Greater Baltimore Medical Center Reviews ( 250 )

  1. How the hell are you supposed to find anything when you are looking for numbers and everything is named after flowers???? Then of course, the Dr can’t see me bc I can’t translate flowers into numbers.

  2. Still don’t known about the priority partner insurance that this hospital approved. ….they refused to pay for $35 medication when I was really got sick….seriously I don’t get it

  3. I was grossly neglected, physically/mentally abused, and my safety was NEVER guaranteed/maintained resulting in serious injury. GBMC is “sorry”. Yes, GBMC. You ARE sorry.

  4. Very bad information system. Information is not shared by different departments. You can’t find the phone numbers on the websites. No test results can be found online.

  5. The only good about this hospital is the food and the surgeons… The staff is very negligent and untrained they consistently violate privacy policies and I am constantly mistreated here I will not be using this hospital ever again!!!

  6. I currently am sitting in the room frustrated because nobody here is doing there job , they have many people doing as good as nothing they have people doing whatever they want , they are just very unprofessional ill never come here a day in my life if it wasnt for my family i would be in here fighting!

  7. The sherwood surgical center is amazing!!!! My son was here today for surgery and they made this process so much easier for our entire family…the entire staff was so friendly😆 THANK YOU …

  8. I have to say that Gbmc is my hospital, All my doctors are there, And the ER doctor’s and nurses are very very nice, I have never had a bad experience with this hospital and ER .

  9. The only hospital I will want to go to if I get a choice. I have been here for several reasons and the care was personal and incredible every time. Especially the OB and birthing care.

  10. I was there all day yesterday and they helped me out a lot I had strep throat and I went to urgent care and they said I did not have steep throat and when I went to gbmc I had strep throat and I had absuces in my tonsenels

  11. Was seen in 2 separate departments on the same day. Neither department would treat me as I am a cigarette smoker. They discriminate against smokers so if you are a smoker BEWARE.

  12. I’ve been to this hospital twice and was treated very poorly and waited 6 hours just be sent home, and the second time I left because after being in a bad car accident I wasn’t taken seriously, the nurses and check in staff were rude, and I was left in a waiting room in pain and disoriented

  13. They left my husband by the door who have medical condition and broken foot. He blacked out often they refuse to give him test result and refuse to get him social service and refuse to help fill out his part work for admitting him at rehab what kinds a hospital is this

  14. My father passed away and they threw away his belongings because I didn’t come fast enough to pick them up. There was money in his wallet and I’m sure that was kept by someone. Shows me just what kind people work at hospitals. Don’t tell me they’re Saints!

  15. Soon to be dads: Bring a sweatshirt during childbirth! The nurses say “All dads are cold” because the way the HVAC delivers cold air….right on your head.

  16. My wife had an amputation , after the amputation three days later the staff let her fall while taking a shower don’t see if leg was damage in any way give her pain medication that put her to sleep and discharge her with out informing me or …

  17. tortured daily thinking about the horrible care of my mother received while undergoing having neck surgery then mrsa then mets to lung and a horrible way to start acts when you try to question or ask a question or get better care you people are absolutely horrible

  18. “Please do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Vijay Adimoolam. I came in for my consulation and he assured me it was a routine procedure and would be billed as such because I could not afford any medical bills. He decided to change the billing …

  19. Friendly, fast, accurate service. Will never go back to Carroll County Hospital.
Will be going to GBMC for all my future needs and referring everyone I know. Did I mention the staff I had was amazing!

  20. Worst experience girlfriend was stuck in there for 5 hours had trouble breathing they took her back to get xrays and test done never put her in a room she complained twice about her not being able to breath still did nothing then discharged …

  21. If I could give 0 stars I would the nurse and doctor were the worst by far I was really questioned for coming here which was baffling the technician treated me better then both the nurse and doctor… never again! That’s all I can say.

