Nice receptionist, but outrageous price to pay for electric. It’s very unfortunate there is no competitive electric company in the area. They came to lie, cheat, and steal from the poor folks that have no choice but to use their services. God help us all.

We’ve run into hard time in past and they’ll work with you as long as you communicate with them and don’t wait till last minute. We also had them send a trimming service to clear branches from around our high line and they were awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable.
They’re always shutting off power whenever they please. Today I lost 40$ in meat because it was smoking at home and sure enough for the third day in a row they flashed the power without warning. Now I’m sitting on 15lbs of rotting meat.

They charge a meter fee to keep the cost per kW hr artificially low and will not pay for the clean power I redistribute back to the power grid…I can’t wait until I move or go 100% off grid!! Powers been out since 4:45 am…. Yet I see newly effected, recent outages, repaired first, before mine. What? The farthest north customer gets screwed? NO SURPRISE… First reported should be first repaired.
ECE is pretty darned reliable in my book. Storms come and a tree falls on lines and that caused the outage. They are prompt when this happens. Keep your trees away from their lines, is the answer. anyway, keep up the nice work, ECE. 60 cycles rules!
A few years ago, ECE raised their ‘cost of basic service’ from under $20 per month to $30.25. That is approximately a 57% increase. I called and asked how their expenses to keep up their lines, transformers, etc. could go up that much …

They work very hard to give us options for electric usage, and provide very useful tools for monitoring usage. Much better than my previous utilities.
