  13. Never again coming here. I’m sitting in the ER 2 hours waiting to be seen as I watch everyone that came in after me get called in. 104 fever, chills, body ache, curled in a ball don’t take precedent. You can die here.

I’m at a point where I’m about to leave this hospital and go to another one.DO NOT GO HERE if you have an emergency.

  38. I’ve always had my issues solved and them finding out that I had a low IGM PROTEIN DEFICIENCY which was causing me to be hospitalized every two months. Dr Fort is a awesome Doctor. I wish to find another primary doctor like him now that he’s in a different position at Danbury Hospital

  48. I understand that healthcare workers are overworked, but that gives them absolutely no reason to be rude to their patients show some empathy or get out of this profession.

  49. So let’s get one thing straight. You go to a hospital when you’re sick, right? Or you go there when your loved one is sick, right? Right. You’re not there for an amusement ride or a picnic. You’re there in a depressed mood, hoping that the …

  53. Horrible wait time in the E.R at about 10PM 7/8/19. My 10 and 3 year old sons had a fever 101 degrees and swollen tonsils. We waited until 11:30pm just to be registered. We had about 8 patients ahead of us, no urgency or attendance of staff. Ended up leaving and will head to urgent care in the morning.

  58. Negative Stars is what Nuvance needs. The worst part is the patronizing way every voicemail I get says “we focus on personal care”. I have been trying to schedule an echocardiogram for a month now. If i die from a heart attack, i fully blame the existence of Nuvance.

  59. I took a patient to the infusion department at the Danbury hospital and he was treated very well. I also saw them serving lunch i have never seen that it was looking good to me. They take care of their patient doesn’t matter what state orform they are in they are treated well, loved that , that is good to see

  70. One month ago my father was hospitalized for heart failure. The phone in his room did not work.. He was not given food or water for 10 hours. We could not visit because of covid 19. Patients are not safe in Danbury Hospital without the family overseeing their care.

Do not go to this hospital. Totally worthless

  75. Appreciate the doctors, nurses and staff who are doing their best work. The hard-nosed corporate “policies“ and lack of empathy or care on the part of Nuvance health is disgusting. If you need treatment for an emergency or life-threatening issue I recommend seeking help elsewhere.

  94. So far 5 1/2 hours waiting. Still haven’t been seen for abdominal pain. Staff seem unphased. Can’t terribly blame them. This is an issue that needs to be addressed by management and the board. They are failing people terribly. I’ll follow up with how the care actually is if I ever receive it.

  137. I would give this hospital zero stars if I could. I had two loved ones in my life go to this hospital when they needed help. Both were not diagnosed properly and sent home with prednisone. One of them had an infected gallbladder that needed …

  138. I wish I could give negitive 10 stars. This is not an understatement, they KILLED my healthy grandmother by giving her open wounds, that later lead to sepsis becuase they were never cleaned. KILLED MY GRANDMOTHER.It was so bad that we …

  139. Literally the slowest hospital on earth. Coming from New York, I assumed hospitals in CT would be faster, wrong. I took my daughter here twice, the first time, I waited no less 5 hours before she was called the see a doctor just for them to …

  140. Bad, the worth on the State of CT. My husband with chest pain wait so many hrs. And nobody give any answer or solution. The bills there fenomenal BIG!!!!! I will zero start !!!!

  141. The ER department really needs an overhaul!!! My Dr sent me straight to the ER because of low BP and Rapid Hearbeat. He called ahead for them to excpect me. . He wanted me to go by ambulance! Well I was triaged immediately, but my …

  142. I’m only giving them 1 star b/c I can’t leave 0.. After arriving via ambulance in excruciating pain from my back, I was sat in a hallway for several hours in extreme pain. I asked for pain medicine seeing as-though I been waiting almost 4 …

  143. First of all Danbury Hospital is a monolith. Because of the area and the Covid, they are shortstaffed and overworked. For nonessential emergency room visits you are better off driving to new Milford Hospital. That being said I was just …

  144. Very very very slow process my wife came in with severe back pain 4 hours and counting , people that came after us , are being called before us . This is truly unorganized and very selective on who they call . Their strategy for emergency room procedures needs to be upgraded .

