The ladies working at Dickson Electric are some of the sweetest friendliest people you will meet. Always so polite and helpful. Great customer service. Nice clean welcoming facility with a beautiful lobby. Never a wait, always walk …
Never had one problem with the Dickson electric system, since I moved here in 1971.
Not helpful at all
I am appalled.
Great place to work.
Easy to deal for a utility.
Always great staff
Very unorganized and unprofessional
Trash fee???!!!???!!!???
No care for customers.
Very high electric bill between 200-600$
No internet, no phone, no customer service
They are always really kind whenever I have talked to them.
Sweet folks in the office. Never had an issue.
Katarena was a great help on getting the electricity connected.
They don’t take credit or debit cards in the office. That’s how little they care.
They dont care about noone but that money
Tellers are really nice and they would work with me
The power grid definetly has problems. It seems to always go off at the worst time.
Nice place, good people help you if they can.
bill too high, poor service, and lights go off and on 1 to 3 times a month than 20 years ago
Never had a issue with service until I tried to shut it off when I moved . They kept getting the shut off date wrong .
So slow to fix anything, great work union workers trying to get that OT
Website constantly down. Difficult to pay the bill.
They have really tried to work with me on my bill …very nice people
I tired of blink electric powers many times cause us to fix clock again and again. Plus Electric bills are so high!
Thanks for the cut-off notice! 18 degrees out. Nice.
Worst electric company ever over priced poor service They suck wont work with you if you get behind. wont change payment dates. they suck…… they suck.
Thank you for restoring our power. Your quick response allowed us to stay in our house with just a few days without power.
When I enter electric company, I didn’t remember how they got expensive floor, windowproof, and other things no wonder my bill for electric so high than other bills.
I sit here in the dark and heat because the power is out again. Hope I don’t lose all the food in my refrigerator AGAIN.
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood and the power just went out cause the
transformers can’t handle the power and that’s a problem
There nicer than Minnesota power company there mean when that talk to you do not care if you nice rude and at the water to both double your bills and is expensive in Minnesota and Tennessee is way much better than Minnesota and Tennessee …
The customer service was fine, its the rates you are charged I mean one week it cost me 30 then the next week it be closer to 50.an nothing changed
Horrible service! We have bad transformer at our apartments it has to be reset every six months it seems, lights always goes out in this whole building. Takes forever to get them out here to do so.
3.95 $ fee to pay a trash bill… That I shouldn’t even be having considering I’m in an apartment complex… To add to the fact, anytime I load money on prepaid power I get charged 3.95$ as a fee EACH TIME… Ruthless a*s people. .
I got stuck with someone else’s bill that I’ve never been married to or involved with and I was not on their lease agreement, all because I said I stayed there…. I even came up there with my lease agreement and it only had my name on it.
Shockingly bad customer service, reps and even supervisors barely understand how their own company works, and they treat your concerns as disposable because you’re locked in. Wish I was with Cheatham Electric–which is even offering internet soon. Instead I’ve got these hicks.
1) Power goes out at least TWICE a week for no reason
2) I’ve yet to get my bill to match in numbers based on usage and their …
Power goes out a lot on perfectly nice days. Never had so much trouble with a power company before. It never gets better. Every year multiple power loss’s for no apparent reason.
They overcharge ALL the time. They don’t actually get out to read the meter, they “supposedly” drive by…which I doubt. They also have terrible customer service. The ladies I’ve talked to are rude and nasty. I wish I had the choice of a different provider.
Electric service is fine. BUT…to pay online you are charged?! Why?? Then if you go through drive thru *gasp! What No credit or debit?! Noooo
Everything here is just a lil old fashioned lol
Power goes out all the time. I lived in Nashville for 10 years and the power only went out 2 times that I can recall. Since moving to Dickson 3 years ago, my power goes out at least a couple times per month.
They are very unreasonable. I lost my wife to liver cancer March 2014 and have had financial difficulties since, but I’m trying to get caught up. I’ve been late on my mortgage as much as 5 mo behind, but they worked with me to modify the …
Please get the people of Slayden internet I pay $100 a month for satellite internet which is pretty much dial up. There is absolutely zero competition out here.
