worst phone call ever, take me 30 min and still wait….
My favorite utility!
One of the worst customer service experiences i’ve ever had.
The is the City of Seattle’s Municipal Tower, where most of its departments is located.
Very long wait time only to speak to somebody why was unsympathetic to my problem and was unable to provide any solution
Website doesn’t work and refuses to verify my identity properly.
I hate to use the phone call when I need solve problem, It is rarely find someone and sometimes it takes long time guiding to nowhere.
Friendly customer service, never had a problem with SPU.
So if you they owe you a refund it take them 10-12 weeks to issue a check. disgraceful service!
I can’t believe how incredibly rude their customer service is. I have never dealt with such a horrible person. She clearly is in the wrong business
Todd was very polite, patient, and helpful. Was painless setting up our utilities.
Call on a Friday afternoon 13:30 (during working hours), waiting online for more than 20 mins, still not be transferred to a representative. Tried one more time, still not connected to representative.
They are mad that you even called..
Awful customer service. I have been emailing and calling for months now, just trying to get a change of address sorted out, and I have been put on hold 20+ minutes every time. Unresponsive to email and unwilling to help when they finally do reply to emails.
A whopping no stars for this lot. Customer service, they couldn’t spell it never mind offer it. 30 minutes on hold listening to torturous muzak. Will they answer in this lifetime? I think not. A disgrace, but then it is Seattle!
Terrible customer service. After long wait on the phone the representatives are rude and seem to ignore why the customer is calling. They seem more concerned about reading their script and not listening to the caller. Are we stuck with this kind of service?
Clean streets is one of the worst programs of all the garbage programs I’ve seen in many cities. Basically they doubled our garbage bills and created a lot of extra work for us in the limits on when we can put it out and the alleys of the …
On 04/05/14, I submitted a request online, asking how to get the metal frame around my meter lid fixed, as someone had driven over it and broken it. Less that a week later, the I noticed that the entire frame had been replaced. Great work . . . and thanks!
The Seattle Public Utilities (SeaPU) is a conglomerate of Seattle’s various utilities programs that includes not only Water Service, Sewer and Drainage Services, Garbage/ Recycling/Compost Services, but aslo Electricity. Yet, our City of …
SPU scheduled non-emergency water repair on my street on a Saturday, interrupting water service on the day of the week most likely to inconvenience people. Then they didn’t finish the job, leaving us without water for the whole weekend. …
Seattle Public Utilities billing department has its collective head up its ass. Somehow they have managed to eff up my bill three times in a row – yes, that’s 6 months straight of screw ups – all because I simply removed my ex-husband from …
EXPENSIVE FULL COLOUR BROCHURE ON 2021 WATER QUALITY WE GET HALF WAY THROUGH 2022….WHOSE POCKETS ARE LINED? ANONYMOUS. MINUS 1 MEANING A G FOR GREEDY!
Wednesday this week your 2 men crew repaired a leak in the water supply line after the meter to my property on West McGraw Street in Magnolia. It was a challenging job due to the significant slope and depth of the pipe. …
I have had to call SPU/SCL a handful of times in the last year or so because I’ve moved a couple of times and purchased a home. Every experience I’ve had with their customer service team has been pleasant and helpful. It’s never fun to have …
It is over a month and counting for them to replace my broken garbage. container… Getting tired of picking up the garbage that animals can access because there is no lid… Called at least four times… Blah, Blah, Blah, No end in …
I have been incorrectly billed for an amount of $560. This took place over 10 months ago now. Every person that I have spoken to is not helpful, refuses to let me speak to a manager, or tell me when I will get reimbursed. I was given a …
Cannot close an account after moving out unless you call them. Who cancel accounts by phone in 2018? …
Rude and unhelpful. We have a Seattle Public Utilities and Seattle City Light account. We overpaid our SCL account and had a credit of over $1000. Our SPU bill we accidentally didn’t pay and owed $314. They shut off our water! Both SPU and …
Sent me a bill charging me for 20,000 gallons of water I didn’t use. They read the meter wrong. Will take 2 months to reissue the bill. Horrible customer service.
Bought a house that had the power disconnected from SCL at the pole. Their phone hold times are super long. Their customer service people are sweet enough but they don’t seem to understand this process well enough to be able to relay it to …
They never notify you when they decide not to do their job. You’ll just get complaints from tenants one day and they’ll tell you they didn’t do their job so go do it for them and take out your own trash, but by all means, continue to pay us we want your money.
No stars- they double debited our account and a month later have still not returned the money!!! They would not correct the error the same day it happened and said it would take at least 10 days to reverse “their” mistake!! The rep today …
My girlfriend and I bought a house. Our first utility bill was over $1000 because of a mistake with previous owner not closing out his bill. We contacted them and were told they would fix the error. We kept getting bills with amount we …
The employees who answer phones are always super nice! Never had any issues with my account or billing, and when I’ve called for clarification on things they are always friendly and knowledgable.
Stopped to talk to Mike and Bill while they were finishing up putting in this fire hydrant. They were happy to answer my questions, and I learned a bit about the water system. The hydrant looks great and they kept everything clean where they were working!
They accidentally took one of our recycling cans. I called and spoke with Carroll, seriously, the nicest person I have ever talked to in costumer service. She said we’d get a new can in about 5 days and then we got one like 12 hours later.
