  1. They are very expensive and ridiculous too. We pay an excessive amount for service and the power goes out at the drop of the hat. Worst utility company ever

  2. Constant outages. Called to get an estimate on how long to expect to be without power… “we have no idea and no way to know” sorry but this isn’t my first time as a home owner. Every other company I’ve had would give you a ballpark idea!

  6. Right now West Penn has 6 outages in Rimersburg and 3 in Sligo. There are 231 in Porter Township without power. For 12 years the outages have constantly occurred. Their remedy? Mow over 34 of my 12 inch saplings under their line.

None of the website have a click on the number to connect for those of us that are trying to call from a cell phone and have no way of writing the number down that is rambled off to you.

  10. Outages all of the time. If there was a different power company option, I would switch immediately. If you too are unfortunate enough to be a customer of this company I suggest adding their “outages” number in your phone because you’ll be needing to call it at least once a month.

  29. I’ve been serviced by the co-op for several decades. My experience with them has generally been pretty positive. The rates are better than other power companies close to me, and the service is reasonably reliable. I don’t understand the 1 and 2 star ratings.

  30. If I could rate central electric zero stars I would. Power goes out all day long multiple times a month. Currently power is out called to check on the time it would be resolved and it said it would be resolved at 745 pm when I was calling at 8 pm. I cut wait to move out of this area and never deal with these people again. Truly.
