Buffalo doesn’t like citizens to take the metro system.. it wants them to climb over snow. Most cities shovel snow or provide heaters in cold weather, but not Buffalo.
The building itself is a deco work of art, with an awesome observation platform at the top. The employees who I have interacted with are generally friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don’t like are the modern security checkpoints, as I miss being able to just walk in and enjoy the spacious entry foyer.

Buffalo doesn’t like citizens to take the metro system.. it wants them to climb over snow. Most cities shovel snow or provide heaters in cold weather, but not Buffalo.

The building itself is a deco work of art, with an awesome observation platform at the top. The employees who I have interacted with are generally friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don’t like are the modern security checkpoints, as I miss being able to just walk in and enjoy the spacious entry foyer.
Really friendly staff that made us feel welcome in City Hall and Buffalo in general. Views from 28 were spectacular and I look forward to when the tours resume. Lots of kids art on display to contrast the normal functions of a bustling city hall. Remember! They’re only open on weekdays.
This building is must see architecture! Too bad that Covid-19 has it closed currently for tours, but even then, there are many Art Deco treasures to discover from the exterior only.
Cool Art Deco piece to see if you’re an Art Deco fan. Inside has a lot of cool pieces of art to see. The observation deck is alright if you enjoy views of metropolitan cities. Truthfully unless you do the tour you could see and experience the building in under an hour. Still cool to see if you need something to do.
I am from Buffalo and didn’t know our City Hall was viewed as an architectural gem. After viewing it as a well-traveled adult, it is unique.

Well the building has some wonderful carvings and murals. It’s the peoples house and worth checking out.
Very easy to get into and going up to the observation deck was free and again easy, go to the elevator bank and just hit the button go up to 25 and then the stairs up and boom you are there!! Beautiful view and well worth a stop!!

Real nice art-deco lobby! The observation deck is free and zero people were there when I went. (Unfortunately the balcony part of the observation deck was closed.) You’d think think place would be popular, but it seemed surprisingly off the beaten path.
