  1. This was the worst hospital I’ve stayed in, communication was horrible between staff and the care was very insensitive, nurses and techs need sensitivity training. Discharge was cold and uncaring. Hope I never have to stay in this hospital again. The only pleasant thing was the food believe it or not.

  2. This hospital is terrible. I wouldn’t bring a dying dog here. It takes forever to get things done for my mother in law who is a patient here. She’s 88 years old and getting terrible care. She has a tube down her nose so they won’t transfer her to another hospital.

  7. My only complaint was my roommate who had her TV blasting all night and instead of using her call button would yell HELP all night. Not the hospitals fault. My nurse was Victoria and she was amazing!!

  8. The worst hospital I have ever been too. The nurse said I said things that where not true she turned around what I said so I am being discharged before I should be. All of the medical I have received since moving to Florida has been the worse I’ve ever recieved.

  9. Some of the staff was very good and caring to both my husband’s and my family’s needs and were much appreciated. Some were gruff and not so caring. My main complaint would involve two things. One is the lack of continuity of care among the …

  13. A really excellent hospital that is short staffed due to medical personnel response to Covid. I received very good care except for lack of pain meds I was already on before my hospital visit. Made my hospital stay pretty uncomfortable. Never saw my hospitalist.

  14. I was like the only person there and I clearly was sick but they didn’t do anything about it. They did 1 test for my breathing and wasn’t going to give me any medication until I had to say something. They didn’t check to see if I had covid or flu. They just didn’t want to work that morning.

  15. Nurses very kind. However, transfer from gurney to table both for procedure snd for CT scan was clumsy and difficult, with no assistance from nurses or whoever was handling it. Expected release at 1:00 did not occur until 4:00 pm with no …

  21. I am so appreciative of the Trauma Team and all staff. Dr. Ang, Dr. McClain, Dr. Shen, Dr. Gupta and all of the staff did a superb job with my mom. I was so impressed with the team work and the calm approach the team displayed in such a critical situation. Attentiveness was something of amazing.

  22. I have a defibrillator. Vitals taken on monitor showed HR of 35. Instead of the nurse using a stethoscope and listening to the Apical rate or by counting the radial pulse she relied on the Dynamap. Anesthesia might have counted 5 seconds. …

  23. The hospital staff was excellent the care was more than expected. I was treated with compassion and care during my surgical experience. I would highly recommend the day surgery at Ocala Regional Hospital.

  24. Great experience … scheduling, pre-registering, portal access [especially screening & heath document uploads] procedure and staff (check-in and procedure). Medical and support staff seem to appreciate customers with a smile and feedback. First 7 months of medical support in Ocala have worked out great.

  25. I don’t remember much, the Dr was nice in the Er. We just found out last week there was an X- ray done and didn’t get the results, she passed away in the ER. All we want are the results of this x-ray but im being transferred all over then …

  31. I have visited this hospital several times. Everything about it is first class. Fantastic staff to say the least. I am 74 years old and have lived around the world. Without question, HCA Ocala has the best nursing staff I have had the pleasure to take care of me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  32. I was treated with dignity and respect. The nurses were great. Dr. Goldstein my orthopedic doctor came in to see me before surgery as did the head of anesthesiology. The anesthesiologist that put me out actually spent time talking to me …

  33. We arrived at about 6:30pm for a injury that was going to need stitches. I really thought it would be a long wait as they had an incoming trauma but I was wrong. My husband was assessed and moved to the side handling minor injuries. We were home by 9 pm. The NP was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. I highly recommend this ER.

  34. Staff were wonderful especially my nurses Katrina and Jocelyn. Food was great – best I’ve had in a hospital. Everyone seemed to bend over backwards to help me and make my stay a pleasing experience.

  35. I came in on the 30th and was very well taken care of by all the staff, I want to especially thank Nurse Moises for all his kindness and care and he definitely deserves nurse of the year. He’s super respectful and attended to all my needs. He went above and beyond for me and I appreciate that.

  37. Had a Watchman procedure on 8/26. All went as expected. The central registration staff were wonderful… even at 5:30 AM! RN Melody in the cath lab prep area is a wonderful nurse, the attending and PGY3 anesthesia docs were excellent, and Dr Acevedo is the best. Very happy Dr Acevedo is now at HCA Ocala which is my hospital of choice.

  40. The nursing staff was amazing, the doctors were very informative. However, the phlebotomy department has least to be said about . They’re rude, disrespectful and unapologetic. Til this day I’m still waiting for some kind of apology from them , however I guess that’s never going to happen. Again big thumbs-up to the nursing staff.

  41. I have been a patient at West Marion Hospital on several occasions between Dec 10, 2022, and Dec1, 2021. I have to say that every experience I have had with West Marion has been the most professional I have every encountered. Starting with …

  42. Terrible customer care. Admitted, never given socks or gown. Arrived naked from ambulance. Utter confused staff, not very professional. My dog gets better treatment at the vets office. Took several days to get glown and slippers. Could not get an additional breathing treatment. Not focused on patient care

  43. I don’t suggest you go here even if you’re dying unless you have insurance that will pay them top dollar. I can only assume that having Medicaid raised a flag and encouraged Dr. Kenneth Barrick to ignore my symptoms and avoid offering me …

  44. In short, a long drawn out comedy of errors. Was there for 4 hours waiting on blood results which they forgot to draw until 2 hours into my visit. The system of doing patient care in the waiting room is not beneficial for the patients …

  45. We were very satisfied with my care there for my procedure. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses ,we choose non-blood management and my nurse Angela was very helpful and made sure my DPA was in my file and my paperwork was clear about my wishes. She went above and beyond and was so kind and respectful.

  46. Everything about this hospital was great. Excellent care by truly compassionate caring employees. Had no issues with the facility, only with the doctor’s scheduling of procedures that day but has nothing to do with the hospital. I would be glad to come back to this hospital if it becomes necessary again.

  47. Such a busy busy place I was in the ER for such a long time waiting to be admitted to a room. When arriving in my room everything was a very clean and sterile. The food considering it came from the hospital was fairly good and fresh. Thanks so much for the expert care I received while I was there!

  51. I would give 10 stars if I could. I entered the ER needing my very set of stitches and from the first person I spoke to to the last my experience was wonderful. I appreciate the care I was provided! Triage nurses with a sense of humor are the best and make everything better!!!

  61. In the cardiac unit, a solid 30% of the folks who came in to draw blood, clean the room, and do other tasks are coming in fresh off a smoke break. The *Cardiac Unit* – you know, the one where there are a lot of patients with blockages and …