I’ve lived in Dickson for the past 10 years and this company has more power outages in a single year than most have in a lifetime here in the South. …
I HATE this company. They make zero effort to reach out about issues with payments or your account. I’ve had my electricity shut off twice because they don’t call all the numbers on the account to speak with someone about the issue. When I …
They charge $5.00 to send a past due post card TWO DAYS after the due date. This is in addition to the late fee. BTW, I have been a customer for 12 years and never been late. This was a payment mailed 10 days in advance….. They charge …
Having lived in Kingston Springs for 24 years now, we’ve seen the service dramatically improve. Today, we don’t have the power blinking on and off – it’s practically 100% reliable. And, especially important is the maintenance of our …
Completely incapable of reading a meter. This will be the 4 month in a row they have tried to slap late charges, along with “Covid 19 loan”, and a “meter reading fee”. Good thing they’re the only service around because they would be out of business if they weren’t.
If I could give them zero stars I would. They charge ridiculous fees for subpar service. They are unhelpful and rude at best. I’ve never spoken to or dealt with anyone there who wasn’t miserable and absolutely awful to deal with. Terrible service, horrendous company.
Rates are comparable to other places I’ve lived. The biggest issue I have is with their website. There’s really no purpose because you’re charged to make a payment online! Why do I have to pay to pay my bill? You can’t view your bill online …
Poor customer service and this utility company charges me $10 for every meter I have at multiple homes and businesses I own for sanitation and solid waste and I do not even use the sanitation at most of my locations. I pay a separate …
Lived in burns for 4 years now near Montgomery Bell and I lose power about 4-5 times a year but 2020 iv lost it 8 times this year. It’s like I live in a third world country. I feel like I should get money off my bill if they can’t keep the …
Terrible customer service. The monthly bill wasn’t sent to me, either because it was lost in the mail or Dickson Electric did not send it out. They insisted to charge the late fee, late notice fee, and threaten to disconnect, despite that I …
They have a large deposit of mine for service,
I had to go out of town to help my mother who had cancer until she passed away, when I arrived home, my power had been off for some time, (everything in fridge …
I want to understand why when you call this business everyone that you talk with has an attitude, is rude or talks to you like your ignorant…
They charge outrageous “convenience” fees just to pay your bill by debit card. They also make the billing for garbage pick up separate so that you are charged an additional fee to pay for the garbage pick up. Every month I am charged 6.50 just to process my bill. These sorts of fees should be illegal.
I lived in Nashville for almost 15 years before moving to Charlotte. The power went out about 3-4 times over that span but here, it goes out at least twice a month. Not to mention they charge a “convenience” fee when trying to pay the bill …
Are we EVER going to get fiber optic internet? What is the problem?? Every where including very rural areas has high speed internet, except us in Dickson County. Perry County has it, Humpreys County has it, Benton County has it, Stewart …
I have literally lived in 2nd world countries with a more reliable power grid. Paid my bill the day it was mailed, said the payment was returned. USAA says it was there end and had plenty of money to cover. 60 dollars in fees and no answer …
Electric service is pretty reliable and when theres an issue, resolution is within a reasonable timeframe. However, in my opinion, customer service to the community is cold and bureaucratic. They hunt for reasons to stack fees on so you …
My mother died from covid. I paid her bill in full out of my own pocket. I paid to have the reconnect fee, and deposit. They forced me to put the account in my name instead of in the Estate’s name. I told them I was struggling and asked …
Trying to Charge me 2 years later for some covid balance that I didn’t even agree to and when I was told my deposit will cover my final bill there’s nothing you need to do. Cindy is not of much help. and RUDE
A tree fell on a line a couple of houses down from us and the power was knocked out. The linemen fixed it within a couple of hours! That’s really great service.
This is absolutely the WORST utility I have dealt with in my 50 yrs on the planet. I have lived in 11 states and 16 cities to this point and the customer service at this place is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’m not sure where these ppl …
Yikes, Dickson Electric is super old school. You have to actually “stop by” to drop off your “required” deposit when opening an account and registering and signing into the portal is highly aggravating. If only I could request to be switched to another county’s electric company! They need to step up to nearly 2023.
I had an issue that required the assistance of customer service at headquarters. Ms. Kim Davidson was very helpful and sorted through my issue. The folks at DES always do a good job, whether it’s the linemen, Engineering or customer service. They are always well trained, courteous, and hard working.
It is criminal to charge a $3.25 processing fee on a $10 bill(solid waste).
It is criminal to charge a $5 late fee on a $10 bill(solid waste). …
If I could give the staff 5 stars, I would, but this company as a whole isn’t even worth 1 star.
They have a monopoly on local electrical service, their bill pay system is …
I have never experienced anything but curteous service from any employee which is to me a representative picture of the company. I am only grateful I am not homeless on the streets, live in Ukraine, China or Afghanistan. Iam very grateful we are not without all power.
