Pioneer Electric Cooperative (OH) Reviews ( 16 )

  1. This place is very expensive they overcharge you and I was forced to pay a bill that the old tenant had left behind thank you love to recover all funds.

  2. Why is it so expensive? I just want to keep my house comfortably warm during the winter without paying an arm and leg. Is there any alternative options in Sidney?

  3. Extremely expensive! Don’t move to their service area. Stick with areas that dp&l service. I just bought a home in their area and will be selling it as soon as winter is over. Stay away my electric bill went up 60%

  4. Power has only gone off 2-3 times in almost 10 years. Always get to talk to a human when I call. This last time our power was out due to a bird shorting out the transformer and the repairman(Jeb) was here within 30 minutes of our call.

  5. terribly expensive. rate is double DP&L plus member fee. went from most expensive bill of 120 bucks to 180$ as my cheapest. This is for a home using less than 30kwh per day.

  6. Way too expensive. They charge a distribution charge that is over half the bill! My electric bill would be so much cheaper if I were with ANYONE else!! Operating a whole home generator all year would be less expensive!

  7. Constant Outages, Overpriced and when you speak with them they pretty much tell you to just eat it. Budget billing is’nt real either. There is no reason why electric should cost as much as a car payment, and you cant just tell your …

  8. Pioneer is an abysmal company. They continuously turn off our electric for down time and never can get it turned on during the time provided that they said they would. They’re prices are astronomical. Once had a bill over $700+ in the …

  9. My December bill was $108 and some change, January was $239, February is $341!! Wanna know the kicker?? We DO NOT have a furnace..only a wood burner stove for heat with no fan. We have even quit watching T.V as much to keep the bill down. …

  10. Very unhappy with this pioneer electric since moving to the area. They overcharge customers, website is full of bugs & they will suddenly shut your power off without first notifying you. I advise not moving to an area where they’re you’re only option of electric providers. I’ve hated their service from day 1.

  11. I have always had friendly and prompt service from Pioneer over the decade I’ve been a resident and member of the Co-op.
Today, power was out in our neighborhood due to a fallen power pole. My phone …
