  1. Fantastic food & great portion. My husband had shrimp & grits. He raved over his meal. I opted for a medium well hanger steak. It was cooked perfectly. The fried green tomatoes & short ribs appetizers were absolutely delicious. I’d eat here again!

  2. The food in this restaurant is horrible, and incredibly over priced. We ordered the calamari and it taste like it had a box of salt on it! And the $32 steak dish had no season, and taste like rubber. Don’t waste your money. McDonald’s would be a better choice!!

  3. Queen MJ was an amazing server. She was knowledgeable of the menu and help us select our choices since it was our first time. The food was amazing!! Will be back

  4. Good drinks, good food, good vibes! I have been here several times, and it’s always a good experience. The servers and bartenders are all very nice, and the overall atmosphere is great More

  5. Our team decided on 204 North for our Christmas lunch and gift exchange. Good service. Appetizers included calamari and peanut butter hummus. Entree selections at the table included the Cobb salad, Turkey club and sliders.

  6. Fast service, friendly staff nice dining environment. Portion of salmon was spot on. Unfortunately they didn’t have one of the dinner options the Bolognese – I realize restaurants run out of ingredients but if you only have 8 meal choices …

  7. Food wasn’t as mind blowing as the prices. Ordered the $40 steak and it was bland and over cooked. Service was swell and the ambiance was relaxing. Might be back for drinks only.

  8. Took my fiancée here for dinner and we were thoroughly impressed with the food! We started with the fried oyster deviled eggs and they were probably some of the best I’ve had. She ordered the chicken picatta and I had the pork chop, both were cooked to perfection and the taste was spot on. Service was great and drinks even better!

  9. Great Mother’s Day brunch! Had the Farmer’s Omelette and it was fabulous! Paul was a great server! Highly recommend for great food and friendly atmosphere!

  10. The professional waitstaff and pleasant atmosphere were undercut by the mediocre food (We were there for dinner.). We would return for a drink and an appetizer. It’s convenient to all the cultural and sports venues. More

  11. The atmosphere is comfortable but the service was disconnected and we didn’t receive our orders properly. The food was ok, hubby enjoyed the crab cake; the risotto balls were too but overcooked. The lamb meatballs were tasty but cold and needed more sauce.

  12. We just happened upon this restaurant on Christmas Eve, needless to say everything was closed but this restaurant. We are so happy that circumstances lead us here. The service was awesome! The food came out in a timely manner and the drinks were great! The shrimp and grits were amazing!

  13. Our crab cake appetizer had quite a few shells in it. The waitress/ bartender (we sat at bar due to no reservation) acted as if we were a complete burden to her. Once, I tried to get her attention and she wanted me to yell to the other end …

  14. Fantastic brunch! Chicken and waffles were great. But what made the visit even greater, our server Kate! I couldn’t ask for better service, and even greater personality. Kate made our visit a definite 10/10.

  15. I was looking for Sunday brunch and was extremely disappointed with my dining experience. Staff was nice but the cook put my other party’s bacon on my plate and said “y’all family right”. I ordered a farmers omelette/with biscuit, but I …

  16. Omg…1st time here.. food and service was amazing…I got the wedge salad & the shrimp and grits….our server Latosha was so friendly and down to earth.. will be back for brunch

  17. Went here for a friends birthday. Had been meaning to try it for a while. Thought the food was very good and a great environment. Strong location if you’re planning on going out to the bars after dinner. I would realistically give it like a four and a half Stars.

  18. First visit with friends last night pre-James Taylor concert. Food was very good – especially the shrimp & grits and the COUNTRY HAM ARANCINI. But the service was terrible, especially from the bar. It took forever to get our drinks and they …

  19. Great place, only reason it’s not a 5 star is because the lamb meatballs came out with a cold center. However the sauce on the meatballs is amazing. The other 2 things I had were great and hot! The bartender wasn’t very social, ok I guess …

  20. This is the worst service I have had in a long time. Granted, places are short staffed and i understand there will be a wait but the complete lack of awareness was alarming. Took over 30 minutes just to get a coffee and tea and when they …

  21. Most of the restaurants in the area had long waiting list so we gave this place a try. Host sat us at 645 & told us we have to be done by 830 due to resv for next customer. Waitress was friendly but it was downhill from there. 2 of the 6 …

  22. The food was bland & not worth the money. They gave me dry room temperature Hawaiian rolls straight out of the pack. I ordered Nashville Hot Chicken & it just tasted like honey. No spice. The drinks were nasty and watered down really fast …

  23. The food was absolutely delicious. We did the meat and cheese board to start. Had a couple of their specialty cocktails. We then tried the lamb meatballs and Puntine. Our waitress was phenomenal. We even received a visit from the manager, who was super friendly and looks like he knows how to run the establishment well.

