Jonesboro City Water & Light (AR) Reviews ( 28 )

  1. Hand written receipt if you did don’t pay an exact amount Sad a multimillion dollar company can’t afford a computer program that allows them to change amount customer pays

  2. They’re payment options are a bad joke from the 90s …update… I came in to change bank account on the 14th and they didn’t process the change until the 17th which cause them to draft out of my old account and processing a late fee …

  3. They seem to never keep up with the money orders that I drop in their box, because they are charging me for this month AND last month, when I KNOW I paid last month’s bill. This happened last time as well with the bill before last.

  4. Seems like every time I go to make a payment the amount they tell me at the window is 20-50 dollars higher than what it says on my actual bill. Prices fluctuate by season and they’re the only electric provider in town. Seems like sheisty business practice to me.

  5. Stop over charging people simply because it’s the holidays. No I don’t decorate for Dec. 25th, yes I turn lights out when I’m not in the room, no I don’t run my heat because we are a family that enjoys being cold. There is NO excuse for my …

  6. Makes no sense to me that if you go by to pay your bill you must use cash or money order, yet if you pay online you can use debit, credit, or electronic check. You may use debit or credit if you opt to pay by phone. Fees are incurred if you …

  7. Never had any problems with outages, poor service, etc and the one time I needed an extension on my bill, the woman I spoke with was very helpful and polite. I would say it is one of the better-run public service entities I have encountered.

  8. I can assure those of you complaining about one thing or another where these local utility services are concerned. It’s the same all over the nation. Don’t like it, don’t pay it. The alternative is gonna blow. There’s nothing you can do …

  9. 9/2/20 went to drop my payments in the drive-thru and politely asked if there was a grace period for residential bills and was told I would have to “call customer service”. It’s the little things that make a company great and this was a missed opportunity.

  10. I’ve always thought that CWL was a good utility with cheaper rates than most others and quick to respond to power outages. I did have a disappointing experience this morning. I called customer service for assistance in a water problem I …

  11. I think its very unfair that when you call the pay by phone number to pay your bill you can only pay up to $250.00 and are charged $2.95 then to pay your remainder you are charged another $2.95. With today’s technology why can’t this be set …

  12. I’ve been with them for years and never had any problems until the last several months. Be warned that having auto draft set up on a credit card or debit card does not mean your payments will be paid on time. They use a third party to …

  13. Utilities are extremely volatile from month to month, even though I use almost the same amount of water and electricity each month. And after looking for help from the customer service, the customer service replied that there might be water …

  14. Its 2022, you should really be able to pay in person with a debit card. Only way to pay with a card is to incur a ~$3 fee online. I know we’re in Arkansas but feel free to step into the 21st century anytime. Polite folks, though.
