Two stars for answering the phone promptly. That can be a miracle sometimes with the Commonwealth. No help other than filing a complaint. Basically you have no leverage at all with the insurance industry. The Commonwealth used to be tough on them but, really, the regulations are so vague now they can be as sleazy as they want.
Sat on hold forever and had to call three times, because the first time I opted to leave a voicemail for a call back, only to learn that their voicemail is full. Once I finally reached someone he just snapped at me that it was a question for the RMV and hung up.
Like everyone who left a review on here, I was hung up on and treated horribly. Erla and everyone so far I had talked was so rude to me! They make it so obvious they don’t want to be there. I hope they hire new people here or they are going to continue to get bad reviews! Ridiculous!
My license was taken away from the Divison of Insurance on April 13th of 2020 for 60 days, for something that happened in 2016. I am a Service Member in the US Navy serving out of Pearl Harbor Hawaii and require my license to perform my …
I wish there was a way to post a half of a star or zero stars. The experience I had at every level of dealing with anyone from the Mass Dept. of Insurance was horrible. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, lazy and incompetent are the best ways …
Wow it’s a shame I wasn’t the only one who was verbally abused when calling asking for genuine help. I was also hung up on and I believe by the same woman however I can’t confirm because she refused to give me her name. I’m saddened to see …
Awful experience. Not surprised to see people left reviews here on how they were treated. The woman who picked up the phone was very rude! She was essentially yelling at me over the phone! I was just asking for some general information and she didn’t even want to listen to me. She just said “call somewhere else but not here “!
I filed my appeal for an at-fault accident over a year ago and still have not heard back about the hearing. They never answer phone calls and when they do after dozens of calls they’re rude and unprofessional. Pathetic agency and worst services ever.
Republicans are anti-consumer. All that matters is profits, so no enforcement against violations of laws by the monied. And the monied reward that by funding Republican political campaigns.
Unable to contact by phone. I allowed the phone to ring for 10 minutes and nobody picked up. Terrible job on the Comissioner’s part for allowing this!!!
They took my $150 6 months ago and after six months waiting there still saying there is a substantial wait time…I’ll have spent a million bucks on Uber rides before i get a hearing and probably end up homeless!
Terrible customer service. They sold me an item with defective. I was very reasonably client giving them four diferent times to repair and they sent someone to replace the new matress with a broken one in addition they left lots trash in my …
The office is closed and they don’t pick up the mail so there is no way to even apply for a hearing on a harmful RMV decision. emails, phone calls, letters….I wish I could go to the office to get some satisfaction. This is a helpless and hopeless state agency.
I had tried to resolve a payment issue with an insurance company and they stalled and sent new requirements every time contacted. This went on for 6 months and then I contact DOI Mass. …
Don’t even bother. If you received a surcharge in the mail, don’t call to ask any questions. They will point blank scream at you over the phone and complain as to how “only 1 person is in charge of answering the phone”. They will send you the surcharge no problem. But if you have to appeal it… best of luck.
I submitted an appeal hearing about 2 years again and first received a letter in the mail saying I will be given a hearing 3-4 months and to look out for a letter. 6 months went by and after 3-5 call attempts because no one seems to work a …
Cashed my check almost 2 years ago and every time I get someone on the phone they are extremely rude and unprofessional.
Worst Service Imaginable
I wonder how much they get paid to do nothing.
THEY SUCK. WORST ESTABLISHMENT TO EVER EXSIST.
What a bad customer service!!!!!!!
Still waiting for someone to pick up the phone…
If horrible service were and Olympic event, MA Dept of Insurance would get the gold. Almost comical.
Horrible customer service. Super impolite. Can’t even say goodbye. Nothing like being hung up on, when you are politely asking for a question.
I can’t believe these people. Take my 50$$ for my appeal. Almost two years ago never have heard anything back from them. Disgraceful
They just hang up on you. No help for anything.
Extremely hard process. Wish Massachusetts was easier to do business with.
How can business and citizens comply with state requirements if the state does not offers the tools to achieve what is requested?

If I could have given negative stars I would. Awful. They hung up on me 3 times
