Rhode Island Credit Union has experienced many changes throughout our history. The Board and Management have continued to respond to industry changes in an effort to keep up with an ever changing financial and technological market. Our unique business model where credit union members are the owners of the institution proves to be as effective today as it was in 1946 when Rhode Island Credit Union was founded. The idea of serving only the needs of credit union members, not distant shareholders is what guides our decision-making process. It is inevitable that changes will be made from time to time to keep the Credit Union viable and competitive. Like every other business, we adapt to the business realities of our time. Even as changes happen, we will continue to work hard to maintain our commitment to personal service and our dedication to strengthening the outstanding relationships with our existing and future members in the communities we serve.

Them my friends.
I Love the Service
Unsatisfied with their process..
Professional. Courteous. Great programs
It always takes 15-20 mins on average to talk to someone. Some times it is even more
Worse bank. I thought citizens bank were crooks they are the worst.🤬👎 …
The employees are wonderful lovely. Thanks for the 5 Star customer services.
Best experience of any financial institution. Very professional and timely! Recommend strongly!
Fiscally sound. Excellent management. Staff friendly. Products are comprehensive & highly competitive. Strategic locations
It’s a great local bank. Low fees and nice people Never too busy either.
The customer service at the Cranston Branch is terrible. They act put out over a simple question. I called the Providence Branch and they were extremely helpful.
For over the past 33 yrs the banking consistancy honesty and the politeness of those who work there is why I continue to bank with RI Credit Union. The rates are great.
Absolutely horrible place. Anytime I have to do ANYTHING other than deposit money, it’s a hassle. They don’t have their own app, their website is in the stone age. Don’t bank with these people. Use a REAL bank.
Rude customer service people that provide different answers to the same issues depending on who you speak to. I’ve had to call to get help with their confusing & outdated online portal and I’m rushed off the phone every time. I’m paying …
Online banking is nothing short of a joke.
I’ve honestly never been in a more incompetent environment. I had to go four separate times to try and open business and personal accounts. Ridiculous staff who have no idea what they’re doing and are constantly on the phone asking other people what to do. Do NOT choose this bank of you value your sanity.
Terrible bank to deal with, you cant even change your address using the portal. I was asked to send a letter, did that and still the address hasn’t been updated. Its like dealing with an 18th century bank, terrible.
Have my car loan through them, the absolute worst. They make it impossible to do anything with their ridiculous hours. Customer service on the phone was no help. Told me I had to go to the branch to change my address. No online payment …
This place is trash and so are the people that work here don’t expect anything to go smooth here get ready to waste a lot of time and to deal with the employees attitudes.
Provides outdated banking, online features are sparse at best. There is no banking app. Service is mediocre. To top it off there is not one bathroom available to members out of the entire building at the branch on Francis street in …
Walked in to open an account and sat in the lobby for fifteen minutes without anyone saying a word to me. Two reps, one helping a customer and the other sitting at her computer looking busy. No acknowledgment. SonI am bringing my business somewhere else. Why Sprint partners with this credit union I’ll never understand.
I’ve been banking with RICU for almost 10 years and I honestly do not even know why I’ve driven myself crazy for this long. I have dealt with some of the rudest people in customer service I have ever dealt with – often with staff speaking …
The absolute worst banking institution I have ever dealt with. None of the staff members ever smile. The online banking is very “clunky” to say the least. They aren’t open on Saturdays. You’re unable to transfer funds to other account …
The friendliest bank I’ve ever dealt with. Carmen and Danielle went above and beyond to make my experience seamless. I highly recommend the Pascoag branch!
I have had nothing but terrible experiences with the Providence branch. Their online banking is pretty much non existent, all you can do is check your balance and reorder checks. I’d recommend sticking with a well known bank, they offer much more.
I have done 2 car loans with this credit union and both with Marilyn Meas. She worked hard for us, very professional, answered all our questions. And when we found a car she did her best to give us a quick closing. She’s in the Cranston office. Great employee and thank you for working hard on our behalf.
I have been a customer for more than 20 yrs and never had a problem….When I went in for debt consolidation they were more then helpful and help me achieve my goal and as a member there I got a terrific rate…..BUT CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A APP …
Worst experience ever in my entire life trying to refinance my car loan!
Avoid at all costs. Antiquated policies, tellers & equipment. ATM is broken weekly. Find someplace else to do your banking.
I wish I could remember name of who helped me but she was so helpful, good humored, and kind. Thank you, awesome human w the aquamarine ring!
Worst bank ever. Their policies make no sense. No two branches follow the same rules. Tammy is rude and speaks to her customers like children. Their online banking is useless. They claim to have to do everything in person. Maybe of they …
I opened this credit union account in the summer, the atm card has never worked which is problematic because my whole check is deposited.
I came in upon realizing this (you know when I was traveling and the card didn’t …
Jen the worker was extremely rude, hung up the phone after practically cussing out a customer. What kind of bank is this where customers aren’t respected? In what world do you curse a customer and and tell her you are going t hang up? Customer service training needed.
Mobile app is trash. Transferred money from external account does not be deposited into my account until weeks later but so quick to take money out from my citizens bank account. Fast to take our money from external accounts but not as fast …
