I called to paid my bill over the phone told the lady thank you have a nice day she responded with uh huh bye so rude I only gave one star because I have too!!! Need better people working for them with better attitudes
I have been a member of the Co-op for over 30 years. During part of that time, we also had an account at another location ( at a business in town) with TXU. There is no comparison between the two companies in terms of quality of service, pro-active preventive maintenance and emergency response time. HCEC wins hands-down in all cases.
Terrible ive never had an account with them and never had a late or past due utility bill in my life and they decide i deserve to pay $600.00 just to transfer the electric into my name on my new house. I will be contacting BBB and finding a way to get a new electric company out there.
I am extremely thankful for the crew that came out to my home almost daily to trouble shoot why my a/c was shutting off at the hottest part of the day! It is fixed now due to the diligence of the guys and their knowledge.

I can’t tell you how excited I was to see these two heros. We had just arrived at our cabin and our freezer and refrigerator were thawing. Your crew showed up about 30 minutes after I called. They were so efficient and very friendly. Thank you HCEC. Color me happy.
I’ve been without electricity since Sunday at 8 PM, it is now Tuesday morning 830 AM still nothing. I reported the outage at 830 PM Sunday on the website and called the next day and reported it again to a voice mail system. Reported my outage on their user friendly app, and had a call back within 15 minutes from one of their friendly dispatchers to let me know they had crews in route.
Haven’t had power for 26 hours. I bet 90% of their problems are because they don’t maintain trees and right of ways. Get a whole house generator you’ll need it. I think Venezuela has more reliable power
