  14. “Capitalizing” student loan interest without warning is an intentional money grab and should be illegal. It’s intentionally designed to prevent students from even getting out from under these loans.

  15. Never use this company for anything. Never use them youve been warned. Terrible customer service and terrible business on their end. They will report you late even when payments are paid on time because system is faulty. Will be filing a lawsuit against these theifs.

  19. I have relied on Granite State for years to keep me on track with affordable payments on my massive student loan debt. Any confusion I experience on the website is always quickly cleared up by a phone call to their friendly, helpful staff.

  20. I sent a very nice and respectful goodwill letter asking for partial forgiveness of a late payment and they said there was nothing they could do and gave me an unsolicited lecture (that I acknowledged) in my letter.

  21. Complete scum bags. Loans for students to get an education and they raise your interest rate every month even if you pay on time.
