Unfortunately, the only place we have in town. If you are lucky, you will see some of the great professionals they have there. However, the overall policy is never what is the best for the patient. Terrible place with some good professionals. If you can, go to another place.

Emergency room can’t even provide a price for a simple steroid shot before performing it. They mailed the invoice 2 month later and doubled the standard price.
Absolutely trash. They misdiagnosed my girlfriend son and prescribed a medicine that after insurance was $240 because he “had the flu.” He had strep throat so now she wanted the money on that medicine and they won’t do anything about it. All this money on a new hospital and they cant even identify strep throat? Its pathetic
Went there for a stroke. After more than an hour and not even an aspirin they shipped me off to Iowa city hospital in an ambulance . Symptoms were reduced by then. BUT. Agreed Veterinarians might be a better choice. Actually if you can get there just go to Iowa city.
A good place to prematurely cease to exist. You’d be better off going to a Veterinarian…no joke! Your Insurance will love the Over Charges as well. When the motivation is money instead of health and ducks run the store. Seriously, your life is worth the drive to Ottumwa!
Very good service. Kind folks. I have a great doctor there. My doctor didn’t have an opening for a few weeks when I needed to see him sooner so I went in and spoke with the front desk receptionist in person, and set up an appt. with another doc my doc works with. Everything turned out well.
This hospital will take advantage of you by wanting to run unnecessary tests. Services have to be paid in full in 12 months or they send you to collections. All they care about is profits.
Couldn’t be happier with the way surgeon Dr. Zalinski treated my wife. Same goes for her nurses AND the reception staff. The cafeteria even had edible food for breakfast! No one wants to go to the hospital, but with the people they hire, it really makes a difference, and makes Jefferson Co. is a good choice.

Never going back unless there is no other choice. Allow other patients to trigger my Recall without ever caring how it makes me feel or what I experience because of it. Was in ER again due to a seizure and sent me home with a ride from the family continually exacerbating my Recall trauma.
