I would like to recommend dr Randolph he is a world wide known doc and he is very nice and caring and he is compassionate and very happy to help and he explains things
We are sitting here waiting to be seen in the ER on hour number 4 of wait time. UGH. You have an emergency – please go someplace else. Plenty of support stag. No doctors
I brought my daughter zc in on July 3,the staff from parking to intake to the manager walking around checking on us snd everybody right up to all three of the specialist were amazing Thank you thank you thank you
I almost didn’t go here because of the negative reviews but I’m glad in the end I did. The staff is incredible. The service is top notch. I highly recommend their services.
Waiting for 1hour and half because i was 15 min late for my appointment while i always come on time and still wait more than 30 min without complaining the front desk girl was very rude this is my last visit to Mass eye and ear its all about customer service
I was misdiagnosed at a previous doctors office and wanted a referral to get my ear checked out by someone else so I went to MEEI and I’ve been going here for 5 years now, hands down best staff and doctors!
The hospital and nurse staff are 5 star what brings this place down is not all but most ot there lna not one shower or bath well I was here other than the one I asked for shame
The wait time is horrible. Very friendly, attentive staff, however, I’ve been here for over 4 hours, seen many who came in hours after me who have been seen and treated and released.. Just WRONG !
Terrible experience. I have been waiting for threes hours now . Seems like there is no doctor in this emergency room early mornings. They started working at9 am like a provate office.
Dr Michael k yoon changed my life forever.Dr yoon is so warm welcoming and dedicated to his profession.Dr yoon deserve an award for handling his patients so well.thank you so much Dr yoon.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. The doctors are condescending and the service was awful. I had to contact them set up the surgery I needed ( 1 1/2 months later). The customer service is awful.
Tuesday night, came in at 6pm and it is currently 10:38pm with no one in the waiting room. Pathetic to have to wait this long for a check up. Absolutely atrocious; no sense of urgency from anyone here.
Hi i dnt know about mass eye and earing hospital but i read one news that i have modarate sensory nerve hearing loss is there any treatment present not hearing aids bcoz hearing loss not suitable for me
My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. No matter you’re here for, from the drs & nurses to the cafeteria & custodial staff, everyone is very professional & extremely helpful whether you need it or not.
So grateful for this amazing resource of professionals. The Doctors, the Staff and the technologies available are simply the best in the world. I cannot praise them enough.
These Doctors saved my eye. Knowing what I know now, I would never go anywhere else for eye emergencies or issues. I am incredibly thankful to have found them!
I was the only in the Emergency Department and no one came to get me when I signed in I was in pain when I push the button to speak to someone they said the nurse is on the phone and it was 2am I had to sit there for a while with my pain by myself
if you have tinnitus with no nerve damage they kick you to the curb and say nothing can be done you got dealt the wrong cards in life. don’t even refer you to an audiologist ?
Came in with an abscess on my tonsil from another hospital. I was treated with such care the nurse opted to stay in the room with me even though the corona test hadn’t came back. She was literally wiping my tears as the doctor drained the …
I was refered to call the Tinnitus Clinic. I left a message in August I still haven’t heard anything. I know I should call back and leave another message but I figured I still wouldn’t be suffering like this. Juat wanted someone to know.
i looked through the list of complaints and then felt that i had to say that i am very impressed with the quality of the care for opthamological problems; i am a doctor, who sends patients to MEEI, and I am a patient, too.
Have never encountered a rude or impolite employee here. Everyone has always been helpful and attentive. Aside from the excellent medical care it’s nice to have pleasant staff.
