Way too many power outages. Way too expensive…and for an island that gets all this tourism and is part of the USA, I can say as an American citizen this is inexcusable.
I’m pretty sure this entire organization is just one dude trying to juggle the responsibility of an entire public utility. Only explanation I can think of for why it’s borderline impossible to talk to an actual human.
Poor customer service. On hold for hours. Hard to believe there is ANY customer service agents. I tried ALL phone options given multiple times during day. Still haven’t spoken to anyone. Yet they want their bill paid on time…….
they rip you off if you have solar. They also are incompetent in terms of innovation and being organized as a COOP. Poor leadership, too many power outages and they run an unethical operation at times.
We need to audit this power company my buddy says the secretary gets paid a million a year seems really high the electric bill is always $200 or more a month even if I’m not home for long periods this is a corrupt organization we need to get together and audit kiuc which is are right
My tenant has no electricity. His neighbors do. He is on auo-pay. It is impossible to reach anyone at KIUS as it is 6PM. It is outrageous that any public utility can operate without an effective emergency line.
Ray you are a gate keeper and not an insurance policy maker, so when a client calls to file a claim just do what is necessary .

Sadly between KIUC and your Contrator the home owner who may have spent thousands of dollars ends up with no available sun power! Learn about Curtailment!! Bummed were getting no use of our system. Meanwhile each einity is pointing the finger at each other!
They said they sent me the bill 3 months in a row and every time I do not receive it, I end up having a guy coming to my house telling me we are late on payment, so I have to pay now plus a collection fee, or they will turn off my power, …
I’ve experienced three power outages in the last 2 days. Long outages. This morning I called and spoke to “Cale” at the service location. When I told him this service was unacceptable he got hostile and told me to “file a complaint”. Get it together KIUC. You need better management and better employees
Not impressed with their phone manners or service. Why can’t you schedule a payment online? It wants immediate payment, no calendar option. Ridiculous. Worthless clumsy app. Not hearing good things about their solar power reimbursement either.

Never had an issue with this place. Have been there in person and dealt with them over the phone. Nice people. Mahalo.
