made the experience a seamless one.
Solid terminal, mini food court definitely helps, since there’s not many sit down restaurants
Great airport! We checked in and got thru TSA fairly quickly. Friendly and helpful employees.
Needs more than one set of vending machines on one end of the airport. Otherwise clean and convenient.
Mid size airport easy to get around. I’ve only flow delta so I only know D terminal. It take about 45 minutes to get from rental car return, checked in, through security, and two the gate. It has a couple art installations. I enjoy it.
Nice airport, always bright and clean, low sound levels which are lower than many airports.
I love the large selection of food places they had at Baltimore’s airport! So much to choose from. May not seem important to some but when you travel from one side of the country to another it’s something you look for. …
This airport is really nice and the food options are phenomenal. Just to name a few…
Auntie Anne’s …
While …
Most seating has charging ports, looks like they’re working on more to come. Restrooms were clean. Great job BWI!
The airport is great until you go through security. The employees screening your bags are so rude and each time I travel the rules change but they expect you to read their minds. Next time I will put it on video and send to the news station to broadcast so maybe they will hire some nicer people that actually like people.
I never want to be stranded again, but I really enjoyed my stay at BWI. We had 6 hours to kill and it was very pleasant. I learned some things too!
Worst costumer service ever. Will avoid BWI at all cost in the future. Will book layovers verse direct flights… anything not to travel from this location. Bad experience flying out and flying in.
This airport appeared clean everywhere. It wasnt too hard to navigate. They even had nice lighting and fresh flowers in the bathroom!
Clean, professional, efficient airport depending on the airline you are flying of course. Southwest has been good to me thus far, United is okay, Spirit not so much but you know… to each his own
It was late, couldn’t get a gate pass. And then the kid appeared out of nowhere.
Security …
No hassle getting through TSA. Got to our gate pretty fast, not crowded at 7:00am. Definitely love BWI airport.
It was the worst airport experience I ever had. The holiday traffic was horrendous and unmanageable. The police was policing incorrectly.
Always had a good experience. Not too crowded. Loads of eateries while waiting for flight.
Prison labor force runs TSA security service and food courts . You will get better service in Kigali International, Uganda
In terms of airports, relatively average for an American airport. Comfortable enough, decent concessions. Could use some lounges.
Bit of a ride to the rental car facility, but otherwise nice. Be there at 4 to 430 am to breeze thru security for early morning flights
Shuttle buses from parking lots are horrible and slow. Drivers shipped stops with a lot of people waiting.
Experience was good eventhough I get searched by TSA everytime I have gone through. This time they were not so bad. Xmas spirit.
Cleanest airport I’ve ever visited! Very organized, staff is super kind! Loved it!
I had to run from the B concourse to the A to catch a flight but it looked like a nice airport. People movers helped us get around quickly.
Flying out of BWI today! It’s usually good experiences but Thomas out of Southwest caused an issue where my significant other couldn’t get a pre boarding pass based on his assumption that my girlfriend didn’t need one. We get one every time …
Easy to get from one place to another. Staff are ….. moderately friendly to sometimes nasty. Overall not the worst airport I’ve been to
I like flying out of BWI.
Great experience! Security Checkpoint and waiting for plane boarding, outlets for phone charging! Thanks!
Airport was very easy to navigate, also there were plenty of various bars to eat and kill time between flights
Getting out of a SouthWest Airline flight B11 and going to B13 on a tight 40 minute layover was pretty seemless!!!. …
Thank you for having water bottle refill stations. Chefs Kiss over here in Terminal A near gate 11.
Every time I come through here the bathrooms are disgusting! I realize some of the passengers that come through are also disgusting to leave the restroom the way they do, but its terrible! Literally the dirtiest of any airport I have seen! This is in the Southwest terminal!
Love this little airport
You don’t have to walk real far to get to your terminal and it’s usually very smooth to get through security.
My knuckles was cut by the door piece to close within the stalls near A-9 and no one besides the workers at Potbellys restaurant could help me get coverage on the bleeding wound. Not even security. I had my finger wrapped in toilet paper …
Nice clean environment. Not overly crowded or busy. Was allowed to unload car without having to worry about security. Flight was on time.
HORRIBLE service from TSA at this airport. Agent took every single item out of my carefully packed bag without telling me what he was looking for (I could have told him exactly where it was). Then he dropped my toothbrush on the ground and it fell out of its case. He didn’t even apologize. Fuming
Everyone at the airport was very kind and helpful.