waited more than 6 hours in the waiting room and left because I was advised that there is only one ER doctor available in the emergency room. Another walked in patients also left without seen the doctor. Staff were very unprofessional except the triage nurse
Today we brought my mother-in-law, a 90 year old woman, with pretty severe dementia, to the ER because she could not hear. I cannot say enough good things about the excellence of consideration and care Deb the nurse and all the personnel gave her, including the valet parking attendant. Big thanks and much appreciation to all.
I came in because I needed help. It was something relatively minor but I had been sick for over a month and it was starting to affect my sleeping. Waited 2.5 hours (no problem), paid a few hundred dollars (no problem) and the doctors could …
Warning! Their doctor caused a permanent ringing noise in my ear. He made a blood blister in my ear canal with his suction tube. It has been ringing ever since.
The people here are very attenative, to your individual
Care and they do take care of your health and watch you like a hawk and make you feel so loved to be cared by thier staff of qaulified nurses and
Doctors. Surgeons.
Awful, awful place. Doctors are overbooked and under resourced. I’ve been going here for over two years to fix an eye problem and it’s almost always the same story. Currently an hour and twenty minutes past my appointment time and no one will even give me an idea when I might see the doctor.
This has got to be the most horrific place to come for any eye emergency!! Patient registration took over 20 minutes (ridiculous).
Wait time is to die for and when you ask how much longer, nobody seems to know …
Beware, the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary charges additional fees for use of their facilities. This fee is in addition to your copay to visit the doctor. I’m a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois member with a PPO plan and was charged …
I have no eyes or ears, so I came here to get cured. They laughed in my face, or at least I think so. Again I have no eyes and ears so I have no idea what actually happened.
Dr Bleier and his assistant Kristin Finn have opened the door to a new world for me. I’ve had trouble with my sinuses for more than half of my life. (i’m 60). Dr Bleier and his team are performing miracles every day. I can breath, I can …
Doctors are great, but they are terrible at scheduling – you usually wait an hour plus in the front waiting room and appointments take 3 hours once they take you back.
Long wait times, inattentive front desk staff and a doctor who didn’t listen, didn’t understand and seemed completely unaware of the issue I described before rushing me out of the door. …
This hopsital is well run. Its clean and bright. The staff is always pleasant. I have been going here for years for my eye check ups and would even fly back if i ever moved away.
My son underwent cochlear implant at MASSACHUSETTS EYE AND EAR INFIRMARY one year ago.
the surgeon was DANIEL LEE. He choose the N6 sound processor with the CI 512 …
I don’t have any stars to pick yet. I’m writing because i’m quite nervous after viewing all the reviews. my son is going to the Head and Neck cancer part of hospital. soon to have surgery and from what i’m seeing there is more negative than positive regarding this hospital. please lord give us a good staff
They don’t accept the most standard insurance plans in New England – I now have to submit my claim through my insurance and was forced to pay $90 out of pocket. They also can’t order my contact lenses because they don’t take Anthem EyeMed – so now I have to do that on my own. Absolutely ridiculous.
There is a reason people from all over the world come to Mass Eye – the doctors are #1.
If you want ease of parking, easy in and out no big city hassle please go …
Yesterday started my first day of my 80 hyperbaric chamber treatments for Crohn’s diseases at Mass Eye and Ear. The employees are so nice and the facilities are clean and inviting. The staff is excellent!!!!
The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly but, the wait was grueling to say the least. The hospital only staffs one doctor overnight. What happens in the event of two emergencies in the same night in a major city? Just doesn’t seem like a great setup. But, the staff was friendly at least.
Excellent service. From the security guard at the front desk at night to the doctor that sees you, you’ll feel welcome and treated with dignity. I am so thankful that I’ve chosen to go to them on 7/18/2018.
