Byrd Regional Hospital (LA) Reviews ( 78 )

  1. Went in there for extreme abdominal pain and vomiting. Took me back and said to do urine sample and they’d be back to get it. Sat there for over an hour and no one came. Going elsewhere.

  2. Worst hospital I’ve ever been to there was one other person in the ER when I showed up they took me back and now I’ve been sitting to here for 3+ hours I d know if it’s just night shift so I can’t really say Byrd all around but the night shift is horrible

  3. Horrible place. I wish there were other choices than Byrd here. We had to go to ER, and waiting was too long, staff is rude. Go somewhere else, save your nerves and money.

  4. You people don’t even count as people. How do you like that!!! Really, you third world country hell hole. Should seriously not even count as the U.S. You stupid people think you are so superior and don’t even realize how stupid you are to …

  5. I took my mother here to get some tests done. They treated her like a queen. Thank you to all the staff for making my mother’s visit as plesant as possible.

  6. Horrible service! People were not friendly. Nurses gossiped instead of tending to patients. Waited on a doctor for 3 hours after we were told we could go home. Took 2 hours for discharge.

  7. The nurses are very rude and no one has very good be side manners they do not try to find every possible reason for your pain they just send you home and the doctors are just along with them very rude and last time I came in after a car …

  8. Very unsatisfied with my visit yesterday. They couldn’t tell me if I had a concussion or what was wrong with me. They told me to Google my symptoms to see what’s wrong with me. I will not go back to this hospital.

  9. Well I seen alot of reviews majority negative but at least my experience was super great the staff that assist me and my wife are great and respectful and caring got in to do a sonogram and in about 30 mins I was out the door with my result and got to see my baby boy very satisfied

  10. Worst hospital I have ever seen and visited, do yourself and your family a favor and avoid this ER AT ALL COST, Erica the nurse in the ER is rude, terrible bedside manner, and honesty shouldn’t even be a Nurse. Go to a better hospital, this one is not worth the stop

  11. My sister is in the ER with my toddler nephew and nerds help and they won’t let me come back to help him.
Both girls at the front are rude giving attitude and treating to call the police on me bc I want to talk to the supervisor.

  12. This “hospital” is a nightmare. Worst care I’ve received anywhere. If you are sick or injured, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I will never step foot in this shady “hospital” again…. …

  13. People who give this place any stars besides 1 clearly haven’t had good care. This place is a dive! The labor and delivery is a joke, I’ve lived around the globe and no hospital is like this unless you’re in the ghetto and on state assistance.

  14. i have a heart problem , went in there having issues with my heart problem .. needing medication for pain , crying in pain etc … they told me “my ribs were infected & that’s what was causing my ribs to swell” NOPE 🙅‍♀️ . i got to hot & it …

  15. My mom came here to have my little brother because the previous hospital she was at was pretty bad, and she found this hospital to be perfect, the doctors were GREAT. considering it’s pretty much the only hospital in Leesville, it’s very exceptional.

  16. Would definitely advice not going to this hospital I went there Friday morning because I was running a high fever of 104.6 and they kept me for maybe two hours COVID tested me and told me my test was negative then the doctor came in and …

  17. My husband went in because I asked him to, he was feeling bad from sinus pressure, sore throat, chest pressure and the male nurse just looked in his mouth and said ‘you have a cold, get rest and fluids.’ Then the nurse went down the hall …

  18. The surgery department is a lot better. RN Hope is helpful professional and caring. I was happy to have her as my nurse. Dr. Traina was thuroth. Made sure I understood my procedure completely.

  19. My son and Daughter in law had my first grand baby the room was not clean in three day. Had to buy trash bags and room was not sweep or mopped. Was good for having a new born. Unhappy grandma

  20. Good parking lot was full, but able to find a spot not to far away.
No reception desk at the entrance we used. But we’re able to use signs to find our way to maternity ward. The nursing staff were polite and helpful. The free …

  21. I highly recommend avoiding this hospital. I went into the emergency room in tears due to pain. X-rays taken but doctor said he wouldn’t do anything.after yelling help for 5 min and no one helping I left in as much pain and will deal with this tomorrow. Never again will I go to this hospital.

