Massachusetts Eye Associates Reviews ( 106 )

  1. I’ve been going to Mass Eye Associates for a few years and have always found the staff friendly and helpful in both the Tewksbury and the Chelmsford locations. Last years they accommodated me during some acute issues with my eyes, even over …

  2. I am Sorry to say that this place is getting worse now.I have been coming here for over 10 years. When you called their office staff is also very rude. They treat you with no respect.I am looking for new place.

  3. My son had a routine eye exam appointment with Dr. Kong. He was taken in before he could sit down in the waiting room. The technician was very patient with him, checked his family history, and had him ready for the doctor. Dr. Kong took …

  4. My daughter had new lenses put in her perfectly good one year old frames. We paid extra for non glare lenses. Well, they broke her glasses putting in the new lenses, offered an ugly substitute for no additional cost, but then we realized …

  5. dr. ye is always very late for appointments then he rushes you through. I didn’t get my questions answered fully.
After discussing the cost of replacement reading lenses in my frames (only come …

  6. Doctor John Constantine is the rudest medical “professional” I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. He has absolutely no bedside manner and was flat out rude to me. He’s rough and basically pulled my head back when doing tests. I will NEVER go back to this eye doctor.

  7. I was really disappointed contacting this clinic. I waited two months to schedule an appointment for my two kids and one day before that, they called to reschedule for two more months!

  8. Should be called rude eye associates. Front desk is beyond rude and disrespectful. For members of a progressive medical profession, their customer service is stuck in the stone age and condescending. They don’t listen. I requested an appt. …

  9. The front staff were very polite and pleasant, as was the technician who saw me first. Dr. Bolliger however was very unprofessional, I am a single mother and had to bring my 3 year old with me and though my child was not touching anything …

  10. I have been a long, long, time customer (40 years, since the 2nd grade). They are excellent but lack “bow ties”. Inside joke. You will be well served here.

  11. My mother was a patient and she switched to another provider due to the awful customer service at the Chelmsford location. She experienced rude and disrespectful service from the front desk who ignored any questions my mother had.

  12. Untrained staff, the technician took my glasses, checked the script and said they were fine. How can they be fine if my vision is blurry? Now I have to pay out of pocket to see a real doctor who will actual conduct a real exam. Here the technicians determine your prescription, not the doctor. Waste of time and money.

  13. You barely get to see the optometrist. The assistant/nurse? did my prescription. I told her it was too strong and my eyes were pulling. She dilated my pupils and I couldn’t see. When the actual doctor came in she said, yet it was …

  14. I had an appointment at 8:30 in the morning. It was my first time there. I’ve been trying to call since 8 o’clock to cancel my appointment and the answering service is still on. I will not be going there ever. The service is horrible and someone should be answering the phone

  15. My appointment was cancelled because of the storm, they gave me two hours notice that it was cancelled. I called the next day to reschedule and the only appointments they could offer were 1.5 months out. That is extremely unethical. If a provider is that booked out they should not be accepting new patients.

  16. Courteous, professional, knowledgeable staff. The tests and examination were thorough and all was accomplished in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this practice.

  17. I called to set up appointment with ophthalmologist and was told first available in May (in two month)! You gotta be kidding. Awful service!!!

  18. If you are looking to get in and out in 15 minutes find another place, but if you want outstanding service with your vision this is the place. plan on spending 1 hour so bring something to read leave the kids at home and relax.

  19. HORRIBLE STAFF! I called in March to schedule my “annual” visit with my eye doctor and was told “all doctors are booked until May.” I explained that I am having a problem with my left eye (which I have been in a couple of times over the …

  20. Not much of a selection for kids. Also takes 5 weeks for glasses to come in. Thank goodness my child has a lazy eye that needs correction. Feel bad for people who need to have glasses to see & order from this place.

  21. I’ve been a patient for several years. This appointment was a quick test and I was taken on time. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I have additional testing next week. While waiting for my testing, I overheard one of the staff waiting on a customer to be a little abrupt with her.

  22. I have always experienced a welcoming and relaxed setting at MEA.
Doctors, assistants and the facility were very prepared to protect all from the possible virus spread. Thank you all for this extra effort.

  23. Just completed first cataract surgery, which went quickly, comfortably and successfully. My wife had similar experiences with cataract surgeries last year. Mass Eye staff are always courteous and professional. Dr Yi is a gifted microsurgeon and an extraordinarily kind and caring person.