Waited with 1 yr for long time. On asking how long is the wait no one could answer. With very young peds pt they shld do better. Had to cancel my appt and left.
My experience with MEEI was less than stellar, not that anyone employed by the infirmary gives a hoot. The small waiting room was crammed with people, with one man openly bleeding from an eye and an ear. His wife said they had been waiting …
Medical providers are great and service good, except for Optical Shop where l had to wait three years for eye glasses, needed another prescription and yet another appointment for new prescription nine months ago and after three years the …
My experience with Mass Eye and Ear with Doctor Matthew R Naunheim was outstanding could not have had a better Doctor. I cannot say enough about Doctor Naunheim. The Dr made all the right decisions for my vocal cord cancer. Thank you Doctor for everything. If you want the best choose Mass Eye and Ear with Doctor Naunheim.
Medical staff is great. Can have long waits but gotten better over the years. Expensive if paying out of pocket. Billed us twice for service and haven’t refunded. Will not do tele consulting. Don’t follow up on inquiries. Going there for 40 years but looking elsewhere now.
I had to help my friend communicate with the staff of Dr Michael S. Cohen, MD to arrange an apt. and they were wonderful, so patient and so caring! I’m sure they’ll be in great hands
This is specifically for the Optical Shop at the Hospital.
If one has a chance, speak with Patrick. He has been tremendously helpful during one visit. Recently, I returned to buy new glasses and dealt with an Asian …
Very bad experience today with the customer service. We’ve been waiting in the MEEI Emergency Room for a little over two hours today. We saw a few people (like 6 or 7) come and go so we decided to ask how many people were ahead of us. The …
Last Thursday my daughter had surgery, it was a great experience all around. The staff in the 6th Floor Surgical Suite were helpful, communicative, and competent. So glad we had the procedure performed here! Kudos.
Blessed to live in MA and have the best hospitals. Met with Dr Issac Wasserman yesterday and he was so helpful. Great Dr who listened and explained everything to me. Thank you MEE!
From the moment we brought my eight year old son through the doors of the Emergency Room yesterday, the staff was friendly, professional, and extremely caring . The doctor and nurses were extremely patient in helping my son. We can’t say enough about the care he received. We want to thank everyone yesterday who had helped us!
Sitting in a full ER now with my daughter who has severe throat pain. They’re bringing patients in almost every 10 minutes. This is the place that brought relief within 24 hours to my son who had a similar illness last year after other doctors failed to treat the illness within two weeks.
I live in NH, so I dread driving 2 hrs each way to my MEE appointments. I was having some concerning symptoms, my specialist is so busy that I was not able to get in to see him and was advised to go to the ER. I debated trying one of the …
I just had strabismus (double vision) correction surgery by Dr. Dean Cestari and cannot say enough good things about the experience. The staff was caring, congenial, and upbeat. Dr. Cestari was clearly an expert in this field and was open …
Never had a bad experience like that before in my life, about the waiting time in any other emergency room. Today July, 5, 2019, the registering time was 11:30 and now at 6:00pm my husband still here waiting to be seeing by the doctor!!!!! What is going on at the Mass General as a“reference”hospital????????????
I couldn’t get a appt with this place because they refused to communicate with me other than phone calls. I’m not sure how I was supposed to do that while Im hard of hearing. They were also abusive asking me patronizingly how I can do a …
I had a corneal transplant in New York and throughout the week I broke one of the stitches. I went to see a Doctor at Mass Eye and Ear to remove a broken stitch. The doctor improperly removed the stitch, I woke up the next day with the same …
Brought Mom for a scheduled appt with Dr. Cestari. Waited 2 hours to see the doc and then he popped in and out of the room–forgot paperwork, had to leave to get it, apologized and left again. He was not attentive and clearly had other …