  22. Having a head injury and uncontrollable migraines I am in the ER more then I would like to be.. but there is a DR Williams that works nights that is the Nicest Doc that I have ever met he talks to you like a person and dose not judge you.. …

  23. The WORST hospital experience EVER!!! Because of the lack of knowledge of Dr. Barwick in the Emergency Room, I am stuck to pay for a medical bill because of incorrect coding on their behalf. Please go to any other emergency room if you are able to. I would not want anyone in my position.

  24. 5 Stars just to say THANK YOU GBMC
For getting rid of those Booths when you enter!!!!
I was pleasantly surprised yesterday after visiting my Oncologist and this time …

  25. You call my home and leave a message to call. I call and it’s for a bill for another family member. You refuse to actually admit there’s a bill not paid…because of HIPAA ..OK. You want to get paid? SEND the F…n bill through the mail!!! Oh…and don’t CALL me again because it’s MY phone!!!! What a bunch of jackwagons!!!

  26. The internal medicine office does not care if you are in pain for YEARS if you are under the age of 40 they do anything possible to give you crappy medications they know suck. They are more concerned about their licenses then their patients …

  27. Excellent health care and the staff is very professional. The only problem I had with my stay here was the food. The smell alone made me extremely nauseous. I begged my family to bring me food from home or a carry out.

  28. Worst experience. Staff works like snails. Been waiting in the ER for 4 hrs and counting. Only reason im still wanting here is because my doctor told me it was very critical to be seen but obviously not critical enough to the ER staff. Ugh. And the registration nurse was rude

  29. The emergency room is the WORST my 3 month old is vomiting I’ve been here since 9pm and we are still waiting to be seen its now 2:18a.m. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. No one comes out to said anything to you they just leave you there for dead…

  30. The doctor and the staff at this facility were rude, and had no compassion for my family member! They could care less about patients. The quality of service was unacceptable! I hope to never have to go there ever again.

  31. Terrible visit. Sat in the ER for five hours with extreme abdominal pain, just to be brought into a room and told there was nothing they’d do to help. The whole time the staff was terribly rude and condescending, worst hospital experience I’ve ever had

  32. Avoid GBMC in everyway you can!  Go to St. Joseph’s, Hopkins, Mercy Hospital…anywhere else.  At GBMC, someone has lied in every single office I’ve dealt with.  The medical staff failed to follow-up.  The Business Office refused to do …

  33. Even with a referral Dr. Beckman refused to see me. I was told by her staff that she does not help diagnose diseases that could be diagnosed by my primary care physicans and that i have to go back to the doctor that referred me to her …

  34. A family member has been in an out of the hospital for a few years now. Unless you know where you are going the hallways are a confusing deserted maze. Most of the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Parking always costs money, and you have to walk kind of far from the garage to the hospital.

  35. I absolutely love Labor & Delivery! Would def. delivery there again “IF” I decided to have another child, however, the newborn photographer sucked. She was having a bad day- apparently her co-worker called out and she was overwhelmed. Her attitude was a bit much. Fortunately, the photos turned out okay 🙂

  36. My friend went to this hospital ER with breathing problems and chest pains they made him wait 7 hours before he was seen. Once the staff got him to the back, the nurse ask him why did he wait so long to come to the hospital. WOW really! …

  37. Definitely NOT LGBT friendly. Not to mention, after spending 3 hrs in their waiting room, struggling to breathe, I wasn’t even close to getting a room. In fact, I had TWICE as many people in front of me in their queue.

  38. I was seeing in the ER back in March and it was the best doctors and nurses there was they took real good care of them and they made me feel comfortable it also brought back good memory cuz I was born there

  39. I have been with GBMC for a year now. I have several different physicians & I have had wonderful experiences with the care teams. I am very pleased, the offices are clean, staff are caring & accommodating.

  40. Was trying to make an appointment with a GI doctor was literally on hold for 25 minutes, so I hung up and retried calling in case it was an oversight. Again I was on hold for 15 minutes just to set up an appointment. Since there is such a high volume of calls, you may want to hire more receptionists to schedule appointments.

