Firgrove Mutual Water Company (WA) Reviews ( 54 )

  1. Water shut off for being only two weeks late to pay the bill. Three kids in the house. What a rotten deal. And no online pay option. Two thumbs down folks.

  2. It’s just ironic that every year in September and November our bill is tripled. They insist we have a leak every time but it’s funny this leak just magically disappears all the other months. A $50 bill to $165 for TWO peoples is absolutely insane.

  3. Great customer service I’m currently waiting on the management to tell me if they think their bylaws and contracts supercede Federal Ada laws in regards to billing disabled people for other people’s account balances.

  4. We are in the 21st Century People!! Seriously, no online bill pay, no debit cards, no credit cards. has to be cash or check in the office (they will tell you not to use the drop off box as it is not secure!!!!) …

  5. These guys need to get with times and get with the program!! Seriously every company has electronic bill paying options. You guys are stuck in 1996 how in heck can you guys be in charge let alone operate in the “out of date” fashion in which you conduct your business?!?

  6. Worst company I’ve ever delt with. Scam artists who insist you need to have a leak that doesn’t exist to fix ridiculous charges. Receptionists are cold hearted, but I assume they’d have to be in order to rip people off like this.

  7. Pathetic. No c/cards, bad attitudes (in-so-much) they installed bullet proof glass. Open early, closed early. It’s the water company, be real. Horrible access, no parking, you can’t miss their trucks at the local tavern, parking lot at the library. Good people.

  8. The reason for the one star review is they are extremely outdated. You cannot make payments online and they do not do budget billing. I’ve never had a utility company where I could not do both of these.

  9. stuck in the 80s. No convenient bill pay options. No over the phone options even. You have to go into the office, which unless you work close by, or are on graves or something, good luck getting to before closing. You can do a bank draft …

  10. Excellent customer service and perfect policies in place… With ease they allowed me to make payment arrangements…and then when I wasn’t able to pull off getting even half of the money I owed them on that already overly generous …

  11. Initial experience with Customer Service to input my name as the payor (one who pays) on behalf of an intermediary that is holding property title while deed is being processed to self. It seemed that the individual had a difficult time …

  12. We’ve had nothing but a positive experience with Firgove Mutual. It’s also convenient that they are really close to us. I’m not sure what other reviewers mean about having to pay cash or check, we have automatic payments come out of our checking account.

  13. The water here is so toxic I refuse to bath my kids in it! I was a swimmer for 14 years and there is a reason we take showers after we get out of the pool. Chlorine’s is NOT a safe way to purify water! Our pond in front of the apartments has bubbles!!! This is unacceptable

  14. Called this morning about discolored water ,was told they had a water main break . Also to boil our water. Nothing since… is it safe to drink?? They should post on the website so customers know what to do.

  15. These guys just shut off my water because of my landlords bill! I just had to pay nearly $300 to turn the water back on for my family including 4 children for what wasn’t even my bill! Gave me a receipt with 2 households addresses that …

  16. I just wish their website had more up-to-date info. I didn’t know I had to drop off to pay my bill until I showed up to the office and saw they were closed. Especially not cool since they don’t have an online payment process.

  17. Really milking that “office closed due to the pandemic” for the past 1 year to make it as difficult as possible to have contact with anyone except over phone and email. 21st century called and is laughing at the website set up and lack of easily accessible online bill pay.

  18. Both of the ladies working the front counter at 1:30pm September 26th, 2018 were very unhelpful. I asked to speak with someone higher up and was told that I could speak with Larry Johnson, they then said that they can’t have the public …

  19. Service is decent as far as a water company goes. However extremely inconvenient when it comes to paying the bill. A vast majority of people don’t get checks from their bank and to have to make time to come in when you work during the day or to risk sending money in the mail is just ridiculous.

  20. By far the WORST water company I’ve ever had to deal with. You have to pay in person, they do not offer online or over the phone payments and they close at 4 pm. Even if you go down in person you can not pay with card. Most people work …

  21. I’d hate to leave a negative review but I have left multiple notes along with my “late payments” that they update their payment system and in how they notify customers of their bills. Twice now, as of writing this review, the paper bills …

  22. I stopped by to drop off a form recently and was met by one of the rudest people i have ever met. I waited patiently for her to finish up her phone call and wanted to ask a couple questions regarding the paperwork but was immediately cut …

  23. Wish I could leave zero stars. Because the company that owns my rental decided to not answer calls about a previous tenant’s bill, my water is about to be shut off. …

  24. Every 2 months, I make the unnecessary trek to pay my bill in person to drop in their after hours drop box because this company decided not to get with the times to offer online bill payment. They can’t even offer a return envelope so I can mail the payment.

  25. No options for ebilling; I swear they don’t mail statements have the time I have no problem receiving other bills in the mail. Payment have to be made by check, in cash in person or setup online through the bank. Hours are unreasonable for …

  26. Wish there was another utility option, no credit or debit card payments are possible, very inconvenient, I would gladly pay a fee to make my payment online with a credit card instead of dealing with the hassle of paying with cash in person. …

  27. It is not convenient for me to make payments by phone or even online. It sucks I actually have to go in and pay the water bill in the office. It’s funny how they can put no effort into making it more convenient for their customers. It’s …

  28. Very inconvenient bill paying methods and because of the virus, they are closed to the public. They have a glass barrier that protects them which is a lot more than the essential employees on the frontline have, so I don’t understand why …

  29. I really don’t like giving negative reviews, but this company actually has me considering starting my own water utility company due to the fact of how bad they are at literally everything. …

  30. No online payment options and their office hours are “conveniently” the same hours I work, only Mon-Fri. So I would have to either order and maintain checks for just this one purpose or I get to take time off work to drive my happy butt to make a payment. C’mon, it’s 2022 people. Get with the times

  31. No online payments or auto pay options makes this company take advantage of the fees they love to tack on. It’s a shame they are still around and there isn’t any other options.

  32. Today Firgrove made an estimated $9,400 in door hanging fees alone, according to the 470 red tags that went out yesterday. In the process of moving and our bill got lost in translation. They hung it yesterday right before 4pm and ironically …

  33. Larry Johnson may need a reminder who he answers to. Firgrive Water Company, started by Frank Balou, is set up as a MUTUAL which means all.of us are the owners and there for technically the boss. Larry Johnson and company are hired by us to …

  34. Just got off a call with a lovely (read: sarcasm) customer service agent. I used to work in customer service so I am always as friendly as possible (I know it can be a hard and thankless job). However, not only did she sound irritated with …

  35. No online bill pay in 2022. I could start an online store TODAY and be able to take online payments. Heck give me a Venmo option even. Plus the water is atrocious here. High in chlorine. I lived in King County and drank from the tap until moving here to Puyallup. Gotta filter everything.

  36. If I could give zero stars I would. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER BEEN FORCED TO DEAL WITH. No way to pay a bill online, so I’m forced to mail a check snail mail and be at the mercy of the god awful USPS. …

  37. I thought it was strange that Firgrove got only 2 stars but I see now that 2 stars is actually generous. I will receive my bill with less than 3 days to pay it on time. Which means if I’m out of town for work I’ll never see it in time. …