I am 47 Years old and I have been coming to M.E.&E. since the mid 90s. M.E.&E. I have gotten my eye glasses and contacts here since I started coming here. But yesterday I was told by the Optical dept. they don’t take my insurance which is …
I had a very unethical experience at this place. I called in to make an appointment with an ENT. The day of my appointment the MD says she is a brain Doctor. She couldn’t even bring to herself to say what she was, a psychiatrist. I booked …
I really wish the actual doctor or physician would spend a little bit more time reading the patients medical history and learning all they need to know before jumping to conclusions and coming up a with a better plan for the patient. I felt …
On December 28th, I had to visit MEEI ER as my cochlear was not working. The staff were professional and unfortunately they could not determine why my cochlear was not working. As I sat in the waiting area, I could not help but notice the …
This is the best Eye and Ear Hospital, definitely better than the local ENT doctors. I had ear drum reconstruction and had a tube installed due to frequent ear infections and the whole process was great. The staff is super friendly, the whole procedure was excellent, here I am a few months later, and no ear infections.
Awful. I went in for surgery on my NOSE and the nurses were looking at my body saying I had 17 bruises.
I am 25 years old and they went to my father, grandmother, and mother and told …

Came in with an emergency with my daughter and received excellent care! Wait time was what to be expected for an er and worth the wait for the care we received! Nurses and doctor were kind, professional and knowledgeable! We are very lucky to be in driving distance of such top notch care!
I knew while working in Boston, that having my strabismus looked over at Mass Eye and Ear was the answer. With a place like MEE, it is obvious that Dr. Cestari and team exceeded all expectations from my first visit to my last follow-up. …
Not really a complaint towards the hospital itself, but the people they hire for the valet are the rudest I’ve ever had to deal with. I brought my sister here for appointments because she is getting eye surgery. Not only did they not let …
As I’m writing this review I have been waiting for over 3 hours to be seen. I received a text confirmation confirming my appt. this morning and I arrived at 9:30am and currently it is 12:45pm. It’s unacceptable to have patients wait this …
I needed cataract surgery but also had prior eye disease, and was referred to MEEI and Dr. Ula Jurkunas for this. I am a physician and myself trained in Boston, so I was quite aware of the facility. I have now had both eyes operated on …
patient care was quite good , operation was flawless. Admin is a real mess ,they made a mess of my ‘return to work ‘paper work , still out of work a week and a half after the stitches were removed,my company medical department still hasn’t received the required forms and my FMLA forms are missing in action.
Dr. Cestari and his staff were true professionals through and through. They made me feel confident and educated on the medical issue and surgery I underwent. The results are astounding as they reduced my double vision and really helped improve my overall quality of life.
Please read this before you decide to use MEE as a final opinion on your health issue. I visited MEE on October 10 2017 with a very rare form of eye cancer called conjunctival melonoma. On the MEE website it clearly states that 50 people a …

