Digestive Health Partners Reviews ( 181 )

  1. This place is a money scam. They will over charge you and nickle and dime you for all you have. The service is ok but not professional and give you post op info while still recovering.

  2. Very difficult to schedule an appointment, entered in wrong insurance info, and above all, seems like they want to do as many procedures as possible while not caring about your ailments, only the money that they will make.

  3. Nothing more than a money making mill pushing people thru the system. Avoid and go to Spartanburg, SC or elsewhere. The Asheville – Hendersonville area has mostly dreadful large practiced and this is top of the useless league. Avoid.

  4. Very efficient, friendly, and professional office from entire office staff. So thankful to have such a high quality endoscopy center in town!!

  5. I’ve had two colonoscopies and three endoscopy’s and while not the perfect place the staff from the front desk to the exit staff are always pleasant and competent.

  6. Recently had a procedure done here and everything was excellent. Courteous and competent staff, both on the phone and in person. I’d gladly recommend them to my friends and family.

  7. Very professional and caring staff, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for such an unpleasant procedure. Covid 19 protocol was followed, I felt very safe.

  8. Very Professional Care, very good listeners and I would give this doctors office my very highest rating! They were very helpful and relieved my difficult pain issue very quickly!

  9. I have to go every two years and they are always pleasant and caring the staff is wonderful and so are the doctors they will sit and answer any and all questions you have they have never pushed me threw to get me out

  10. I highly recommend Asheville Gastro. From check -in to check-out was very quick and smooth. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dr. Whitlock was very interested in what I had to say and very knowledgeable .

  11. I had a phone appointment with Dr. Alexander. He was very thorough and sympathetic. I really appreciate the phone option, since my internet is not very dependable.

  12. AGA is an excellent medical facility from the receptionist to the physician. Special thanks to Autumn, George, Edgar, and Dr. Rackoff and everyone else that took care of me. Thank you.

  13. Always a very good experience and interaction with Doctors and staff…after all their efforts just might save your life or anothers. I imagine “L” probably thinks a grocery store is also a “money mill”. Yet they can’t live without one. Huh!

  14. Have felt cared for and listened to by the entire staff. Every practitioner has taken the time and energy to help me understand what the situation is and the available options.

  15. Great staff. Efficient and professional, yet friendly and personable. Very little waiting time. One of the best healthcare patient experiences I’ve encountered!

  16. Absolutely the best doctors! Very professional and concerned. These doctors aren’t just there for the money, they care about you and your health. thank you you’ve saved my husbands life!

  17. Didn’t enjoy the prep, but the professional medical services I got made up for the inconveniences of the prep. Great bunch of folks. Impressed by their follow up phone calls.

  18. Great experience with everyone there. I thought I needed a colonoscopy, but they said wasn’t necessary at the time. They could have just went with it , but the didn’t want to cost me more than necessary.

  19. Dr. Dukowicz is a sincerely warm, concerned physician that is never in a hurry and will answer all questions. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor.

  20. I will continue to use this practice when needed in the future. Dr. Whitlock is excellent!
As for billing and insurance, maybe I shouldn’t blame the practice, but rather the insurance company I used to be with, BCBS of NC. They are horrible!

  21. Was scheduled – by them – for a second endoscopy follow up, expecting that they had some need to see me. They checked my current medications, told me the same things as the first follow up and charged me for it. They are the only game in …

  22. Just called to get my test results from my procedure. After two weeks my doctor still has not read the test. I was just told by his nurse “these things take time”. Time? Longer than two weeks? No way to run a practice at all!

  23. The absolute worst. I’d never return if I had any other option. It’s almost worth driving out of state to another provider. And that’s after only trying to make an appointment. There is no sense of urgency nor any amount of concern from anyone employed there. If I could give zero stars, I would.

  24. Friendly, very helpful. Answered question to the fullest. The PA Mr DeAcosta was great. Explain things that might be going with my body that I quite didnt understand. Staff very helpful. I was glad to make them smile with appreciation.

  25. Outstanding service from the time I entered the door! People with a servant heart and truly care. Anyone who gave a bad review needs to have themselves reviewed!! Great people and thank you for making an unpleasant experience as pleasent as possible.