  24. This restaurant was amazing, and the moment I walked in, the staff set to maintaining attentiveness at each step in the dining experience. I was, of course, welcomed in with a warm hello which was one of great surprise. The host and front …

  25. Based on the signage outside, I wasn’t even sure if they served food, but they do and it’s fantastic! A bit pricier than I expected for brunch, but we were able to sit at the bar without a reservation which is just what we needed. They …

  26. Nice atmosphere to walk into. With a decent size bar to sneak over too to by pass the long reservation time for a table. Not only do you get to skip the reservation but you are greeted with an amazing bar tender, who is engaging and entertaining. The food was limted in selection but was simple and delightful. More

  27. Spent an early Saturday hanging out at the bar with a friend. We’ve been multiple times now and every time it’s been great. We had drinks, and decided to eat all at the bar and were so glad we did. …

  28. On Saturday June 18, 2022 we tried 204 for dinner for the first time. A month before we stopped in for a drink at the bar – that experience was amazing. Since we had such a great encounter we decided to come back and bring a group friends …

  29. Went for dinner and had the shrimp and grits, delicious! They also have a great wine selection! Had dessert too, yum!! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, my husband had the flat iron and said it wasn’t very good 🙁

  30. Good place to eat brunch in Charlotte, NC but I do have a few complaints. First, I never got a waiter. I had to ask the lady serving the table beside me (who got there way after me) if I could get some water to drink. I guess after that she …

  31. The food was excellent. The whiskey was superb. The service was over the top. We inadvertently left out phones in an Uber (no, hadn’t had a drop at that point). Panic time. The bartender kindly let my son use her phone to track down the …

  32. Lively service with ‘The Queen!’ She was delightful, explained the menu, offered her favorites, and each interaction with her was a treat. Delicious menu choices, great chill vibe, and highly recommend this Charlotte gem! More

  33. In the epic words of King Arthur in Monty Python -“you make me sad”. This was probably the most lackluster brunch I’ve had in years, as in, we didn’t even finish eating. I’m not saying any of this to be cruel, mean, or spiteful at all, but …

  34. A really strong 4 stars. Our food was delicious, bar was super slow which is as important for a night out. The appetizer we ordered (brie and peach) said it came with crostini but came with crackers. We ordered the mahi fish daily special …

  35. My wife and I recently went to 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails for dinner before catching a show in uptown. We don’t do meat so we tried the Chef’s Vegetarian Dish with Scallops. I’m from New England know good scallops, these scallops were …

  36. I would love to give this place a great review, but when we arrived at 7:12pm we were told the kitchen was closed even though the posted closing time was 8pm. The saving grace was the bartender and a fabulous craft cocktail. I hope one day …

  37. I wanted to try something new for brunch. 204 caught my eye and that was that. We walked in and liked the environment from the start. We were seated quickly and served with water in a similar fashion. Once seated the music was initially way …

  38. Fantastic service at the bar on a slow night after Christmas in uptown. Our group of three raved over the oyster-topped deviled eggs and also enjoyed several other small options: wedge salad, creamy tomato soup, and warm brie. Our bartender made excellent selections, including a $10 McKenna 10 bottled in bond. Cheers!

  39. Really appreciated the thoughtfulness of all staff and grateful they were able to accommodate myself and my daughter. We would definitely visit again when in town. More

  40. Yum! Whenever I have family or friends in town, I take them to 204 for great food in an amazingly relaxed atmosphere. Their food is delicious and the building has so much character. Never had anything that wasn’t amazing!

  41. Darion was our server and he was very pleasant, attentive and a joy to be around , the service was great and the food was good as well, this was our second time and we will definitely be back, thanks for a good time More

  42. Definitely a $$$ restaurant and worth every penny. The deviled egg with the fried oyster, garlic shrimp were stand out apps. The salmon entree with the mashed potatoes was amazing. The char-cano cocktail was delicious. Peter was a friendly and knowledgeable server. Great dinner, will definitely go back for a dessert tasting.