My follow up appointment took 3 hours only to see the doctor for all of 15 minutes tops. It is a constant sit around and wait, then they take you in a room only to wait again. The doctor finally arrives and the appointment only took 15 minutes. Frustrating..

I’ve never seen such bad service. Organizational fact … the waiting period is very long , put other people in front of you,and you arrived 1 hour ago. A hospital like this should have more respect for patients who came first, they need to be honored. This hospital needs to be more organized.
I have had work done on both my eyes and ears here. I’ve had cataract surgery on both eyes by Sherleen Chen who does outstanding work. And recently I have been dealing with hearing loss at the audiology department. Have had some new hearing aids specifically made for my hearing loss and I can’t believe the difference. Thankyou

I would like to take this opportunity to praise Rupal. She is an outstanding audiologist. She is very professional and went above and beyond. She was very patient and didn’t rush us. She listened to any concerns we had and put us at ease. I …
Very convenient, friendly staff and doctors, easy to navigate. Comfortable setting. Wait time when I last went was super fast. They said that it was a good day. Usually the wait in the past has been an hour to 2 hours at times. So important …
At first I thought everything was fine, appointment was standard and service was not bad. However, a half blind orangutan will give you better customer service, than these guys. They essentially gave me the prescription for glasses instead …
Great experience at first hesitant because it was far from where I live but took a uber was attended great by the staff better than Salem NSE and my doctor that attended me explained everything details word for word x3 was in so much pain …
Called in to make an appointment and the rep wanted all of this personal information to make an appointment, including SSN and mother’s maiden name. I asked him to delete the information and when I called back to speak to someone else it was still there. Troubling experience.
When taking an appointment with this place I was thinking that finally I will have to see a doctor who can talk, act and behave as a doctor. Sadly I realized that they are not that different from the previous ones I met, terrible as …
I was lucky enough to come to this world’s best country, and the best hospital. Last week my right eye pressure suddenly dropped to 68, and I can’t see anything. The ambulance rushed me to Massachusetts General Hospital Eye Hospital. Dr. …
I went to the emergency rooms and waited for 4 hours. I didn’t take care of myself. I attended to eye problems and I have ear problems. They completely ignored me. I never went back to that emergency room again and also the receptionist treated me badly because I begged him to attend that I have a baby to breastfeed.
The staff is not capable of communicating with the patient, just present for a free paycheck, free bom boms and free coffee. Because the staff does do their job the patient gets screamed at, to the point of being sick for no reason and …
I was born with hearing loss so when I moved to Massachusetts I was excited to go to Massachusetts Eye and Ear for treatment. The doctor had a student with him and was much more interested in talking to the student than talking to me. He …
Two different phone receptionist hanged up the phone on me. The 3rd one was a nice older lady she said her name and was very professional. However the first two never stated their name and handed up on me few mins within the call. One …
We went there on 01/20/23 ER for an eye problem. Excellent. It took a while, it is an Emergency Room after all. Fully solved, nice & efficient people. Thank you!
I have not yet seen a doctor so my rating is strictly based on current 2022 scheduling/front desk office staff. I have been calling them repeatedly for over a month regarding an urgent medical situation after numerous referrals. I am simply …
Longe wait time at emergency. Other patients checked in hours after me , were seen before me . Not satisfied at all at this facility at all. The check in/ registration ladies are terrible in courtesy and respect ! 3rd world care.
Wouldn’t it be nice if excellence were always recognized and appreciated? Dr. Meeker is my idea of what I consider to be a true professional. His easy, pleasant demeanor facilitates that which is a complicated, convoluted process in its own right.
The entrance is a literal death trap for disabled people. This “construction” has been going on for years and years and it’s only getting more dangerous. My mom had to use all her strength to make sure my wheelchair didn’t roll down the …
Clear the day if you have an appointment. Had an appointment at 2pmand was stuck waiting until 6:37pm and was never seen . Happened three times . All they want is the money or you to show up. And they lie about prescriptions AND to make …
After receiving 1 dose of J&J I developed severe headaches, vertigo, and most notably extreme tinnitus/ringing in my ears within about 48 hours. Doctor after doctor I had my symptoms ignored. Finally I went to Mass Eye and Ear. The first …
Horrible customer service. The receptionists were exceptionally rude. Appointments are booked for times and they make you wait without any time expectations and when you ask for updates they tell you to take a seat. No common courtesy or professionalism
Lack of compassion and understanding. Poor customer service. Sarcasm. The staff at the front desk aren’t qualified to do their job if they can’t nicely speak to patients with cancer and other serious complications. Also, they’re clueless …
The pediatric surgery team was excellent, they made my son feel so at ease both before and after his surgery. The staff is calm and positive, with a lot of distractions for the children like music therapy, tablets, movies and toys. A cannot …
The main reason why I’m giving the Mass Eye and Ear three stars as opposed to five stars is because there appears to be a major staffing shortage at this facility during the overnight hours. Early yesterday morning (12/27/2022), I came into …
The entire team at Mass Eye and Ear, including the talented and caring nurses and the brilliant doctors, met and exceeded my high expectations for this hospital. I was there for day surgery and from admission to discharge, I was so well …
Doctors are fantastic but avoid the ER at all costs. Desk staff is just mean and seem to resent patients. I consider myself pretty relaxed and low maintenance; I don’t know if they were having a bad day or what but I’ve never felt more isolated and vulnerable. I will never ever go back.
Overall experience at the hospital with doctor & nurse team was great but the billing team could do better. They’re trying to bill me twice even I tried my best to pay in a timely manner on 6/2 already. …

