Thank you for the heads up. I was seriously considering applying but i think I will pass based on the reviews. Looks like this place needs a boost in both integrity, morale and value. Yikes!
UPDATE ON A PLAYER ! BATTS IS 300 LBS. PLUS . HE GIVES POKEMON TOURNAMENTS IN CASE YOUR WONDERING . STILL NOT BACK IN COLLEGE. PRAY FOR HIM PLEASE AND HIS MOM IMMEDIATELY. HELP BE THE DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES. HE GAVE UP COMPLETELY AND HIM AND HIS MOM BLAME EVERYONE BUT THEMSELVES.
The professors are very helpful and want you to succeed. Financial aid is okay it has some issues; however, the financial advisors will resolve your issue in a timely fashion.
I am a graduate of Coppin State University and with any educational experience it is what you make it. I am a non-traditional HBCU student and was always treated with respect and enjoyed the staff.
Transferring to this college has been nothing but overwhelming, everything is good until you reach financial aid . I’ve emailed everybody and I want to so is get an education. It’s frustrating and depressing.
I briefly stopped at Coppin when I was still in high school, because my grandmother is an alum and wanted me to consider going. I was looking for a Computer Science/Information Technology program; my mom mistakenly called it a CyberSecurity …
As a HBCU, (Historically Black College and University) i go to support Coppin for their basketball games, everyone is a big family there!!! Even those who dont know you, they still will speak to you!! Glad to have HBCU’s in our state of …
Coppin State is now the worst school in Baltimore, and one of the worst in the country. 84% of students drop out! The average GPA is just a 2.7. The honest reviews are hidden, scroll down and read them. Sojourner Douglass closed down, and Coppin State isn’t far behind.
I do not understand where these good reviews are coming from. The campus itself is very beautiful but the surroundings are the worst ever! Your car will get broken into, people only like this school because everyone gets good grades.
The experience at Coppin is one horrible one to remember. I tried to support HBCU’s since I’m an African American but the unorganization at these schools are ridiculous. Coppin is by far the worst. The financial aid office doesnt really …
Terrible admin support. They left my ssn off my account and caused me to miss a full semester of classes but they still charged me since I didn’t “withdraw” in time when in reality I was told everything was ok and had already accepted aid. Now I’m stuck with loans for classes I didn’t even get to take.

This is a nice college. Since I just graduated from CCBC Catonsville, I have applied here and I like it so far. The administrators are nice and Coppin has nice environments. Please note I am amazed that Subway restaurant is there as well as the grillhouse cafe, dining room at Talon Center, and yes big buildings.
possibly overshadowed by other HBCUs, COPPIN is a key part of the rich black history that is Baltimore. If we invest in it, it will be a part of the city’s rich future. …