  26. They Are Definitely A Wonderful Caring Team, Very Professional, Id Recommend This Place To Everyone. The Anthelogist Makes Sure Your Asleep And Drs Explain Everything In Detail Afterwards, Regarding Your Colestomy And Or Endescopy.

  27. I would like to say I had an experience at digestive health partners, but I couldn’t get scheduled. This is a very irresponsible way to run a medical practice.

  28. The staff was very nice and friendly. Dr Ryan took the time to make sure I understood everything he had told me, and made sure that I didn’t have any questions before I left the office.

  29. As always, but especially with CV19 lurking, they are as good as I can imagine. They are safe, organized and very nice. Dr. Dukowitz is very competent, thoughtful and friendly.

  30. My issues had gotten bad but the staff and Dr. Varner at their off in Brevard was excellent. The Dr and Staff made sure I was well taken care of and understanding all the testing that needed to be done.

  31. This was my first colonoscopy visit . It couldn’t have gone any better.
From the time I walked in the door til I left everyone was friendly and professional.
    Dr Meyers was wonderful.

  32. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received. Prompt, courteous, caring and efficient. They made an otherwise unpleasant procedure almost fun! I highly recommend their services!

  33. Prompt, professional, friendly and organized – a routine colonoscopy has never been more pleasant. The staff made me feel comfortable and confident. I highly recommend AGA.

  34. I have been waiting on my biopsy results since Dec 19. Learned this morning that they have been there since the 22nd- it is now Jan2- and no one bothered to look at them and inform me. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Dr Perez didn’t even introduce himself to me when he came in to do the procedure- I had never met him. No way to run a practice!

  35. This practice is TERRIBLE and it’s the only one in town. Hendersonville GI is soon to be absorbed by them. No follow-through from apt-apt: it’s like starting fresh each apt: an entire year has passed and I’m no further along with my …

  36. I have been a patient at Asheville Gastroenterology Associates for many years. They provide excellent care. I highly recommend Dr. Rodney Perez and his PA, Joe Decosta.

  37. Medical and administrative staff are excellent. My PA, Lauren, listened to my concerns and helped me to make an informed decision on my next colonoscopy.
    Good job by all!

  39. Everyone was friendly and thorough in their explanation of what to expect. It felt like a whirlwind experience, but the staff, nurse and Dr. Fisher made the experience as comfortable as possible.

I cannot recommend Asheville Gastro enough.

  43. Pre-visit instructions were very thorough and easy to follow. Check-in was very fast and efficient. All the staff that I came in contact with – Tracy, Grace, Jessica, and Dr. Dukowicz were very helpful and kind.

  44. I got a letter from them stating that it was time to schedule a colonoscopy. The letter said to call the “scheduler” Rene @ 407 4141. I did this several times over 3 weeks and never got through to a real person. I left 3 messages over …

  52. If you are needing an appointment, start calling weeks before you actually need one. I was due for a colonscopy in April 2018. I got a call a few weeks ago from a “Danny”. I had missed the call and tried to return it. Since then my issues …

  53. This place. Ugh. Don’t worry about telling the doctors what medicines make you crazy when getting an EGD (or any other procedure, probably). They will give you the drugs anyway and then treat you like crap while you’re having a reaction. …

  54. Excellent treatment, highly skilled professional team, making the “unpleasant“ as pleasant as possible. They called me at home after my procedure to follow up to ensure I was doing well.

  55. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I’ve been having extreme pain for over 6 months and finally booked an appointment. The provider I saw continued to text while I was explaining my pain to him and even used his phone to google a …

  57. I may have been lucky based upon some of the other reviews, however my visit and procedure by Dr. Dukowicz could not have went smoother. He was very caring and compassionate regarding my concerns because I have a very complex surgical history.

  58. Bad, Bad, Bad. My wife had a Colonoscopy here and she woke up halfway through the procedure in great pain. We were told that they did not give her the correct amount of sedative to keep her asleep. They also said the reason for her bad …

  61. Dr. Charles Schrode found my cancer 2 years ago. I cannot say enough good things about him and the fact that he saved my life!! I will continue to go back to him as long as he stays in the area!!!! I highly recommend him!

  62. Dr Shrode was very caring and thorough. He requested a bowel specimen, the nurse told me to drop it off at the front desk. The receptionist said she didn’t touch it and printed a sheet off for me to take to the lab. It was in a plastic bag you furnish. I was a little embarrassed.
