Houston Healthcare System (GA) Reviews ( 250 )

  1. This place is ridiculous, why is it that you tell a doctor what works for you, then they turn around and do something completely different . Makes no sense to me, hell, I have been here over 6 times, just recently, I know what works for me!!!!!!

  2. Horrible Horrible Horrible by far the worse hospital I ever been to in my life the doctors and other staff are lazy and under educated and also very unprofessional I would never recommend no one to come here for any type of emergency you would have to die first before you got any help

  3. they are very slow and don’t know how to talk to people ..i went to the ER at 7 pm because i was having a miscarriage or whatever they had me up there for hours i left that place at 2:12 am only to tell me oh u had a miscarriage i was so upset the fact that they didn’t care to look at me as soon as i walked in while i was in pain.

  4. All of the staff from the registration of the ER entrance all the way through with the check in, blood lab, CT. Scan and of course the nurses and doctors on the 1st floor.

  5. I arrived at 1000am,still here after 5pm,no xray on my leg,leg still hurt wasted day coming here ,nurse ,Cindy,at desk signing in is just rude as can be,now family member can not come in back with patients, no privacy at all now.I just …

  6. I’m so disappointed with this place. Been here for 4+ hours in er. They are talking about running some pretty serious sounding tests. But no one is in hurry to do anything around here. I’d give zero stars if that were an option. Giving us absolutely no information. This place is pitiful.

  7. For the most part everyone was really nice and right on time with my meds and things that needed to be done… but all that changed with the evening shift of the 19th… I didn’t get my meds on time last night, more than 2hrs late andput in …

  8. I wish I would have read the reviews before going! Do NOT go there. I’m still in pain – the man who saw me, I’m not even sure he’s a doctor, came in and was so unprofessional with giving me my results as if my pain wasn’t important and what I’m feeling was all in my head- hope I don’t die today

  9. I have lived in Warner Robins for 14 years. I have always received excellent care from the staff, doctors and nurses at Houston Medical! I love you guys!!

  10. worst er ever they didn’t even adress my problems I went in with arm neck and shoulder pain that would take the strongest of man to his knees they sent me to fast track and did a cat scan on my head then said there’s nothing wrong with my head, well daa!

  11. Worst experience of my life. Staff is rude and they take forever doing anything. I’ve literally been here 5 hours and still don’t know what’s causing my pain. I would not recommend anyone coming here for anything.

  12. Thank you guys so much for the care you provided my diabetic mother. She was also suffering from kidney failure and high blood pressure. My mother Dorthy Ruth Clay also say thx. From the doctor to the receptionist you guys were professional. August 20, 2017.

  13. T-errible ER. I understand being busy but I could have gone to macon and gotten seen faster. 2 hours suffering through kidney pain just to get a room and wait some more. Awful.

  14. The nursing staff is beyond disrespectful, they violated my father’s rights on numerous occasions, even after making a complaint to the supervisors and hospital the care was worse, the nurses will abuse your family if your not watching …

  15. The worst. Slow and very rude. This doctor looked at me as if I’m manifesting things and then proceeded to tell me I’m bothering and distracting him from other patients.

  16. This is the worse hospitals I’ve ever been to. You come in with no results, you leave with worse or no results. They give you no solution. My babies are better doctors!

  17. The x-ray tech did not shield my husband! His foot was broken. He was instructed not to walk on it. They released him & did not give him crutches or take him out in a wheelchair forcing him to walk on the foot they just told him NOT TO WALk ON! Negligence!

  18. Fast track doctors are very nasty don’t do blood work they just shoot you up with pain medicine and send you home. I was told by Dr.Omar S. Queensbourrow this is the ER what i expect him to do on 12/ 10/2016

  19. Every single person who helped me through my stay there was truly AMAZING. Compassionate careful attention to me was given . I thought even the food terrific 👍thank you all I appreciate your help …

  20. Bad mouthed by check in staff for bringing to the attention of the triage nurse a toddler that had head trauma with blood from the nose. They have no sense of urgency for trauma or criticality of patient care with trauma or any sort of accident. Make the drive to Macon or Perry. A single star is over rating this hospital.

  21. Absolute worst hospital I’ve ever been to!!! Filthy and overcrowded not to mention the staff they are the rudest most incompetent,Inconsiderate ,and lazy bunch of people I’ve ever seen!!!

  22. I commend every worker working here and other healthcare facilities! Great job! Everyone was pleasant and also professional. True heroes regardless of your title.