Fairly easy to maneuver through. Friendly staff. Lots of food and drink choices.
It’s an airport, the bathrooms don’t smell great. The bathroom on my flight smelled better. The restaurants and shops were clean
Good experience. Lots to do even though our flight was delayed
Service was awesome from our longterm parking bus driver (#407), to TSA, and flight crew; plane was delayed hence the vid 🤷🏾♀️😍✊🏾 …
Everyone working was unfriendly, unhelpful, and just… rude. It honestly makes me never want to visit Baltimore. …
Passengers sat on the …
Always a good stop for a layover. Decent food, not too busy and easy to navigate. …
From my area in Pennsylvania this is my favorite airport to fly from and to the Caribbean: BWI And Baltimore rocks 👋😎🤙 …
Great airport with great food selections.
This is definitely an ethnic airport. I love it. I’ve never seen this in any airport but here. Easy to get around and good restaurants.
TSA lines are long! Get there early! Shuttle for daily parking stops lots of times before getting to airport. Other than that it’s a nice airport.
Great airport. Nice employees & staff. They genuinely seem to like their jobs, well at least the people I came into contact with.
You …
The FAA shut down the entire country. I had a great time at the observation deck and the time flew by
Liked this airport.
Not a bad airport. Some decent food choices. Wait for the rental car facility bus can be a bit long. Sometimes 20 – 30 min.
Quite good, not so busy. Travelled beginning of September
Great airport! Quick and friendly security team, multiple shops and restaurants, clean and easy to navigate.
Not a bad airport. Security checkpoint, from my experience, is relatively fast. The airport is pretty clean with some interesting art inside. …
On the past two occasions I have flown out and parked at Long Term Lot A, the bus for that lot has been almost non-existent upon my …
Quick to fly-in and fly-out compared to IAD and DCA. Security check was quick but offsite car rental is a little longer drive and need extra time.
My fave part is being able to …
This airport has really good long-term parking and for cheap prices as well. The buses are super quick and reliable as well. …
I come from a smaller city so I was nervous about living in a bigger city with a bigger airport, but can safely say I love this airport! I don’t have to worry about getting here 3 hours early, in my experience I’ve never waited more than 45 …
Stopover experience.
Lots of choices for food and shopping. Nice walk around. Very clean and friendly staff. Ate at the Silver Diner. Good breakfast.
Security is usually faily fast and the food options are as good if not …
Great airport. Everything is clean and you can get though security quickly.
Nice airport about an hours ride from DC. Lots of space here and open places.
Nice airport, however most restaurants here were closed when I arrived at 8pm.
Everything else was quick, but the wait for the shuttle bus to the car rental …
REALLY BUSY!!! This airport was really busy, but there was good food options and no delays or cancellations on my southwest flight. Nice airport.
Great! Found ground transportation very easily and even saw a 24-hour flower vending machine! Good public transit with light rail and buses available!
Generally very clean. Signs are easy to follow. They have working escalators. Some interesting artwork including a picture of the Lincoln monument. Lots of food places in the terminal. …
Spacious and well equipped airport! Cool to see a Prince store past the customs!
I’ve been in this airport only during midnight hours and it works fine as expected. One time I arrived at 3:30 and the security checkpoint was closed, but they opened again at 4am. The terminal is big enough to spend some time while …
Good airport. Much better than most other regional airports and a great selection of food counters.
Nice airport. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
This airport is becoming my new favorite connecting spot!
This is a good Airport even though there is construction going on this is a good Airport one of the better airports that I’ve been in in a long time
I fly in and out of BWI every month, and it’s very easy to navigate.
The facility is awesome. It’s clean and ready to get around. There are plenty of places to eat. …
Great layout of an old …
One of my all time airports to fly through! Of acourse with Southwest of course. Your food, shopping, makeup and massage options are endless too.
Great little airport, everything was very well situated and easy to navigate.
Solid airport. Floors are not comfy to sleep on when your flight gets canceled. Restaurants close around 10pm at the D terminal, but it could be different at the others. Staff was nice. Free shuttle bus to the train station as well. …
Nice airport not very crowded when i went through. Coffee places and eateries available.
For being a large airport, navigation is simple. Good choice are available. The space for walking is great and the art is diverse.
Large airport with very easy access to long term parking. Security was a little slow for the regular line, but TSA Pre Check went through quickly.
Thank you!
BWI is big and it spread out. When you enter you don’t really come to know about the layout. A lot to walk if your gates are D and beyond. …
