Went for a colonoscopy screening. Care by nurses was good, Dr was OK. However, I soon received a bill for over $17,000! For a routine screening. Insurance paid some, but I am now fighting a medical bill that is more than what a colonoscopy should cost in the first place. Ruidoso hospital will be where I go from now on.

Probably the worst hospital I have ever had to deal with. The front desk staff in the ER is always rude and any time you speak with someone on the phone they are also extremely rude and unhelpful. Don’t even contact billing, they are miserable. Will happily drive to Las Cruces or El Paso for care.
This hospital has continuously failed on many occasions. From giving unsafe and incorrect information per every other major health organization, to billing veterans instead of the VA, saying bills weren’t paid when they were and harassing people after proof was given, and so much more. It’s frankly pathetic.
Exam room 15 in Emergency Room right now. 18 year old suicidal and absolutely no help or communication. Psych came down at 830 am when we got here. We explained that we needed help and every one was kind. Now it’s 3:30 pm and nothing. My daughter feels she has to commit suicide to get help.