  43. Great place for drinks and dinner in uptown Charlotte. The atmosphere is rustic and relaxed. Main dishes are locally sourced and freshly prepared. From multiple trips, I can recommend the shrimp & grits, flat iron steak, and salmon dinner …

  44. My 1st time – agency held an buffet event here and it was fantastic food! All kept warm and plenty replaced when the food was low. The service is phenomenal and cool staff! …

  45. Wow! Charlotte is need of this type of vibe! We had Matt as our server and he was one of the best servers I have ever had! He came out with water when we greeted us, he was super knowledgeable about the menu, food was hot when he brought it …

  46. 204 North was a pleasant surprise in downtown Charlotte. The food was moderately priced and it was good American fare. We were greeted and seated quickly. There were a lot of cocktails and beer available. The food was pretty good though my steak was a bit overcooked. The cutlery board was great and very delicious.

  47. Visited for lunch yesterday! Super convenient and close to my office. Ordered the steak and frites with one of their signature drinks. Friendly service, food was quick to come out, and tasted great. Would recommend and will be back! More

  48. Took 30min to be greeted when we had a reservation- service was terrible. Food was too salty, specifically the calamari and the risotto appetizer sauce tastes like straight tomato paste. There’s a spot on the way to the restroom that is way too slick- safety hazard that seriously needs to be addressed. More

  49. Read all! My husband and I decided to walk around Charlotte and grab lunch. As you enter 204 North Kitchen you feel welcome. We didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar which was fairly spaced. We didn’t have drinks but they looked …

  50. An incredible dining experience, very friendly staff with a good sense of humor, plenty of options for whatever flavor you may be craving. The vanilla french toast was to die for. Our waitress was friendly and checked in at the right times …

  51. Let me just start off by saying Tia was the best Waitress ever!! Her energy, constant checkups to see if we were doing okay, recommendations, and just the genuine conversations made our first experience even better. The food was spot on. Will definitely be back!!!! More

  52. My husband and I came to 204 for Thanksgiving. We’ve been with our daughter in NICU for almost two weeks now, and it has not been easy, so we were just wanting some time to ourselves. We cannot say enough nice things about their staff. They …

  53. We must have been living live right because we were able to score a seat, last minute, on a Saturday night before a musical. The place was obviously packed but there was a couple getting to leave from the corner of the bar (first come …

  54. Nice time with friends for one of their wedding shower for brunch🥰 the venue was not very vegetarian or vegan friendly…please offer more options😇 parking is horrible. I parked in Truist public parking…cost $18 for less than 2 hours🤪 …

  55. Food was phenomenal! Calamari was delicious. Best I’ve ever had! Wish I could remember my waiters name he was awesome. First time booking this restaurant and definitely won’t be the last. Every dish we had was amazing. More

  56. I will say our waitress was super nice and amazing. Our calamari was seasoned and fried super well! I would order to go calamari from here. Yes it was that good. The not so good was my bolognese. It had no flavor at all. I actually stopped …

  57. I really enjoyed the meals, they were very delicious and good portions! Just wish they had a little bit more options but they do have options for pescatarians which is a huge plus! And really love the lowkey chill vibes while you are enjoying your meal. More

  58. Was looking to try a new place and prayed not to be disappointed. I can definitely say that 204 North definitely does not disappoint! My brother and I visited and the food was amazing, the drinks were on point and our server Tia was beyond …

  59. I want to go back just for the Empress of Tryon cocktail! It was sooo good!!! We dined there for wedding rehearsal dinner with a party of 25 so the menu was prefixed. I had the (teeny tiny) Caesar Salad and Salmon entree served with crispy potatoes and green beans. Added some Tabasco for flavor since it was lacking a bit. More

  60. Sunday morning for brunch at 11 am. We were the second table in the restaurant. Greeted and seated quickly. Service was attentive and friendly. $5 mimosas. Food came from the kitchen fast and was good. More

  61. Make sure you make a reservation. The burger I had was good and hit the spot. It’s a clean establishment and has a cool cafeteria type feel to it. Watch out for the tall blonde who seems to be more intrested in taking pictures of the food …

  62. Went in for quick drink before a show.
The place was busy but not full, and we even managed to get a sit at the bar.
The place is very nice and has a great vibe to it. …

  63. Reservations are highly recommended for 205 North Kitchen. Luckily reservations can easily be made from right here in Google Maps. A lot of the tables are very high tops, so make sure to request a low table. The food was good and we really …

  64. Came in for brunch as a party of five shortly after they opened. We were sat promptly but told we’d have to squeeze in on a 4 top high top. We understood because we had no reservation. The only problem about this is that there were plenty …
