Absolutely horrible. The staff needs to be trained on whether you can or can’t wait while someone else is in for testing. Seems like the rules change every other day and the reception desk picks and chooses when. Incompetent STAFF! Worst Hospital in New England!

The emergency room was excellent. They were fast professional and polite. The room was modern and clean and the doctor was professional and totally reasonable. Staff have been kind but think their hands are tied- got here at 12:30 and have seen no doc and it’s 6:22. They appease you with X-rays but then you just sit. Clearly understaffed. Hope to avoid coming here again!

Patient Beware! This hospital continues to use ambulatory transport services that are not covered (Out of Network) by major medical health insurance (BCBS). I suspect the reason they contract with Stewart’s Ambulance is because they favor …
My mother was just released from the ICU and PCU units at Exeter Hospital after major surgery. I cannot comment enough on the outstanding care and concern the entire staff in the ICU and PCU units gave to her. They were patient, …
To my overnight nurse Becca. You have definitely chosen the correct path for you. Between kidney stones and anxiety you had your hands full with me. Of course the medicine helps but the fact that you stayed and let me talk meant more than …
Having had several surgical procedures in other hospitals and my last surgery at MGH I wasn’t sure how Exeter Hospital would compare. It was chosen for it’s fine orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Tom McGovern, who replaced my hip. In short I couldn’t …
Today my daughter was scheduled for her surgery. We have done all the prep, appointments, testing, civic test and quarantine. I have already attended this facility and they require mask. I explained that I am allergic to there mask and that …
Worse Emergency room department ever, I wish something would be done about them….they are a disgrace to the Medical field.
I had foot surgery and could not have had a better experience. Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly, especially the nurse assigned to keep me informed on everything. My doctor, anesthesiologist, and others staff were so helpful and kind. Amazing experience.
Please stay away!

Their “covid” policy about not having even 1 family member able to come into the ER with you is a bunch of bull. We were in a situation where I needed to be in the ER with a family member and was not allowed. The staff was so incredibly …
I was there yesterday for a Colonoscopy the staff were awesome, but having Anxiety issues and a huge fear of needles they do not give you the lidocaine shot to numb your hand or arm before putting in the IV. It took the 3rd nurse to do it …
Absolutely horrible. The staff needs to be trained on whether you can or can’t wait while someone else is in for testing. Seems like the rules change every other day and the reception desk picks and chooses when. Incompetent STAFF! Worst Hospital in New England!
Terrible hospital. I have several complex medic issues, a couple of them are chronic that turn into acute flares every so often. Those acute flares must be treated in a hospital. My husband just moved us here from MA recently, and I knew …
Awful hospital. Awful experiences every time. Had a doctor that had no idea what she was doing when I was in labor. Tried to break my water.. “I think I did not right”… …
Would give them a zero if I could. Drove all the way to my appointment in the snow for them not to let me in because I had my daughter with me. They said they had a strict no children under 18 policy. What are single parents supposed to do? Absolute garbage. Thank you for the waste of time Exeter Hospital.
I went into the hospital Friday 4 a.m. to discover my gallbladder was in serious need of removal. The team in the ER were fabulous the doctors even better Dr Weeds and Dr Wright could not have been more personable and exceedingly …

After several outpatient surgeries and a few ER visits here over the years, I can with confidence say this is the best hospital on the seacoast. We moved to Dover a year ago and now drive to Exeter if we need the hospital due to bad …
My experience at Exeter hospital was absolutely awful. The nurse that stitches my fingers stitches it way to tight and when I had to get them taken out she took a scalpel to my fingers without even numbing or anything. Never again with I go …
I know a few of very best doctors at Core..Dr. Michael, Dr. Patricia, Dr. Donnell, Dr. Gabrielle Phenauff, Dr. Wu…Amy Robinson….amd many more…. They are immensely hard working people….
We have always been very happy with Exeter Hospital for over 40 years. But this time we went to the ER and my wife was never examined by an MD only a PA. Even though she has been here before with the same condition this time she was sent …
This is not a criticism of the doctors but their one size fits all policy of one person per patient without regards to the situation. This is July and I have been dealing with this since April and this concerns the patient (90) their spouse …
I have never been a big fan of hospitals and was especially skeptical staying at one unexpectedly during a pandemic because you had to stay alone. I can confidently say that I encountered at least 30 staff members (mostly nurses) and EVERY …
My wife and I have both received excellent care in multiple departments at Exeter Hospital; every aspect of the experience has been pleasant – staff are consistently friendly, efficient, caring, and very good at their jobs. Facilities are very nice. Highly recommend!