  23. Things people need to understand.
    1. It’s called a ‘Waiting Room’. Don’t act suprised if you wait over 2hrs if the waiting room is full and rooms full. Sorry they can’t rush you in for your …

  24. Pretty frustrated right now. Scheduled gallbladder surgery and was told 2:30. It is now 6:30. Have not had any food for 24 hours. Now they say another hour. Never coming back here.

  25. Slow…care seems fine but preparedness is lacking. Had an appointment in the IV care section. Appt was at 9, arrived on time and went straight back. Meds still had to be ordered and delivered.

  26. If I could leave no starts I would. The staff there will ignore you have you sit there and wait for hours and when you ask how much longer they catch attitudes with you. If your having a real medical emergency go somewhere else.

  27. They are very unprofessional in the er department !!! They already move slow!!! After I had a discussion with the rn at the desk him and his co workers shortly after began discussing the situation that we recently talked about !!! They have no morals there and they violate the rights as well as the privacy of the patient !

  28. I am a former employee of the chief of staff at The medical group of central Georgia. DR.Al Shroof..I left employment there only to have my last paycheck direct deposited and then taken right back out of my acct the very next day!! I really think HMC needs to examine thier Chief of Staff.

  29. My brother had to go TO E.R. New Years Eve 31 Dec 19. The staff was great, they cut up with us and eased a scary situation. Kudo’s to Chandra, she was Fantastic! Thanks to all the staff for helping my brother out!

  30. My mother and father have had many visits over the last couple of years, and every visit has been above excellent. The staff has always been very pleasant and very informative every step of the way. Thank you for all that you guys do, and for making their experiences pleasant ones.

  31. WARNING DO NOT HAVE ANY REAL MEDICAL PRCEEDURES DONE AT THIS GLORIFIED MED STOP!!!!!! My mother went into their new and shiny new “heart facility” on September 9th for what is quickly becoming a routine proceedure of have a heart cath done …

  32. We want to thank everyone at hhc specifically the women’s center for the awesome experience the friendly staff there literally every single person there. Everyone was great. Again thank you all so much!!! Hailey and I appreciate you all!!!

  33. Staff is absolutely unprofessional and rude. They have not a care in the world about what is going on with you. They act as if you are wasting their time and don’t want to treat you for anything. Been sitting here 2 hours and haven’t been …

  34. This is the worst hospital on EARTH. Why become a nurse if youre gonna come in to work with a attitude? Your job is caring for patients. You get paid good to do it. If you dont want to, even for 2 seconds, you shouldnt be a nurse. I …

  35. This place is absolutely awful, from extreme wait times to uneducated physicians. We have been to this ER twice in 5 years and both times we felt we would receive better health care in a third world country. If it isn’t a true emergency I recommend making the drive to Macon. Don’t waste your time here!

  36. I will never use this facility again. I have been 3 separate times over 8 years. Each time they have messed up the billing process in some way. I have been to Macon, Augusta, and Hawkinsville and had much better experiences. My advice, go elsewhere because Houston medical thinks you owe them your visit.

  37. This place discriminates in their hiring process. I applied over a dozen times for several different positions that I qualified for and was treated very poorly by the last manager that interviewed me. They make it really hard for “certain” …

  38. I was there on 01/03/2018. I had same day surgery, and highly recommend this Medical Facility to all.
I was treated with respect and professionalism from the moment I walked through …

  39. Both my daughters were born here and we had a great experience both times. Highly recommend Dr. Nguyen for an OB. They should pay their nurses more here. They deserve it.

  40. our daughter went to the ER after a blow to head during a motorcycle accident on January 12. she waited for five hours and was never seen by a doctor, or properly evaluated for a possible concussion, despite repeated requests and offers to …

  41. I had to go the ER twice in one week because of very bad breathing problems. ER physicians failed to diagnose the problem twice They just dope you up, send you home. I could have died. …

  42. The emergency room is outdated, over crowded, staff is very unfriendly, You need to stop expanding your. Surgical dept, and start updating, upgrading, The ER, and the rinky dink patients room. All room should be equipped with a a sofa that makes out to a bed, those recliners are antiquated.

  43. My wife was brought to the hospital with a Broke Femur after falling at Parkwood Cemetery. We were from out of town. The care and attention from the Doctor , Nurses, & Tech’s was absolutely the best and most professional care I have ever …

  44. I don’t know why but this place seems to be going down hill. You would be better off going to Macon or Atlanta. My wife still couldn’t walk or talk and they still wanted to discharge her. They brought in a big nurse trying to intimidate her …

  45. If you have a medical emergency save your life and go somewhere else. This hospital will first ignore you, then lie to you and is disorganized in the extreme with different departments unwilling and unable to communicate.