  41. Wonderful. I received excellent care from doctors, nurses and all of the technicians. They gave me real TLC and treated me to a truly first rate experience. Forever grateful to all who took care of me @ GBMC.

  42. Recently had to make a visit to the GBMC emergency room. Staff was great and quick. Hopefully I don’t need to return to a hospital but if do need to I’ll return to GBMC in Towson.

  43. Very disappointed by the service that was given at this hospital. The wait to be seen was too long and the quality of service of was very minimum. I felt that the nurses and doctors weren’t really listening but were more interested in …

  44. Bad experience, while in hospital, someone broke my glasses, and went in my purse. She took credit card, etc, while I had been taken for a ct scan. What makes me mad is that I asked the nurse to get my purse, and she said it will be alright …

  45. Can’t for the life of me figure out why GBMC’s ER sent my sister in law home with a walker and one crutch when she has a broken left wrist and a broken right ankle. How in the world is she supposed to get around with those injuries? Unbelievably bad of a hospital to send someone home this way that lives alone.

  46. A great experience in the hospital stay. But one of the worst experience dealing with the billing department. Being a physician I know the system, and you would think that the billing department would be patient enough to listen to what you are saying. Rude, interrupted frequently.

  47. I delivered both of my children at this hospital and I can’t recommend it enough. Each stay was such a great experience. The staff is excellent and the nurses are Angels. My only complaint is that the food wasn’t very good.

  48. If you want pain meds and your pain to be masked and your medical needs ignored so they can send you home and misdiagnose you, come here! If you want real help with people who actually care, drive right down the road to St. Joes. Yesterday …

  49. Labor and delivery was awesome!!! Wish I had both my children there. And my gyn. rocks!!! She down to earth compassionate and makes me feel comfortable to ask all and any questions I may have. Love this hospital!!!!

  50. This place has definitely gone down over the years, before you could be in and out within a couple hours. Today I sat for almost 4 hours with an iv and ekg stickers stuck all over me. I told them I was feeling faint and my blood pressure …

  51. Gave a one star review. But had to change after thinking of how the COMP program took care of me and the compassion Dr. Khouzami had with me after giving birth. Although I had a lot of bad experiences and the bad outweighs the good, still, I can’t forget the good

  55. I used to think this was a good Hospital until I was seen Wednesday and discharged with gallstones. When they discharged me I was light headed and vomiting and was told the surgeon would not operate on me. I can’t eat and if I do I can’t keep food down. I would give it a zero for my emergency room visit.

  56. Was stuck there for 5 days. Food is surprisingly decent for a hospital. Nurses were great, smiling, and as attentive as they could be with their patient load. If I had to be stuck in a hospital again, please let it be at GBMC.

  57. My experience was excellent!!! I arrived 1/4/18 wee hours in the am by car, I was registered and seen immediately. There was no crowded lobby and I received immediate care right away. Every staff member that I came in contact with were …

  59. Horrible hospital experience. Negligence and or malpractice may happen if you don’t demand care. Please have someone there with you as they will take advantage of you if you are not competent. 9 times out of 10 you aren’t. I was definitely neglected and malpractice can be argued as a case.

  60. First, I have never known labor and delivery to have visiting hours, but have 24hr access. Second never known not to be able to visit as clergy. Third, the main lobby attendant sent me to labor delivery and on my way out I asked why did …

  61. I’ll try to be as pleasant as possible. Took my nursing wife to the ER this Sunday morning January 29, 2017 because i couldn’t see my wife in so much pain and agony for two more days until she sees her doctor on Tuesday the 31st, of …

  62. The front staff at the emergency room are the worst people, they have no compassion towards family members who are aware because of covid 19 , they are completely unprofessional, arrogant, ignorant people. If they hate their job so much why have that type of job position, they need to do a clean up of the entire front staff

  135. By far the worst ‘health’ care place I’ve ever encountered. Canceled appointments with no communication, nearly impossible to communicate to someone on the phone, doctors and NPs leave constantly. Go to a more professional and less corporate place.