Beautiful view from doctor’s waiting area
Waiting time is awful.Nobody seems to care
Great place especially for pediatric Opthalmology.
Great friendly caring staff.
They worked hard to save my eye.
Very friendly staff
Waited over 40 min. Receptionist was mean… what’s wrong with those guys?
I bring my son here, great doctors and staff!
Only place to go for my ear problems! Dr. Jung and staff are UNBELIEVABLE! !!
Best specialists in the world work here..also it is easy to get to…
Each member of the staff is patient and personable. A++
TERRIBLE!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
These people do not know what they’re doing, and you would be wise to steer clear
Left after 6 hours in waiting room.
Awesome staff….called at 2am with metal in eye…….took me right in and took care of my eye….cant say enough they are the best..
Excellent team, professional and helpful.
It has been upgraded since my last visit and it looks real cool
What’s the point of telling us to email the patient relations department if you are never gonna get back to us
Fantastic. Except parking is 14$! Loved the fish in the waiting room
I work here, but Google still made me review it without any other option… So here’s five stars!
I was treated like an actual human being here. Profesional and attentive to patients.
Great medical doctors and staff for my eye care.
The place is very clean and organized! The doctor and employees are very nice!
Level of expertise in treating Glaucoma after seeing opthomologists who did not catch symptoms of Glaucoma
Cold and impersonal staff. Way too expensive. The doctors treat you like customers, not people.
Thanks to the Mass eye and ear for helping me out with the thyroid cancer
I would like to recommend dr Randolph he is a world wide known doc and he is very nice and caring and he is compassionate and very happy to help and he explains things
Top ranked hospital in Nation. I am very lucky to have been trained as a doctor here.
Personable, friendly, efficient and right to the point doctors. Best around for thyroid cancer.
Dr. Dreschler really does have the hands of god. Everyone was absolutely amazing. Wonderful care.
Dr Randolph is the best!I am very lucky to have found him!worth the wait!best anywhere in the world People should be greatful.
A well known medical institute in Boston. Good, professional services. Parking can be difficult.
We are sitting here waiting to be seen in the ER on hour number 4 of wait time. UGH. You have an emergency – please go someplace else. Plenty of support stag. No doctors
Dr.Cestari was beyond amazing i recommend him to everyone who has any eye alignment issues .
Absolutely amazing place. The staff was very helpful, the doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and I had a great experience!
This is my second experience at Mass. Eye and Ear – stay away – people are rude and dismissive. And even the eye surgeons are obnoxious.
I always arrive early to beat the traffic. My usual appointments are first thing in am, 8am to 9am.
Travel is opposite of main traffic when I leave.
I was misdiagnosed at a previous doctors office and wanted a referral to get my ear checked out by someone else so I went to MEEI and I’ve been going here for 5 years now, hands down best staff and doctors!
Outstanding. Best medical, nursing, and general care I’ve ever experienced. Also some of the best views, doesn’t hurt!
The hospital and nurse staff are 5 star what brings this place down is not all but most ot there lna not one shower or bath well I was here other than the one I asked for shame
With a name like Mass Eye and Ear, you’d think they’d be able to read a chart before medicating a breastfeeding woman with Xanax.
More than pleased with the outcome of my eye operation. I am also very pleased with Doctor Cestari .- Charlotte Kippin
OK E.R was Packed just a warning its a long wait on weekends. Doctors are very friendly. And caring. There then that was treated well
The wait time is horrible.
They started working at9 am like a provate office.
exam rooms dirty staff and cleaning woman not concerned. Crumpled up tissues on the floor.
Dr Michael k yoon changed my life forever.Dr yoon is so warm welcoming and dedicated to his profession.Dr yoon deserve an award for handling his patients so well.thank you so much Dr yoon.
Nice receptionists and Securities. Awesome doctors, residents and nurses. They saved my eyes!
Worth of the worth
I have been in a lot of pain for 2 hours waiting in emergency room alone no dr no nurse …
Been a patient of Dr Raza Dana for 8 + years . He always takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain treatments to me .
Hi i dnt know about mass eye and earing hospital but i read one news that i have modarate sensory nerve hearing loss is there any treatment present not hearing aids bcoz hearing loss not suitable for me
The doctors I’ve seen have all been great. Trying to get through to book or cancel an appointment is extremely difficult however.
One of the best service I ever got. I had my ear surgery and got back my hearing. Amazing medical and administrative staffs and outstanding service.
First class hospital. From the staff to the doctors everyone was welcoming and considerate.
These Doctors saved my eye. Knowing what I know now, I would never go anywhere else for eye emergencies or issues. I am incredibly thankful to have found them!
I had surgery couple days ago, and every single person was extremely nice and did thier job very well.
went into the ER with horrible tinnitus that still hasn’t gone away and the doctor told me to do ketamine about it.
Dr Ivana Kim is an excellent doctor (retina) who shows genuine care for her patients and has a well organized department; you can
trust her competence
This hopsital is well run. Its clean and bright. The staff is always pleasant. I have been going here for years for my eye check ups and would even fly back if i ever moved away.

Fantastic! In and out in 75 minutes after minor ear skin drainage surgery by Dr. Isaac Wasserman. An excellent experience, thank you!

