Hampstead Hospital Reviews ( 60 )

  1. Not the best place to look for a job. I applied for a job, I did and passed the interview with 3 people. They kept telling me that they were working on my pay. I asked a couple of times via email and phone calls regarding my application status without any response.

  2. This place is very helpful ingot the help I needed from here, yet some of the staff were very impolite but that’s because of some kids that were trouble makers. Anyway I love this place and I kinda miss it too.

  7. i miss redd, please come back i’m in hampstead near sunset lake :3 thank you H.H. for letting me meet redd at the lincoln unit! i was there from june 15 to june 30

  8. Scamful, deceitful, unknowledgable, and incompassionate. I wouldn’t even bring a dog here to euthanize it. If you want to be lied to, overcharged, illegally billed for medical services not administered, then this is the place for you.

  9. Make sure the restraints are supine and not prone because it could hurt the child. People are starting to complain about the prone. Because the patient cannot breathe, I would supine instead!

  10. this was the last psych hospital i’ve been to- which was two years ago, so this might be outdated. but from my time there, it was fairly helpful. certain staff were absolutely incredible, and others… not so much. it’s clean, which is a …

  12. This is the worst place you can send anyone, I would give this place no star review if I could they could literally do nothing for my little brother. My little brother is has severe autism and cerebra palsy and while he stayed there they …

  13. Staff will call you disgusting and are very rude. This is my daughters review from a stay here over the summer. I’ve allowed her to vent her feelings as they are still bothering her 4 months later.

  14. This place is absolutely amazing. My brother got a lot of help from being here. He has been so much nicer. And he hasn’t been dangerous. Thank you Hampstead Hospital for all of your help.

  15. I’ve never been a patient, but I got my COVID vaccine here, and they were TERRIFIC! It was easy and fast, super efficient, and the staff was really nice and accommodating. Thank you!!

  17. About a year ago my 9 year old son was taken here due to a suicide attempt (he’s diagnosed ADHD and autism). They supposedly billed the school district since he would be receiving schooling at the facility, as well as us. His first night …

  18. Great place, was my first hospitalization, I was on the adolescent unit, the staff were very nice and compassionate, they dealt with inconveniences very well. Most of the comments reporting that it was bad are old or from different units, I …

  19. I ACTUALLY went through the process, completed the steps and my life, my families life and the well-being of my community are a thousand times better for it. The Staff is Great, The Doctors are Fantastic and the Nurses are some of the …

  20. I appreciate so much the admissions staff and Nurse Shuart and Gina the social worker. Their true heartfelt concert for wanting to help our daughter was invaluable. It was a relief when I had to leave. The only thing we didn’t like was the …

  23. When we first got my daughter placed here and were able to talk to the staff we were hopeful. At the end of the week we felt much differently. Every conversation we had with one of the “professionals” left us more concerned. No one ever …

  24. Please, please do not send your loved ones here. As someone who was administered into their adolescent program, this is one of the worst places you can send someone in a bad place. If you have a choice, avoid this hospital. …

  25. If I could give this place -5 starts I would.. My daughter (14) was brought to the local hospital and had to wait a week to get a bed and we thought “oh ok this place must be good”. We got there and they were kind of put out when we got to …

  26. Horribly traumatizing and not in the least bit helpful. A male staff member was very creepy towards young female patients and the staff dismissed and victim-blamed. He also screamed at me a lot and it was horribly triggering.

  29. Hampstead Hospital is a wonderful place. The staff are top level, extremely knowledgeable and caring. The food was good and plentiful. I found it to be one of the best experiences of my life and I would/will return there if I have a relapse. Counselors….you guys rock!

  30. My husband got his first COVID shot here today and it could not have been a better experience. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, efficient and professional. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and that was with the 15-minute post-vaccine waiting time. Great job, all, and thank you!

  31. I would not disagree with the people who gave this place a one star review, the medical staff are fine, but the unit staff especially the staff on the lincoln unit are horrible. They don’t want to help you. They don’t even let you exchange …

  32. If you have the option of sending someone you know or admitting yourself to Hampstead Hospital or not, chose not to. I was admitted four times. All four times, extremely displeased and disappointed. Some of the staff were great, had …

  33. First time at an inpatient program. Very pleasantly surprised (absolutely NOTHING like the movies! 😉) There were a few people here that seemed to be ‘short’ often times, but I’m not going to punish (with a poor review) the rest of the …

  34. Writing this under a different name for privacy reasons but I had a great experience at Hampstead. I was lucky to have a group of patients around me that were very supportive and wonderful people. The staff was very easy to connect with and …

  35. I was admitted to this hospital in winter of fall of 2020, and then again in the winter of 2020. I can hands down say that my stay here was one of the worst experiences of my life. Almost all the unit staff couldn’t care less about us, …