  24. I’ve been a long time patient of Dr. Calnan and recently took my young son to see her at their Chelmsford office. Any time I have actually had my own appointment the wait has at least been 30mins or more. Ok, I get it, it’s a busy office. …

  25. I dreaded this visit because of COVID-19, but I was pleasantly relieved. I was called in (I sat in my car) when they were ready for me, had my temperature taken, asked to use hand sanitizer. I felt very comfortable with the precautions …

  26. Dr. Calnan was excellent as always. My parents were recently diagnosed with AMD. I don’t have any symptoms, but Dr. Calnan provided valuable information, advice, and flagged it to be closely monitored in current and future appointments. I don’t recall her assistant’s name but she was very good as well.

  27. It was a good experience. Staff and doctors were friendly and helpful. At 68, I am developing cataracts. Dr. Ye gave me thorough advice on how to decide when I should have surgery.

  28. My wife and I have been long term patients of Massachusetts Eye Associates and Dr. Yi. The staff is excellent, friendly, and thorough. It is a busy office, but that is what happens when you have quality care and an excellent reputation. Dr. Yi is the best, giving the results, details, and options with confidence for the patient!

  29. The staff at the cataract Center was very kind, professional and efficient. Nursing and anesthesiology were especially terrific.
Dr. Yi may have visited me before or after the surgery, I was under conscious sedation and don’t remember it.

  30. While the staff was very professional, my surgeon behaved very unprofessionally when he handed me a letter proselytizing his religion. Avoid this practice if that isn’t what you want from your doctor.

  31. I have been a patient of Dr. Kim’s for several years now. Appointments are always prompt and informative. He has helped me get my Glaucoma under control and just performed cataract surgery with excellent results. The other doctors and staff …

  32. Not only is Dr Bolliger an expert in his field, but he’s a great teacher. He carefully explains everything that he’s treating, observing, and provides information to his patients about the anatomy of the eye, and how it pertains to aging …

  33. They ran 1/2 hour late. I was not told my appointment would not be at the assigned time. I was left to wait in the waiting room as if my time did not matter, nor did my potential exposure to covid19 while I waited. I was told by my …

  34. Love the doctor (Dr. Kong and her associate), however, waited 30 minutes in waiting room. Which made me anxious with strict Covid precautions still in prevalent. …

  35. I am 63 years old and this was by far the most comprehensive eye exam I have ever received. Dr.Bunker was great and I hate to see him retire. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Service was prompt, professional and courteous …

  36. Went to see Dr. Bolliger for a very sore left eye. Had to wait over 30 minutes and my eye was throbbing and any light was killing me. He said I had a tear and gave me a gel antibiotic and no pain killer even though my eye was throbbing and …

  37. Comfortable, extra clean office space, quickly ackowledged when I entered. Timely appointment with Dr. Bolliger who spoke with me on my present eye condition and answered all comments/questions about my treatment. His manner has always been …

  38. Great experience. Most of all, now I can function without eye glasses from day one. No glasses since age 14. Imagine that ? I will need glasses for driving. Doctor David Yi is a superb surgeon. He has a great deal of experience, …

  39. Appointments were timed well, I hardly had a wait. Dr Kong was helpful, professional and friendly. Check out was easy, too. Had a good visit all around. I recommend this office for eye care. The office does have a lot of patients, so be prepared to make your appointment well in advance of when you think you will need it.

  40. Dr Kim was fantastic. Very professional and thorough. Had a very pleasant experience with the clinic and most of all Dr Kim. His right hand girl and he make a perfect team

  41. Always a pleasant experience. Everyone is so courteous and professional. Doctor Willard (I did not get the nurse’s name who did my initial exam) but they both were great. Charlene in the optical dept was excellent too.

  42. The office staff is organized and really friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about the Chelmsford office. I waited only a couple of minutes before I was called in for my appointment. Dr. Hamill is great. Honestly everyone was awesome I wish I could remember everyone’s name. I recommend this office highly.

  43. Been going there since my buckle surgery 5 years ago to see their specialists and get regular contacts and glasses. Great place, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

  44. Been going to Mass eye for years. I see Dr Kim or Dr Yi. Both are phenomenal and very kind but also great surgeons as well. Not big talkers but great at what they do. Reception is nice and check in can be done by scanning qr code with cell phone. Bookings are done many months out.