  46. I have to say, ER staff is ON POINT today! I’ve been very well taken care of and have been diagnosed with Influenza A And also severe Bronchitis. They’ve all gone above and beyond. Very happy with the care I received today. Special …

  47. My dad is 90 and has 5 kids and his wife of almost 70 years. They called in family this morning but said only 2 could see him. How can a medical facility be so cruel.

  48. A family member was recently in this facility and one of the rooms they had them in was filthy. The floor had stains all over it (even the PCT mentioned it and asked if the cleaning people had come in). The table on wheels (what the …

  49. From the front entrance taking temps to LPN Allie to Dr. Omar and everyone in between, I experienced top rate care. First visit, hopefully last but would return again and again. Thankful for you all!

  50. Nurses are good, unfortunately they are extremely short staffed and your ER wait times can be over seven hours with very few updates. If you have to stay in the hospital, be prepared for the worst food of your life.

  51. I bought my 11 month old here due to breathing difficulties(that was my mistake bc I should have just driven into Macon )
I ended up being between staff changes -my first staff was decent …

  52. The Emergency Room staff was extremely. It was as if it was a nuisance for me to ask about someone in intensive care. Maybe the staff should be required to undergo more customer service training before dealing with people who could be in very emotional situations. I wouldn’t recommend this ER to anyone.

  53. My wife was having what appeared to be stomach problems. Her Tricare PCM sent her to the emergency room to take care of the problem. They found nothing so, they said. This same problem kept occurring for the next 7 weeks and each time …

  54. Well, if this dumpster fire doesn’t kill you (they do NOT mind), they sure as hell won’t help your sciatic nerve pain or a ruptured disc. If you dont have insurance, you likely won’t get decent treatment of any sort. If you have an emergency, go anywhere but here!

  55. I would give zero star if I could. My husband had a colonoscopy procedure at Houston Medical Center. Their facilities are pretty old and we had to wait a long time. In addition, we received a large bill from their anesthesiologist even …

  56. Not sure it is possible to say you “loved” an experience at a hospital, but under the circumstances this location stepped up to meet the need. Unexpected event enroute to SC from FL brought us to the ER at Houston Medical Center. …

  57. I waited in waiting room for an hour and a half while staff members just sit at Front desk looking like they have no idea what to do. Then I finally get in room and my tooth is killing me. They can’t prescribe any pain meds. The rn said it …

  58. I received exceptional care and medical attention during my visit. Both EMS and the Emergency Department helped save my life.

  63. Terrible ER nurse Michelle and doctor Omar. My tech was awesome. She’s the only reason for this one star. I left feeling the same way as I did upon arrival. No point in having fluids ordered if the nurse is not gonna follow thru with it. …

  64. Genuinely the worst care, level of patient neglect, bedside manner, and lack of cleanliness I have ever personally witnessed. A reform is desperately needed before something horrible happens to a patient.

  65. For “obvious” reasons, I’ve chosen not to use my real name. I have several severe health conditions that require visits to the ER at least once every two to three years. I’ve lived in this area for over ten years, so I’ve got some …

  66. I remember when this place was a LOT smaller. The service then was off the hook. In the emergency room things were treated as such. They should rename it to ‘The Waiting Room’ now. The last time we were there, we were told it was a two …

  67. Had to return the next day after surgery due to surgery complications and they made me wait outside in the stretcher in the hallway for an hour before finally putting me into a room that was dirty. Just didn’t seem professional or clean. Haven’t heard a lot of good things from other people either.

  68. Had 4 operations all in one day. The staff and nurse’s were outstanding and on their game. Have no complaints at all. Thank all of you for taking such good care of me and keeping my wife informed during my procedures.

  71. This hospital and other facilities of Houston Healthcare are horrible. The hospital ER rooms are dirty and their staff is aware of this yet they do nothing because they are too “busy” to take care of the issue. I myself have been treated …

  72. Houston Medical Center is by far the worst hospital I have ever dealt with. My father went in because he took a fall and due to the care or lack thereof, he was dead in 11 days. The verbal abuse my father and I received from the doctors and mistakes made with his care are inexcusable. Bring your loved ones to another hospital.

  73. My 80 y/o mother had to go to the HMC ER on January 9 2018, with chest pain and elevated bp. It was during the extremely busy time with the flu outbreak. She spent many hours in one of the overflow rooms and didn’t receive much care. Her …

  75. The minute I got there the staff was on it. This is my second visit. My first was awful. But I decided to give them another try. Everyone deserves a second chance. I’m glad. All the staff was very nice and respectful. That makes a big difference. Thank you Houston Med Center for making my experience awesome.

