Don’t count on a human being doing anything at all for you or the prospect of anyone actually calling you back when you have someone in need of counseling.
Been to quite a few other facility’s similar as this one. This one is by far the best I’ve been to. Very clean and excellent staff. You are treated as an adult and not as a child like most places.
Seriously horrible experience. After calling and getting an appointment along with the pre screen they tell us their assessers have left and to basically get some narcan and come back tomorrrow. Very unprofessional and rude. I wouldn’t recommend this place anyone!!
Extremely unprofessional and
every staff member does not take care of their patients nor have any care for their mental health or well being! Please find a better place for your loved ones to go!
Went there years ago and I’ll never forget the level of unprofessionalism. I think the therapist and docs got their degrees online or at the lowest community college. Not to insult community colleges, but this place was ridiculous.
Very unprofessional and they treat you like your crazy and need refills and they say now they don’t accept my insurance and they are very rude and insensitive.
Don’t go here the quality of care has gone down hill.
Have been a client for around 10-15 years. Recently did not follow up in time so they discharged me without notice. They are no longer accepting new or return clients. They really don’t give a damn about the people they CLAIM TO HELP! Avoid if at all possible.
Penn Foundation should take people who are on medicare. People need help with their mental. Where are people who are on medicare suppose to go to get mental health care.
this place is an awful money scam, they held me for 30 weekly appointments ! I had no drugs in my system so they put me in for marijuana addiction! hah like that even exists, these people are nazis but worse because what they do actually affects my life. I really hope they all get ebola after how much money they took from me
Least understanding, least professional, least kind-hearted place I’ve ever come in contact with. The CA’s care and are sweet but the supervisors are just plain rude. Horrible rehab. Horrible staff. Might as well take subs yourself.
It depends on which person you see her. Some ppl are great at their jobs. Than again some of them suck at it. However you get that every where. It’s not like it was years ago, Dr’s have no bedside matter now. They do charge too much if you don’t have good insurance though.
Scheduling is a nightmare here. Well, it would be if it existed at all. Seriously, try calling this place for literally anything. You can’t contact anyone through their switchboard. You’re forced to leave a message that no one apparently …
Not helping my daughter who is homeless find housing while in recovery center. Thought they would have run into situations like this before especially with recovering addicts. Nothing there except sending to a different treatment facility
Wow. Reading all the rise complaints is amazing. People mad that they couldn’t get suddafed, lol complaining like they checked into a five five star hotel and didn’t have their coat taken off for them. I love how entitled addicts can be. …
My therapist there was not the least bit supportive. When the stopped taking my insurance for medication visits no one told me. I didn’t find out till I started getting bills after the visits. I already had 4 appointments by the time I found out.
Way too often I’m in the waiting area (maybe 10 feet from the windows where you check in at) and I can hear the staff’s conversations. Making fun of clients they’ve just spoken to. They don’t try to speak quietly. Extremely rude and unprofessional, especially when they laugh.
These people have never tried to understand me, a lot of my counselors would cop an additude with me when I was already there for communication issues. They also put me on lemitzyl I believe and my world fell apart. The staff has never been super friendly or assuring, I wish I could find a good dr. For mental health around here.
Good luck getting thru client registration is a mess i could’ve blown my brains out 5 times already if i wanted to. Ive been playing phone tag trying to get back with my old counselor here for a week now after i got out the hospital and …
Stayed here in the recovery center rehab. Had the time of my life and met some great people and great friends. Staff is also 5 stars. The techs have huge hearts and treat you with honesty kindess and respect. Love, mark g
Penn foundation was the reason I had 4 years sober after attending in 2010. I went there this past week and it is the worst facility I have ever attended. Dirty, very few employees, food so terrible that staff was forced to order pizza. If …
Penn Foundation saved my life and family from complete disaster. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable in recovery. Food and accommodations are great. Highly recommend PF. Thank you all!
My name’s Melissa Peterman (maiden name Moore) and I went to PFRC in 2010 for heroin addiction. High, mentally lost, and angry with my parents for giving me an ultimatum– rehab, or homeless. The rainy Monday morning I agreed for them to …
So I decided to come into rehab to over come my addiction I will not say they are mean bc there not they are very nice people willing to help out. But they would not talk to much about how to overcome your drug in a way I kinda felt like …
Don’t expect staff to be anything but rude. Front desk staff always act as though they are too busy and put off by any questions despite the fact that we have never been there during a time when I have seen a line. We had one staff member …
Penn foundation, while their intentions are good, are extremely unorganized. Booking an appointment is a nightmare. Urgency is almost nonexistent. The willingness to make things right when things go wrong on their behalf? Forget it. I don’t …
I received a prompt… on-the-day-I-walked-in bio-psycho-social evaluation. It was done in a professional matter. There was a glitch in communication with the Psychiatric NP concerning a med he prescribed me. I take part blame on that. And, …
My husbands psychiatrist is horrible. He suffers from severe insomnia. She wouldn’t even bother to listen to us asking for help. She spent about 5 minutes with us when it was a 40 minute appointment. She just kept saying there was nothing …
I went to the Penn Foundation in july of 2002, stayed 20 days. I am now 19 years and 6 months sober and thank them for their help in ataining sobriety. God bless them.