This is the best Eye and Ear Hospital, definitely better than the local ENT doctors. I had ear drum reconstruction and had a tube installed due to frequent ear infections and the whole process was great. The staff is super friendly, the whole procedure was excellent, here I am a few months later, and no ear infections.
Awful. I went in for surgery on my NOSE and the nurses were looking at my body saying I had 17 bruises.

Dr. Cestari and his staff were true professionals through and through. They made me feel confident and educated on the medical issue and surgery I underwent. The results are astounding as they reduced my double vision and really helped improve my overall quality of life.

I has a very basic sinus surgery at the 800 Huntington Ave location that required 2 pre-op appointments and 3 post-op appointments. I thought this seemed excessive until I realized that MEE was billing every appointment as a outpatient …
Excellent doctors, but abusive billing practices and horrible customer service. I picked up 4 boxes of contact lenses on 12/20, paid for them on the spot with a credit card, and was issued a receipt. Less than a month later I received a …
I have been going to Mass Eye and Ear in Boston for many years. The Dortors are great, but the front desk staff are not professional, not helpful. Last week I went to my appointment at Boston. A older white woman was at the front desk, …

My follow up appointment took 3 hours only to see the doctor for all of 15 minutes tops. It is a constant sit around and wait, then they take you in a room only to wait again. The doctor finally arrives and the appointment only took 15 minutes. Frustrating..
Dr. Wang is the exemplar of a fine doctor: incomparable expertise and skill combined with a forthright level of communication and genuine caring. In the evening after the cataract procedure on each eye, he called me at home to see how I was …
Last week, I had an MRI with and without contrast and the experience was so much easier than I expected, The MRI technicians, Barbara and Bill, were exceptionally kind and patient with me, especially because I suffer from claustrophobia. …
Thankyou
I have been sitting in the ER with my Fiance since 2pm for his eye injury and it is now past 8pm and still hasn’t been seen yet. This is ridiculous 🤦♀️ …
Yes, it is small, and yes we had a long wait. 5 hours. But people who were much worse off than us went before us – as they should in an emergency ward. Triage did their job. …
Had a less than stellar initial appointment. In at 1:50 for a 2:00. At 2:30 I ask when I’ll be seen. They get me in, doctor is great. They take my phone # on a post it note and say someone will call me to set up appointments for my …

I travelled an hour to be seen here for issues with my ears and was very pleased with my experience. I didn’t have to wait long at all, even with quite a few people in the waiting room… maybe 10 minutes and was seen very quickly after …
What a bunch of crooks and thieves. We have been dealing with fraudulent billing from them, adding money to an already agreed upon payment plan. Trying to strong arm us into paying without providing proof, once “proof” was provided we …
So I waited for hours for a standard eye exam at MEEI. Got prescription and brought to my eyeglass store I always go to for reading glasses. Ordered two pair of reading glasses. Surprised that I could not read with the two new pair, my old …

Low quality operation, poor management, not science based, blames and charges you for their mistakes and policy problems. Unable to find alternatives when their ill conceived system breaks down. Far more concerned with profit than …
My experience had been good at this ENT mass general.
Just want to commend the staff who have tended to my father-in-law, since his diagnosis with Throat cancer back in November. He has had to endure a couple emergency trips to MEE ER, been admitted a couple times and they always seem to get …
I took my 2 sons to Mass, eye and ear for an evaluation. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They offer very affordable valet service and we even got new masks right at the entrance. (The kids liked the mickey mouse masks). The doctor …

Mass Eye and Ear is a great place and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Everyone I have encountered there is welcoming and helpful. From the greeters who make sure you know where you’re going, to receptionists, medical assistants, …
Spent a solid chunk of time giving my info just to have them not even try to set up an appointment with me over the phone. I wish I would’ve been told that wouldn’t before giving them all of my personal information.
After experiencing a traumatic eye injury at my place of work I was transferred from UMass to Mass Eye & Ear. From the emergency dept to inpatient and emergency surgery I knew I was right where I needed to be. The level of comfort and …

