For 25 years and counting, we’ve provided access to quality Medicaid coverage to Washington’s residents in their own communities. We expanded to cover Medicare patients in 2007. All of our coverage is geared toward a model of care that treats the whole person and fosters trust, compassion, respect, and equality. We were founded in 1992 by Washington’s community health centers. The CHCs wanted to form an insurance plan that would help coordinate care and advocate for people who were not being served by traditional insurance companies. We became the first not-for-profit managed care plan founded by Community Health Centers in the state, and today we are still the only not-for-profit to provide managed care to Apple Health members.

I have been very impressed with how CHPW really does care about their members and how diligently they work with their partners to make sure the services provided at CHCs are top of the industry.
They were SO fast getting everything sorted with my insurance plan, they didn’t put me on hold not once! And massive shout out to Robert who was SUPER helpful.

No stars for me, dont have any good drs. Feel like crap cuz of pain walk out depressed cuz of dr ralph havens and hes the head dr here at Tukwila hp. Everyone who is low income enough to have this insurance knows that they don’t care about your health. The hoops you have to jump through to get any of the care they pay for are usually flaming and a hundred feet high. If they don’t think you need something that your doctors say you need they can and will deny you any help whatsoever.
I have spoken to customer service twice and I’m still waiting for my benefit card and the details of my plan.
