  1. Horrible high utility rates, there is no reason for it. The people there are nice, but good grief they need to do something about the outrageous rates!

  3. Terrible company who decides how much you owe. I have had numerous issues with them, and when you’re against someone who makes the rules… you always lose. Seriously, investing in solar panels might be cheaper.

  4. OMG they charge you whatever they want too and then when you call and state i think your charging me too much they argue you down and charge you over $200 a month in just lights hell i haven’t paid that ever unless i was running air all year long and on 60 degrees worst company ever.

  5. Absolutely one of the most helpful customer service from every lady that has ever taken taken my call so far. Super polite, helpful and great positive attitudes all round at the other end of the line from the customer service ladies.

  6. No other option in Greenwood so bills are rediculous, and when the power goes out they don’t answer the outage line. It rings until it disconnects. I wish there was another option.

When you ask the office to do 1 simple thing they can’t even get it right what part of take my name off of a bill don’t you understand ? Wow I think someone needs to retire or I think you need to find a new job maybe sweeping the parking lot . WTH !!!

  8. Our power went out in the morning because a car hit a pole. I drove by where it happened and saw the guys standing around smoking and laughing, and no one was even working. The electricity had almost been out four hours by then. This is the service we pay for, folks.

  10. If there are fair weather clouds on a sunny day, becareful, you will likely lose power. Extremely poor service. I think a caveman rubbing two sticks together could deliver more consistent power than JC-REMC

  11. Nice people. BUT, not sure why they won’t respond to emails though. Or, when you call on a couple occasions and give them your personal email once and work email a second time, and they say they’ll email you, they never do.

  13. I have to agree with everyone else, grossly overpriced especially considering it’s supposed to be a co-op, and they don’t have off peak other than seasonal so running things at night doesn’t help. Moving away so hopefully my next provider will be more reasonable.

  14. I have only had positive experiences working with REMC. As a new homeowner, they have done an amazing job getting everything completed. They are always very easy to work with.

  15. If I could give less than 1 star to this company, I would. RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. When we’ve reached out to discussed our concerns about the charges to our account we’ve just been written off and offered no real assistance.

  18. Just got power on after 4 hours. Storm hit but even before about a month ago power off again for hours got a call from daughter said hours no heat so she went to Aunts. Same thing December if you forget a bill they email!
