Navasota Valley Electricity Cooperative Reviews ( 47 )
Five days without power, and when the power came back on, it was intermittent. Had to run generators for more than five days to keep freezer and refrigerator cold. Never any communication as to what to expect. I have two different …
Outages during ice storms happen, but to falsely send us a call and text that our power has been restored only for us to drive back an hour from staying with family to discover our house is still without power is just awful business …
Yeah their phone system it’s not the world’s best every storm comes through here we always lose lights and it’s awful difficult when people are in wheelchairs to move around
Have been with this company for years, if I had the ability to go to a different company I would. Almost EVERY storm that comes we lose power for hours.
I don’t have this company but their crews just came down my driveway like it was the Texas speedway and collapsed my culvert by turning around in my driveway and tore up our road. 😡😡 …
If they weren’t a monopoly, we wouldn’t even use them. Paid $300 on a Tuesday at 8 am, and didn’t have power at my residence until 3 days later. They messed up our account info and made it difficult for days.
Navasota Valley Electric Co-Op is absolutely trash customer service is trash if it rains snow or windy power is always out then it takes them days to get it back going you can’t get any other electric service in the area so they don’t care …
While most of the big cities are without service, thank you Navasota for keeping the power on without interruption during this catastrophic freeze! Much appreciated.
Slowest web site ever. Can’t log in most of the time. Usually because the log-in box NEVER pops up. What’s their web site running on? an IBM PC XT? With floppy drives?
I am so disappointed, we didn’t have electricity for almost 2 week whenever we had the snow storm and they are still charging us a ridiculous amount of electric. They said that they are not discounting anything, that they are still charging like if we had electricity for those days!!!! What kind of electricity company is this????? 😡😡😡😡 …
Worst service I have ever had in 50 years, electricity has been out for 6 hours it is unbelievable it can take that long to fix it. No respect for customers or their well-being
Just plain ridiculous after 2 days w/o power,on 3rd day calling you all claim that nobody call a outage 7hrs later power finally back on.s/n next morning lights are back off.
They called me to tell me what my fee would be for the new place that me and my husband will soon be moving into. I spoke to an unpleasant Jessica. When I questioned her as to why I got the fee that I got and asked to see if she could make …
George clearly explained one route that was expensive and involved obtaining an easement from a neighboring property. Since then I am enquiring on other possible routes. …
We have lived a lot of places across the U.S. and NEVER have we had so many power outages (ALL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR) as we do in Oakwood. And I agree with the last post, this company gets a 0 review from us.
I have had service with Navasota Valley since 2013 and have always had great service. They had to move my neighbors pole and at the same time I had them move one of mine. They did this work plus some additional and they financed all the work for me. Great Company and Great Service going on 4 years.
Although is it is now August 7, I am concerned why my second security pole light still is off ,where it is scary darkness, and it has been off since July 27. evenithccccchavccallccalled, havseen no activit numbers of times.
Thank you guys and gals for getting the electric back on. There is ice on all the trees and power lines I appreciate the linemen getting out in this miserable weather. Rural residents expect outages with this kind of weather and appreciate the work it takes to keep our lights and heaters on. Thank you.
City folk just don’t understand when they come to live out here… NVEC is always EXTREMELY prompt, and very informative and respectable when it comes to our storm outages. It is NEVER the power company’s fault when Mother Nature decides to …
NVEC is a great company. They have been our electric service provider for 25 years. I know when we have had problems or power outages NVEC has been quick to respond. 5 Star is good if there were 10 stars I would give them 10!! Excellent!
Day 7 without power and not even surprised because almost every time there’s a storm the lights go out. Navasota Valley Electric is by far the WORST electrical company I’ve ever had to deal and any potential new customer should beware of them.
I have been a customer and member of this Eletric Coroporative for 32 years. Their record is outstanding. The Really terrible cold and miserable weather in February of this year strained all electric companies. The linemen were out there …
We have been members for over 30 years and we have had outages over the years but the crew has always worked quickly to get our service restored. They always work hard to do what is in their power due to the weather we have at the time.
You can’t give them a zero but without fail everytime a storm hits expect an outage and expect a long outage because they never prepare for anything so when it hits you are sol.
Terrible service and extremely high prices. We’ve lived in Hilltop Lakes for 3 years and are so disappointed in NVEC. Customer service is terrible…it takes months and multiple phone calls to get simple tasks done…example…set up on auto …
The only reason for one star is because Google won’t let me give them zero. For years NVEC has neglected their system while charging some of the highest prices in Texas. What are they doing with the money? …
I keep trying to understand why it is you cannot speak to an actual person during outages. we are at the end of the line from where our power comes from and every time there is an outage we are 3 to 4 days getting back up. Its getting …
Navasota is usually very good at fixing problems quickly, but for the past week, we have had no electricity for several hours EACH DAY and NVEC is not even answering the phone to be able to report the outages. And a slow, gentle rain should …

Crappy service….power outages for hours

Always quick to address issues on the rare occasion they come up. Top notch service.
WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. IF THERE WAS EVER A NEED FOR GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT THESE PEOPLE DESERVE IT!!!!
Bad customer service.God awful provider.Not to mention automated system is the worst.Trust me.If I could give a 0 ( Zero ) i would.
Been out of power for almost 48 hours. When will we have power back?
We have had NVEC for 20+ years. We hardly ever have loss of service and when we do they are quick to respond!
Yeah their phone system it’s not the world’s best every storm comes through here we always lose lights and it’s awful difficult when people are in wheelchairs to move around
They are quick to respond and due diligence. Yes, sometimes the outage may be for hours but they stay with it until it is solved.
I thinkyou guys are AWESOME! Being out in this unrelenting weather is a job for very few people. Thank you so much for all you do.
They got nice people working there
Have been with this company for years, if I had the ability to go to a different company I would. Almost EVERY storm that comes we lose power for hours.
One of the best electricity providers I have ever used. Always a prompt response when there is a power outage.
I’ve had nothing but good from NVEC….in fact they came today put new power pole up…very diligent and everyone friendly……..

How am I paying so much for electricity when the power goes out every time it rains?
Navasota Valley Electric Co-Op is absolutely trash customer service is trash if it rains snow or windy power is always out then it takes them days to get it back going you can’t get any other electric service in the area so they don’t care …
Power goes out everytime the wind blows. When it goes out it’s out for 8-48 hours. Highest rates I’ve ever paid. Terrible service.
While most of the big cities are without service, thank you Navasota for keeping the power on without interruption during this catastrophic freeze! Much appreciated.
Power has been out since Feb. 11th for us and our neighbors. Came on briefly and back out. Everything is frozen.
Over 20 yrs can count outage’s on 1 hand. Great service.

We in our community have been out of electricity for going ten days, 7 meters, on cnty rd 481 and 471 in Dew, Tx area