Don’t know much but the drop off process was super easy – the staff were super helpful and courteous. More than I can say for places that I’ve dealt with in the past. My daughter’s mother and my ex has been struggling for some and she’s not …
Unacceptable. They never answer the phones and if by chance someone does pick up their line, well what you get is a lot of attitude, no desire to provide any help. Your call is an inconvenience to these people. I needed a number for the …
Most of the ladies at the front are pretty good, but the women who operates the very first check out window usually has an attitude. She occupies an area with a sign that says “check in/out”, but mumbles under her breathe when you go to her …
I went here as a child and a couple years ago. Staff is very nice and it’s a nice place. But health insurance card was a problem and somewhat unorganized. This place is alright.
Apparently my last review of this facility was not too good of a look considering it has since been deleted. An update nonetheless; I’ve yet to receive that call from my last therapist’s supervisor and it’s been now 3 weeks since I was told I’d receive one. Super helpful and super prompt with service as always, Penn Foundation
Penn Foundation and all of their staff are extremely professional and know what they are doing and how to handle situations the correct way! I am proud to say that Penn Foundation saved my life and I now have over two years clean and I am …
I have been attending Penn Foundation for some time now. The psychologist I am seeing now, has me feeling increased depression along with increasing anxiety. She is also quite defensive towatd .e. I don’t know what to do about it.
I went to intake within a week of calling for the first time. The intake lady said we would likely get a call the next day. No call. No call for an entire week. Call them to check up on the status for when I can be scheduled next. No one answers. There’s no point in going to therapy if they don’t even care.
This is definitely not a very good option for someone in need of help. They have cancelled my therapy on numerous occasions and left me to suffer for weeks on end before giving me another therapist. They don’t have appointments consistently available and have no problem cancelling your therapy and letting you suffer.
Probably one of the worst places I think I’ve been. They cancelled my therapy with one therapist and sent me to another one after a two month wait. After those two months, I saw another therapist who was just rude and insensitive. The next …
3 stars for failure, 2 years ago told to be put on list for new patients and did. 1 year later no call email nothing. Checked to see. No record of me, told to put name on list. Hard pass.
I wish i could give no stars. i’ve been waiting for 6 months for a therapy appointment,i went through the intake process after having to wait for such a long time to even get that set up. i was told i’d get a call the same day to schedule …
I received therapy and psychiatrist services here and I do not recommend either. Therapists are overworked and have too large a caseload to care about you and that’s if you’re even lucky enough to get a therapist that can schedule you. Dr. …
Horrible. The services in general are good. But after you walk out the door it’s horrible. They lose your records, give you the run around. No matter how many release forms you sign you will NEVER receive your records and when you …
I went to this rehab feeling really lost, I went for 30 days. I told them I couldn’t go to. A long term rehab. After my 30 days because of school and my daughter. They then discharged me early. Drove me back to the city I’m from yet some …
Therapist violated my privacy even tho I signed the Hippa thing and it wasn’t anything about harm towards me or anyone. He didn’t listen. Would send my worst enemy here tho.
Actively s*icidal and finally got a psychiatrist to recommend me for ECT,. They told me “oh just call to schedule!” so I call probably like 5 different lines at the corresponding hospital to get through to someone who has NO idea what ECT …
Go anywhere else.
Web page is good.
This place saved my life!!
Everyone is experienced and helpful.
Excellent staff, very well maintained, good yoga.
Rotating door rehab program and drive thru mental health services providing no specialists
Got there at 12:30 and was put in a room for someone to be in with us “shortly” ended up leaving at 2:00 because no one gave us service.
Don’t count on a human being doing anything at all for you or the prospect of anyone actually calling you back when you have someone in need of counseling.
I believe that Penn Foundation showed me how to live again. I am going to be celebrating 1 year this month. Penn Foundation saved my lufe!

this “non-profit’ organization sure does charge a lot for a whole lot of nothing.
they are dishonest. …
Great place. They have always shown me compassion and taught me how to build a foundation for a healthy life.
My experience has been very positive. My therapist and doctor are empathetic and competent, with helpful staff & flexible appointment scheduling.