I recently had surgery through Mass Eye and Ear in the Boston hospital and outpatient at Stoneham. I could not have had a better or more positive experience with the nurses and my surgeon, Dr. Michael Rho. I was incredibly nervous to get …
This is a hospital that should not be licensed. The absolute worst facility in the Commonwealth of Mass in every respect. Did not answer their phone for patient services for months in the early days of Covid. Advocacy could not even get to …
Ophthalmological advances take centuries, with today’s technology it is incredible that blurred vision caused by a corneal scar cannot be cured, I have read on this site that by mid-2022 they would have gelcore, which is a biodegradable gel …

If I could give negative stars I would…4 hours for a eye exam because they misplaced my chart LOL what a joke
Wow, I was going to call this supposedly great hospital to make an appointment for myself for something. But after reading these reviews, forget it.
Everyone going to Mass eye emergency room is already having a really bad day and not much is going to change that. The people who work here do a great job picking up the pieces to help put your life back together. I showed up in2006 blind …
The worst place ever going to the emergency. Expect to wait over 8+ hours. probably short on staff. Rather call around for available ophthalmologist during the weekend.
Dr. Mai, Dr. Vu, and all of the staff at Mass Eye and Ear took wonderful care of my dad when he needed emergency glaucoma surgery. They were informative, patient, incredibly kind, and made a stressful health event easier. One of the nurses …
Had an absolutely terrible experience here at Mass. Eye and Ear. I came for a quick ear checkup and was told that my appointment would be completely covered by insurance. Instead, I was roped into a MULTI HOUR evaluation process that ended …
The front desk and assistant staff were polite and we didn’t have to wait long, but those were the only good things to happen. The doctor I saw was rude, dismissive, wouldn’t listen, and generally left me feeling more lost and alone. I …
Horrible experience! I went into the emergency room for a serious issue, and had tests done, then the doctor said to come back for more tests the next day. I then waited 2 hours the next day for that specific appt.,- let me repeat 2 hours, …
I had to call twice to make an appointment. The first time I was on hold for about 10 minutes then couldn’t spend any more time on it so had to hang up. I tried again and was on hold for almost 25 minutes before getting to talk to a person …
Very disappointing and unexpected experience on October 11, 2021. I arrived early on the 12th floor of 243 Charles Street for my appointment at 12:30 pm. There was no scheduler to check patients in and patients who showed up were …
Fantastic experience seeing Anna Y. Choi-Farshi both before and after my surgery to remove a vocal cord polyp. Wish I’d seen someone like her years earlier; if I had the surgery might not have been needed. But as it was, tremendously grateful to find her and the team at MEEI when I did.
I love this place! Dr Hadlock and her team are very energetic and very knowledgeable! Today was just the consolation but being there inspired me and gave me some much needed hope and confidence. I really can’t wait to get my procedure’s …
I drove 2 hours from western mass to check out the vision rehabilitation department. The entire staff, including reception were incredibly friendly. I saw Dr. Lee, and I left understanding my vision decline better then anyone had ever …
This review is for Dr. Roberto Pineda and Dr. Amy Scally. They are kind and top notch clinicians. Despite a challenging work environment, they continue to smile and focus on how to best care for their patients. I know I am in the best hands with them whenever I have an appointment. Thank you, Drs. Pineda and Scally!
My son recently had ear surgery and the entire staff that we dealt with was professional and courteous. They answered all our questions and made sure my son (who is 12) knew exactly what was happening and when. They kept me updated and I …
Made an appointment 2 months in advance because that was how long the wait was, for a 3pm appointment. Arranged to work a half day so I could leave work and make it to the appointment. They called the MORNING OF THE DAY OF appointment and …
Other reviewers weren’t kidding about their absolutely criminal billing practices. Was billed more than $6000 to have evaluated a hole in my septum caused by a botched rhinoplasty. The visit was quite literally 3 minutes… the doctor walked …
This is not a review of the doctor but Mass Eye and Ear’s main campus. I visited Dr. Hatch for post op appointments and the wait at the main campus was 2-3 hours long each time. The assistants mentioned that this was not unusual. One of …
I would like to take this opportunity to praise Rupal.