  22. I worked for Life Care EMS a long time ago. I always liked going into the ED at Byrd because the staff were always nice not only to us but the patients. When we brought in a high acuity patient they were always on top of it.

  23. Quite possibly the worst hospital in America. Called ahead of time to notify I was bringin in a patient in serious pain and requested a wheelchair outside. When I got there, there was no wheelchair outside. I filled out all the paperwork …

  24. Out of all the hospitals I have been to the last two years, this is by far, the best !! They have run test that never have been run in the last 15 years of my disease. ER crew was awesome, 2nd floor nurses are very caring, knowledgeable, and just awesome!! I have found my hospital.

  25. This place is terrible. I went to the ER because I am pregnant and had falling down some stairs. After sitting me in a corner for 3 hours they then moved me to a room were I sat another hour for them to check my baby’s heartrate and send me on my way. Never again. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because one of the nurses was nice.

  26. Just took my girlfriend in for our first ultrasound. They took her to another room without saying a word to anyone, where they proceeded to do the ultrasound without me. They didn’t let her hear the heartbeat, and they refused to let us have the photos. They also almost killed my dad a few years over a stroke.

  27. Worst hospital stay EVER. Was admitted through transfer for heart rate being low, nurses were literally in and out of the room before you could ask for help half the time, the staff DO NOT communicate with each other well at ALL. Dr swears …

  28. My wife just had the worst experience ever at that hospital. They discharged her and she couldn’t even walk. She’s in worst shape than when she was admitted. The nurses were rude and didn’t even act like they cared. I’m checking with the …

  29. I’ve been to their ER a couple times and those visits weren’t bad. But a friend of mine recently delivered there and had one of the worst experiences. The nurses weren’t helpful at all, and her L&D nurse was rude. It’s not my place to go into further detail, but everything I’ve heard I would not recommend going here.

  30. How is the hospital in network and the doctor is not? Went to the ER which should have been only $100. A month later I get a bill for $1600. Called the hospital and they explained that the doctor was contracted out and was not covered by my …

  31. Where do I begin? Worse experience of our lives. My first grand baby was delivered here in 2004, I couldn’t have asked for better. Fast forward to august 2017, 2nd grand baby on the way. My daughter went in because she was hurting. Not only …

  32. I was sent her for pre term labor, everyone was nice, except the catheter they used was too thick. They need to invest in the thinner catheter tubes. I had to have that thing in for two days after they had to send me to a higher level of care. I’ve had other catheters before, the one they used must be a cheaper one.

  33. If you care about your family members do not bring them here. Worst experience ever!! 90 year old grandmother in here and no one was allowed to go back to triage with her to help her make decisions or anything. Covid or not there’s …

  34. I honestly wouldn’t even give them a 1 star! I was on the 2nd floor this week with my 4 month old son that was admitted from Dr Begs office Wednesday. Tests were taking in the drs office rsv, strep, flu and he came back positive with …

  36. My son had outpt knee surgery. No one gave me any updates whatsoever, and the surgeon did not have the courtesy to speak to me after. I was told that he would talk to us at follow up, but we only see nurse practitioner at the office. I don’t even know what the doctor looks like.

  37. Told me if I wasn’t dying they couldn’t help me when I asked for a progesterone test and an ultrasound. Told me I was worth the 3,000 dollar scan and wouldn’t even test my levels before giving me a scrip. Told me I should have had an ob before I got accidentally pregnant. Dr. Johnson is a horrible man and shouldn’t work in medicine.

  38. When to ER with chest pain the waiting was terrible long for 45 minutes when finally I enter the room the room was nasty. Blood splashed on the wall, trash full and on on on. When the doctor came give some ibuprofen and send me home to …

  40. The 2nd floor nurse station is very rude. Had a terrible experience today at Bryd. They do not deserve a star. The lady at the desk was unprofessional and rude when I asked about caring for a patient I was there to see. Thumbs down.
