Emerson Hospital Reviews ( 150 )

  1. It’s inexcusable to charge visitors money to visit their sick or dying relatives. Shows me everything I need to know about the organization itself.

  2. the staff at the wound and specialty care, are great very caring and very professional i went there for a second opinion and they were very specific about what they were going to do and within a month my wound was taken care of and how to …

  3. This is the second time when I was disappointed with this hospital. My follow up appointment was booked not with the doctor but with the nurse practitioner and I did not even know that. I didn’t have the referral for that which was unconvenient.

  4. Terrible. Wish I could give 0 stars. Was in ER for psychiatric issues and the staff laughed and yelled at me. Unprofessional, more harmful, and mean. Dirty hospital.

  5. I wasn’t looking to go to Emerson Hospital but went over the handlebars on my bicycle somewhere in Concord and so spent some time in the ER before being transferred to Mass General. I thought the care there was excellent.

  6. This hospital’s pricing was outrageously high. My wife did a CT scan and was charged nearly $3,000 whereas the same scan would only cost $400 in an independent imaging center. I would never go there again. The health care system is corrupt!!!

  7. I was refused not refuse sorry I was ignored service at your facility Sunday in the emergency room had to have my wife drive me to a completely different hospital unbelievable as the lady was on her cell phone for 10 minutes as I stood …

  8. my mother in law was sent to ER and had terrible experience with a “Dr. Greene”. Cruel and unprofessional. Beware of Dr. Greene. We complained to head of ER physician, but he just covered for her. Guess we know who runs that show.

  9. While Emerson is a good hospital if you don’t have any significant medical problems, a hospital in Boston is better. I went to Emerson when I lived in Concord for many years then went to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where I received comprehensive care, unlike anything Emerson can offer.

  10. Just got yelled at by nurse Melanie for asking for some ice chips for my wife to suck on after she’s been lying here in the ER for over two hours – first visit by nurse who has no knowledge of her medical history or that patient had been …

  11. After having gone to the Emerson “NOT REALLY AN” Urgent Care facility, I was told I needed to go to the Emerson ER. All-in-all, I get to pay roughly $1000 for no-diagnosis, bad service, PLUS a rash I didn’t have going into the Emerson …

  12. Best hospital I have been too so far. I went to Leanord Morse, Milford Regional, Newton Wellesley and Framingham…. but this one really delivers. Quick to be seen, doctors aren’t playing angry birds while you are waiting like in some …

  13. Have delivered 3 children here, as well as used emergency services for them over the last 3 years. I’ve never found a better hospital in the last 10 years and 4 states we’ve lived in. Perfectly thrilled with the quality of care from Emerson, every time.

  14. Even though the er was packed and they were short staffed the nurses, doctors, pcts and even the workers collecting the trash were wonderful. Everyone was so caring and put me at ease.

  15. Worst ER I have ever been to. Don’t come here. We wait and wait and the staff is rude. It takes hours to get anything done. Just find a place that is more up to date than this run down hospital and ER.

  16. This place went downhill. A decade ago, service was stellar. Today? Negatory, nada, zip, zilch. The service is subpar, basics cant even be met. They lost a very important notation on my file articulating airway stenosis that I experience, …

  17. I can’t breathe. Shortness of breath. I came into the ER 2-3 hours ago. What in the world? It’s freezing in the room and they had me take my shirt off and put a thin apron on as cold air blasts about. Is this place even legal?

  18. Very broken billing and insurance departments. I start seeing a good PT person at the Concord location – after several visits and no copay I inquired with the front desk staff. Ends up someone entered my insurance ID incorrectly, my …

  25. Extremely rude and unprofessional receptionists.
No one showed up at the reception for more than 20 minutes. They delayed my appointment time by 1.5hrs without even informing me about that. Never going to go there again.

  26. Care was good in the ER. Very competent Drs and nursing staff. They kept me in the hospital overnight for observation of chest pains and put me in a double room. The nurse came in and asked if I had had the pneumonia vaccine.I said No and …

  27. Not sure about the negative reviews. My wait at er was not long, about 1.5 hours which for an er is great. Especially compared to ers of the south where 6 hours in you start to think maybe you should’ve just fixed your broken leg at home. …

  32. Sat in the waiting room with a friend for FIVE hours. For 3 of those hours, I listened to a man in excruciating pain. 3 hours. Finally, the poor guy just collapsed on the floor. Where he stayed for another hour. Nurse walked by him 2 or 3 times and never even checked on him Talk about inhumane. Jesus.

  33. Went in for emergency, needing urgent surgery & received such high quality care! It’s a very clean, comfortable facility. Each & every medical team member I encountered was knowledgeable, kind & personable.

  34. The best hospital I have been too. The staff were wonderful! Dr Laust was amazing. Shout out to Emma, Jess, Christine, Delaney, Micheal the PA, Mya, Karen and Jess. There are so much more but I didn’t get some names. The female PA was very professional to a patient that was nasty. I highly recommend this hospital.

  66. This is the closest hospital to our house, so even if they were awful we’d still probably end up going here because of where it’s located. Thankfully they’re not. 70. I was very disappointed with the treatment the front desk gave my daughter making her wait and making her feel not welcome when she mentioned that her throat was itchy I understand that we all have to be cautious about covid. but they should have more training on how to treat a patient without making them feel unwelcome.

  71. I recently had my first ever surgery ever at this hospital, and I was absolutely terrified. I was about ready to run out of there! Thankfully, the staff reassured me and helped quell my nerves.
