  1. GVEA sent out notices that their payment system changed and everyone needs to update their credit card info. I have left 5 messages at GVEA over the last 2 weeks to update. No call back, no one ever answers. What is wrong with this company?

  2. Power flickers in the summer. Power flickers in the winter. Sometimes power goes out and stays out for hours. Call to report outage and the phone rings and call drops.

  3. Power outages all the time. This company is also very greedy and since it’s the only electric company you have to put up with it. I hate this company.

  4. Don’t answer your phone when they call I am personally blocking all of their numbers so they can’t charge me $32 for giving me a phone call. Being scam the state of Alaska has ever allowed.

  5. They don’t answer their phone at all. I’ve called 5 times to five different options on the automated voice thing got one answer only to be in the wrong department and transferred to a voice mail to the “right” one. This is not the first time either.

  6. If I could give GVEA ZERO STARS , I would’ve! Employee members very unprofessional! I don’t know who trains these people but something clearly needs to be done to better customer service.

  8. weird how when I move out of the house and turn everything off, unplug every all of the appliances and only have a boiler running my bill is still 200+ a month. No I don’t want to round up for someone else, I do not trust you to make the donation for me.

  9. Horrible company, 0/5 if I could. Not only will they knock over your trash cans and not clean it up but they also apparently dont know a tree from a door handle when delivering notices. Wish I had better options.

  11. Terrible service. 240 dollar deposit and 10 dollar “records fee” if you have less than a 700 credit score. Atrocious customer service, rude, you have to repeat yourself constantly and when you ask for explanations on anything they give vague answers. “Well it could be a lot of things” would not recommend but the monopoly is theirs.

  20. Excellent service at their office. Really appreciate their outage reporting maps so I know they know about an outage and have crews working on the outages.
