Dr Crosby is one of those rare Dr’s who you feel isn’t trying to rush out of the room to the next patient. I respect the fact that he doesn’t sugar coat anything, is very direct giving you a realistic idea of what you are facing and what to expect.
I called three times in two days. On hold for 22 minutes and this is just to MAKE an appointment. Still no appointment. I suggest the largest free standing facility of it’s kind in the country ask its benefactors for more polite customer friendly folks to answer the phones and make appointments. I had hand surgery here in 2012, and everyone was wonderful- from the office staff to my doctors and nurses to PT. They gave my case the urgency it needed (and I wasn’t aware of until the last minute), gave me the information I needed to weigh my choices, and treated me with respect & dignity.

They take excellent care of patients from diagnosis through surgery & healing. I moved out of Indiana but have traveled back twice to get carpal tunnel & arm surgery at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. It is worth the trip to know I’m getting the best care possible.

I love the Indiana Hand To Shoulder Center! Elizabeth Fouch, and Dr. Smetana are the best. I know when I go there I will leave pain free or we will have a plan in place to fix the problem. I highly recommend them.
Be prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time. We had an end of the day appointment (4:45), and it took 2 hours. Our follow up was scheduled for 8AM and we still had an hour wait! The front desk wasn’t even apologetic when I inquired 40 minutes after the appointment time. I will never be back.
