Believe the negative reviews! I wish I had because it would’ve saved me a lot of time and money to avoid this facility. They will lie and say they can help you, but as soon as you pay, care and compassion are off the table, along with their integrity. I pray for anyone who has to be seen here. I have brought my mother to this hospital several times for heart problems I would recommend that you go somewhere else. The doctors don’t know what their doing. They send her home because they say their nothing wrong. Then I take her to another hospital and they find something that needs to be done now.

They’ll charge you what you’d expect for a procedure when you show up for it but then you receive a surprise bill months later that almost doubles the amount. I’ll never go back to UNC Health after how horribly they mis-handled billing.
Brought my mom here for vomiting blood. Got here around 6:30am. Finally got called back to a room in the ED at 12:30. It’s 2:16 we still haven’t seen a Doctor yet!! We saw multiple people come and go who came after us. Not sure whats going on. Please take your family to another Hospital where they will be seen promptly.
My grandmother went into the hospital for a TIA she had and was tested for covid and the flu and was negative…. A few days later she began to exhibit covid symptoms and went back and tested positive for covid. They clearly don’t sanitize very well here. What a shame. You go to the hospital to feel better and come out worse.
I have over my years worked or had treatment by a few different systems and Johnston health in Smithfield and Clayton are excellent in their organization and care . The nurses and doctors were the best. Most of all they are caring and compassionate .