  82. I hate to write this way about the hospital, but I feel that information needs to be shared to prevent harm to others. My father recently went into the hospital for pneumonia in both lungs, and then was released after a week. He’s still in …

  83. If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. The billing department is awful, my surgeon apparently had covid while operating on me and the communication has been laughable. I pray that I never have to go to that place again.

  96. The ER needs some major upgrades…also the front desk clerk asks you a lot of personal questions right in front of everyone who are waiting in the waiting area. Not good at all..some of the nurses and doctors have the worst bedside manner..they don’t make you feel comfortable or act like they care.

  133. This place is HORRIBLE!! I took my daughter here at like 4am and at 10:30am she was still waiting. She just ended up leaving without any answers or treatment after six and a half hours. Since when is it ok for a nurse (Sheryl P, LPN) to …

  137. It seems like there is something contagious that is spreading to all the nurses and staff at this facility. Some of the symptoms are: Loss of kindness, Rude demeanor, permanent frown, inability to say thank you or excuse me. Whoever …

  138. Probably the worse hospital i’ve been to. These have to be the most incompetent people I’ve ever met. You’ll be dead waiting to be seen here this is absolutely ridiculous, if possible please go else where.

  139. This hospital is horrible.. The care they provide is MEDIOCRE, I had a urgent visit on a 3rd world country hospital and they was better. I had a car accident last year, my entire body was hurting and I was having problem breathing but I was …

  140. Do not come here pass this hospital if you care about your life and your health. The wait times are 4-10+ hours, no doctors on staff, no beds available.

  141. Worst experience I’ve ever had in an ER. My wife’s BP got really high, she was in extreme pain from a headache. I was afraid it could be an aneurysm or something like that. They took her vitals and BP was still very high. They had us …

  142. I had my baby girl here October 2021. The nurses were amazing super sweet and attentive. I was very nervous because of all the bad reviews I saw online but the labor and delivery nurses were the best!!! I would definitely recommend having a baby at this hospital!!

  143. This visit, aside from when I have birth to my daughter in 2017, has to be the best visit I’ve encountered. I had an outpatient surgery and from start to finish I received the best care. Tamer, Sydney, Ashley, and Gayle all made my stay …

  144. Someone I know had to be seen at the Emergency room. Arrived at 6:15pm Via Ambulance, had vitals and X-Rays taken, and then was told to wait for the doctor to review the X-Rays and they will be back with them. Here it is 1:33am and they …

  146. Whoever the nurses are on the 5th floor, they are rude, with a nasty attitude, you don’t want to take care of your patients get another line of work, you will not be talking to my wife any kind of way

  147. I refuse to ever go here again! I took my 2 year old here for retracted breathing. She ended up having RSV. They sent her home with a steroid. We ended up going to the Macon children’s hospital which admitted her

  148. Horrible experience! Sat in the ER 3:30pm-11:30pm. Staff was frustrated along with patients. Didn’t even get to see the Dct. Never went back to a room to talk to DOCTOR. Still didn’t get checked like I should’ve. Took another hour for discharge. Awful place to go when you’re sick. Never again will I ever go back to this hospital.

  149. You probably shouldn’t have your female security guard outside cussing and screaming profanities about a supervisor asking her questions from something that happened on her day off. We’re parked in the handicapped spot in the front of the …

  153. I had to go in for excessive vomiting for two days. The EMTs Trent and Joseph were absolutely fabulous. Smoothest ride ever had to the hospital. And Jessica the emergency nurse gave the best care. In fact everybody I came in contact with was so courteous and so loving. Best experience I’ve ever had there. And I’ve had a few.

  154. Just dumb. You can’t even go to the back with your wife for an ultrasound. Literally the only hospital I’ve known to do this. So if you plan on seeing your child during an ultrasound, don’t!

  155. Ever since Shellisa Houston-Martin started pushing Human Resources to strictly enforce the rules, like only 6-7 sick days per year and they let good nurses and nursing assistants go if they missed too many days. Then they let go people who …

  159. The incompetence is wild. Forgetting to hang iv fluids for post op patient, assessing their ability to walk first thing in the morning after giving them morphine at night, openly putting off room maintenance til next shift bc they are “tired.” That’s not even getting into the surgery waiting room front desk and misinformation.

  164. The IV Therapy Department at Houston Medical Center is the BEST!
