As a local business we tried to give them our business, but after numerous mistakes, bad customer service and lack of understanding we cancelled our three accounts and moved to another local bank.
Laura Venturo helped with a number of translations and she was pleasant and very professional. I got everything I needed accomplished with her assistance.
No one greeded me They did not ask me how I want my cash There is a reason I go to certain branches Guess what I kept this account because When I first move to pt pleasant the branch was walking distance But people seem to be in a mood at this branch….Need some customer friendly agents.
Went to close my account and due to the fact that i opened it 2 months ago they wanted to charge me 35 dollars for early closing . I have to wait 6 months from open date to close it. Talk about legalized theft. I was closing the account due to higher than normal overdraft fees.
After the OceanFirst system update, the direct connect to OceanFirst through Quickbooks stopped working. Called 6x to get this resolved. Each time I am told that “Dan” is working on it and will call me back and I never get the call back. If you are looking to open a business account with OceanFirst, stay away and look somewhere else.
My neighborhood bank! Always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Love all they do for the community! Thanks for supporting our charity bike ride for MS!
Gerry from the Toms River Ocean First branch is a wonderful teller who is always eager to help. She has a very outgoing and friendly personality and is the only reason I transferred to Ocean first.
Recently teamed up with Sierra & William on a refinance and they were awesome. Clearskies Title & I will surely refer the Ocean First team to our clients.

Worst bank. Slow or broken online banking, and when it goes down they don’t notify you. It’s 2019. There’s no excuse for such horrible service.
