Way too many random outages. It’s very frustrating.
Worst electric company I have ever had. Out all the time. Hours to fix it. Tonight it has been out at least three hrs. I hate this company
Decatur REMC, also a provider of Wildblue – Excede internet service. warning…buyer beware….be sure to read reviews on this product before entering into any contract with this provider…they cannot provide any of the rate speeds …
Very friendly, helpful people. Quick to resolve the very few outages we have had in two years we’ve had their service. Easy to contact, really like their SmartHub app.
I seem to be going more times to the basement in order to re-boot our furnace after a power outage. Just had one Sunday (14th) night. It’s been a wild winter! Lots of wind.
Worst service I’ve ever had. Outages on sunny days. If the wind blows the wrong way we have an outage. If a bird lands on a power line the whole grid goes down.
They charge $30 + just to have a per meter at your house and over charge for the electric you do use. Power goes out all the time…they claim it’s the weather but if they would maintain there lines we wouldn’t have any issues. I miss Duke.
Each time there has been an outage, REMC has been GREAT at getting power back on. I do see tree trimmers in the area working to lessen the chances of trees going down that would potentially cause an outage. I like that premptive approach!
I do not like how they will guesstimate if there becomes a problem. Within the last 6 months their meter to our home slowed down. We did not know this because they read them now at the office. So a month goes by and we get a bill for …