  145. There was a total lack of communication about my adult son’s condition. I would spend all day trying to reach a nurse; the receptionist connects you to a phone that rings 50 times; if you finally reach someone, they don’t call you back. You …

  146. I was born here and opted to have my daughter here. A wonderful hospital with knowledgeable nurses & doctors !! Maternity ward is very nice and you have your own room. My daughter spent a week in the NICU where she & I had many accommodations. Thank you

  147. I went there with chest discomfort after being sent there from urgent care. Upon hearing that, the staff took me immediately and performed an EKG. To be certain all was ok they took blood, and had to do again. Here are my thoughts. The …

  148. I asked to admit myself to the psych ward. Not having good thoughts pertaining to myself. I had to undress in the room even though the room had a camera in the top corner. I don’t understand why the lady couldn’t have watched me undress …

  149. I would say overall I had a pretty good experience; My surgeon is amazing at his job & has been supportive and caring, seeing I’ve been sick and in excruciating pain for so long now. He and his residents do not listen though when you tell …

  150. Emergency room is always a disaster. Too long of a wait. Almost always 5 hours. No communication. Lack of service. Very sick people just left waiting. Patients walk in and just leave. Something is terribly wrong with staffing levels. Hospital admin needs to be taken to task. Third world level service.

  151. They do not allow children on the maternity floor, and do not provide the option of even paying for childcare service. We do not have family local to the area, so I haven’t met my daughter yet (born 14 hours ago) and now have to have put …

  152. This is by far the worst hospital I’ve ever had to experience. I’d give 0 if that was an option. Do not go there if your expecting competent, professional or even respectful staff, doctors, managers, etc to take care of anything. They made …

  153. My experience with the hospital was wonderful. I gave birth to my first child here and the nurses that attended my needs were lovely. The hospital is short staffed but overall I enjoyed my couple of days there. They have lactation …

  154. By far the worst experience in the emergency room for my toddler. My toddler was beyond sick with a bad fever going in and out of consciousness, I had explained to “Loanda” who was in the front desk and it seems she had no care in the …

  155. If Google allowed ZERO STARS that is what this absolutely atrocious hospital would be getting. My boyfriend’s mother was hospitalized for a 3.3cm tumor. Dr. Batson (wonderful!) removed it in a very successful surgery. That’s where all the …

  156. I’ve lived in the Danbury area for over 30 years and this hospital has gone from excellent to good to bad. I’m pretty sure the team is severely understaffed and under a lot of stress, but not ok to trivialize someone’s suffering and pain. I …

  157. I never stiffed them on a bill. I presumably had lab debts from bills they never sent me in the mail. Can’t get a answer from the billing department of the hospital. They outsourced their lab billing to some call center in India and all …

  158. If there was an option for zero stars, that would be my option, but I’ll use 1 for all intents and purposes. This justifies all the hate DH gets in terms of social media etc……. …

  159. Hospital staff have a difficult job I realize but how you treat people who are vulnerable matters. The difference between the way I was treated by the Danbury vs Ridgefield professionals were night and day. Ridgefield professionals were …

  160. If I could give negative stars, let alone 0, I would! DO NOT GO TO THIS ER IF YOU ARE IN AN EMERGENT STATE, YOU WILL DIE BEFORE BEING SEEN OR GIVEN ANY SORT OF COMPASSION. I waited for 7 HOURS, have multiple chronic diseases and health …

  161. Front dest lady (Kay) doesn’t know how to wear a mask! Everyone else has to but the older front desk lady hasn’t worn it correctly for the last 3 days I’ve been visiting. If a health care facility doesn’t care about their own health why would I think they’d care about me or my elderly family member that’s having an operation there.

  162. It’s the worst hospital in US, if I could I gave 0, due to not caring my mother correctly in emergency, her hip is broken. The nurses are so rude, the doctors are too young and don’t like to talk. The case managers, wanted to discharge the …

  163. Bad billing practices. They will charge you 2 times for a copay then finally take one of the payments off to correct their mistake to only get billed for that double payment again. I have had to call 7 times in 60 days to be told they are …

  164. The PA that took care of was fabulous. The billing department not so much. I ripped off my nail I don’t have insurance and I understand a trip to the ER isn’t inexpensive. $4800 for 3 stiches 45 min in a room is insane. I offered to pay …

  165. I spent two whole days visiting my dad in intensive care and I have to say that everyone I came in contact with was excellent especially Dr. Douglas Kahn. He was exceptional. I felt so comfortable with him and how he explained all of my …

  166. I wish you had negative stars! My father was taken by ambulance for difficulty breathing and weakness. He tested positive for Covid and his Pulsox was 87, this was done at home. The ER placed him in the waiting room! When I arrived, …

  167. Patients waiting 8+ hours in the waiting room tonight (12/29/22) at Danbury Hospital. Sick patients walking out the door (saw at least 3 families leave after waiting 8 hrs.). 79 year old patient with pneumonia waited 8+ hours in the …

  168. Very disappointed with Danbury hospital. Before I go on- yes, I know about the “understaffed and overworked” ordeal, and do understand. I went to the ER about 5am for severe abdominal pain w/bleeding almost to the point where I could not …