Went in with Covid. I was treated so kindly and professionally by the entire staff. Hospitalized for 11 days. These people took good care of me. 4th floor staff carerd for me and made sure I was ok during breathing meltdowns. I am forever grateful.

I was scheduled for a 9:30 AM blood draw at oncology hematology. I arrived at the waiting room and signed in at 9:21. Within 5 minutes, the room was filled with 10 – 12 patients waiting in the room, with no social distancing. Each seat …
The emergency room was excellent. They were fast professional and polite. The room was modern and clean and the doctor was professional and totally reasonable. Everyone needs to understand that an ER visit on average should take 4-5 hours and adjust their expectations accordingly. This place was great.
I went to the Emergency Dept. a few days ago around 5am since I was having difficulty breathing from a bad cold and couldn’t get my breath. The staff from Registration to Clinical were professional, caring & friendly. I have never met a …
Would prefer no star. Horrible experience I was so sick and there was absolutely no compassion from the time I arrived with the triage nurse and especially the Doctor on call. I will never go back. I haven’t been here in many years but …
Excellent outpatient surgical facility. All nursing & anesthesia staff were friendly and patient as they explained every step and answered all questions. Everyone made sure I was comfortable. They are all genuinely nice people who do their job well. I travelled from out of state to see a specific surgeon here and I was not disappointed.
I was at Exeter Hospital for a colonoscopy/endoscopy today, and would like to share this review. Everything was done in a high-quality manner, from check-in to check-out, and everything in-between. Thoroughly professional – organized, …

I had to get some blood work done after seeing my Cardiologist, So I went in. Everything was fine until the Phlebotomist left the needle open on the table before putting it in my arm. It doesn’t stop there. She couldn’t get it so she gets …

My wife went with our 9 month old by ambulance. Possible seizure. They were SLOW, didn’t come to the room to check on them. Then with very little testing, no doctor came in to discuss results. Discharged into the waiting room with a 9 …
Currently in the ER for 7 hrs. Haven’t seen anyone since CTscan 4 1/2 hours ago. I know they are short staffed, but my husband is in pain. Next time I guess we travel to be seen. Not having a stellar experience.
I recently had laparoscopic hernia repair by Dr. Mary Fudge at Core Surgery, and was really impressed by the professionalism of the entire staff. I give them all 5 stars.
Exeter Hospital is one of the two hospitals I have been to since moving from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. Very happy with the care I’ve been receiving from them. The Doctors and Nurses are all wonderful and the staff is excellent.

Respectful and friendly doctors, nurses; staff all through out. Orthopedic surgeon is amazing at what she does and always listens to any concern you have. The fusion center is always welcoming and taken care of you in a comfortable atmosphere. Thank you for this experience.
Worst hospital ever. EVER. If there was a zero I would give it unless of course I wanted to kill my loved one, then I would give them 5 stars. …
Staff have been kind but think their hands are tied- got here at 12:30 and have seen no doc and it’s 6:22. They appease you with X-rays but then you just sit. Clearly understaffed. Hope to avoid coming here again!
I would put 0 stars if I could, second time in this emergency room and it was even worse, I could hear the nurses and security guards laughing while I was crying and throwing up and they told me they were just “joking around” meanwhile …
It’s 6 PM. Arrived by ambulance at one. My husband’s speech is slurred and he can’t balance. Nobody has even looked at him yet. This place is awful. And the staff isn’t very nice or helpful. I’m disgusted by Exeter Hospital.

I had surgery Dec 1,2022 and I have to say Exeter Hospital treated me with nothing but kindness very caring professional people and I had one of the best surgeons ever which was Dr.Jay Switt and his office and all his staff was awesome ❤️❤️❤️
The wound center staff is amazing! My had to take my daughter there for a surgical wound that wouldn’t heal and they were so great with us and got her all healed up!
Unless you are dying, go and drive away, preferably to a Boston Area Hospital. On a Thursday night, with one doctor for the whole emergency area, had to wait with a DVT to be treated because they were “overwhelmed” with probably 10 people …
I was told that the ED is only for real emergencies ie.. heart attacks, car wrecks etc. not for pain in my lower stomach. Not only did they tell me to drink water for a ultrasound. They took a urine sample first. And this was the second …
